   My trips to Tahoe are not as often so I only get in every year or two. This was the first time I saw a significant decline in the level of service from the wait staff. They had no one on the staff that knew the wines from the wine list. I guess the more expensive restaurants at Stateline are getting the good wait staff. That being said, the food was very very good, and prepared as requested. The sunset was amazing from the window.

   It was our first time dining at the Chart House at Lake Tahoe. The ambience was great due to the view. The food was tasty along with our desserts. The drinks were strong, as they should be. But I really have to issue our server Frankie, superstar status! She made our dining experience better with her great demeanor and attention. The whole experience at the Chart House was just awesome!

   Everything was perfection, the food was amazing, every bite delicious. The staff was friendly and courteous and treated everyone like a VIP. The view was breathtaking. Will definitely be back!

   This location is on a mountainside overlooking Lake Tahoe, however, the trees block most of the view. The food is consistent with other Chart House locations. Service was nice and everything was tasty. The lobster bisque is very good.

   We had our favorite table that we requested, my husband I each ordered the 7 oz filet mignon, it was delicious as was the cream spinach and cheese cake. Server was great, she was attentive without being overly bothersome.

   It was an excellent dining experience that only Landry's provides. All aspects of the dining experience were achieved. Tonight we celebrated my wife's birthday and the Chart House personalized the menu with a Birthday greeting. Bravo!!

   Our party of 4 enjoyed a very special evening together to celebrate their visit from Texas to take in the beautiful sights of Lake Tahoe. We arrived early to enjoy Happy Hour, then were seated at a table that offered a gorgeous view of Lake Tahoe at sunset. Dinner selections were superbly plated and sea food was fresh and impeccably prepared. The wait staff were knowledgeable and attentive, answering questions we had about the preparation of food, and assisting with our wine selection. A perfect ending to a very special visit with our guests.

    I’ve been going to the Chart House on Kingsbury Grade since it first opened. Prior to that it was not a chain. It was called the Pony Express. It was actually the owner’s house with an adjoining restaurant. The view and ambiance are superb. The music was a little loud, but our waiter took care of that for us. We both had seafood dishes. They were reasonably priced in the $30s IMHO. Mine was the shell fish bouillabaisse and it was quite good. Service was very fast. Reservation was 5:30pm. It wasn’t busy yet. Desserts are good. The famous LavaCake has to be ordered early. It’s a Chart House specialty. It’s a unique location to enjoy. One of the best they own. It would be pointless to criticize the prices. Some dishes are upwards of $50. It’s a type of restaurant for special occasions.
