Wash the windows. We over 2 hrs dinning. Totally gave up on our next engagement for the evening. What do grits cost? Our shrimp dish had, mayde a table spoon of grits. The grouper plate looked like a childs plate. I enjoy tge one in Daytona. I will not be returning with upscale client's.
Awful food, completely overpriced. If your seeking Applebee's quality at $40 a plate than this place is for you.
Food was substandard. Venue really nice, service good, but food was poor. Mahi over cooked, Mac and cheese bland. Priced way higher than quality
even though our server forgot to bring us a side dish until I mentioned it, the total experience was marvelous. food was prepared to perfection. as a long-time woodworker I was fascinated by all the wood features throughout. simply beautiful. well done to the designers and craftsmen. we will be back.
We went on a Thursday nite restaurant was nearly empty
Felt like we were up charged for everything
Food was just ok .Our server was nice
Our bad we had the salad bar did not ask the added price
Ate what would have been a salad that came with ur
Dinner $10. Each
We were in Miami all week, and eat at Joe’s. This not so lovely
Nite was Way Way more expensive
Somewhat disappointed. The staff seemed indifferent toward us. Our waitress was not knowledgeable about the menu. She had to go to the kitchen to get the answers to simple questions.
When leaving we noticed they had put a tablecloth over the salad bar which means they were saving it for tomorrow. Nothing is fresh. Our fish, which was the special, I could tell it had been frozen. It was not flakey like grouper is normally. The fish was mushy.
A bit overpriced for what you get.
Delicious meal and outstanding views of the city! Loved eating and being entertained by the dolphins swimming up stream!
Salad "Farm Bar" was empty. Brought this to my servers attention but to no avail.
Celebrated our 30th Anniversary and no complimentary item was provided.
Was an old favorite but they are no comparison to the comparable establishments.
We had a 645 reservation for mother’s day. We were seated on time. The restaurant was busier than normal fo “chart house” I would say 75% of tables were full. They were already out of prime rib. We were totally ok with that because you can’t predict perfectly. What upset us was that from when we sat down to when we got our entree it was just over 2 hours!!! They al came out sporadically and some stuff was hot and some was cold. Once they delivered our dessert for the table to share it was 9:30. The kitchen clearly was not on the same page and this restaurant was not prepared.
Awesome food and our waitress Rachel was outstanding. The view while eating is breathtaking
Sad to say that one of our all time favorite places, the Chart House , has really gone down hill. We will never go back. The service was not good. The prime rib had no flavor and way too much fat. Even the ajous and horse raddish was tasteless. Had to send the first one back and the 2nd was not any better. The prime rib at the Ale House is better at 1/3 the price. The asparagus and mashed potatos were also bland . Only thing good was the bottle of wine that I selected and the calamari .
Below you can see how much fat my 2nd piece had. Ginny's was equally bad. I noticed other people cutting half of their prime rib from the fat as well.
Its a shame to ruin a special day and spend a lot of money on a sub par meal. Its back to Capital Grill for us.
Mother’s Day. Great atmosphere, not crowded at all.
The overall experience was good and we like this restaurant. We have been dining at Chart House for near 30 years; but it is not what it used to be. This was a Mother’s Day occasion, we had five adult and two kids meals. Four of the adult plates came out together; I do appreciate they set the two mothers plates out first. The children’s meals did not arrive until about five minutes later. The fifth adult plate did not come out until ten minutes after that. The manager came out and told me he would ‘comp’ the last meal out for taking so long. Well enough but, as table etiquette goes, we all waited to begin eating until the last meal was brought, so the one ‘comped’ meal was the only one eaten hot. The others all had a cold plate.
To add insult to injury the manager came back out and interrupted our meal. I allowed the interruption as I thought he was trying to make amends for the meals not arriving at the same time. Instead he attempted to sell me an annual meal reward points plan for $25. This appalling gesture appeared to be nothing but an attempt to recoup the cost of compensating one of the meals.
Overall, we like the chart house and will dine there again. This was not our best experience there.
Came here for mother’s day. Good value. Good service.
the restaurant was amazing. I was very upset and had to hold my temper at the beginning. I made a reservation for 8pm for my mom and me for mothers day. we arrived at 745pm and checked in. a couple that had a 745pm reservation arrived after us at 815pm. they were seated before us after missing their reservation and arriving after us when we arrived early. then we weren't seated until 835pm. I was so outraged that a restaurant of this caliber screwed up. the people that arrived 30min late after us should have been seated after us. I find this totally unprofessional. if it wasn't for the amazing food, waiter, and scenery I would have made a big scene. the food was delicious, the view from our table was gorgeous and the waiter was truly amazing
Our experience was very poor. We made our reservation a month ago. We waited an hour for a table and then got a table that was on top of a large group with small children. It was Mother’s Day so I do understand families being there.
We moved tables three times.
Our food was very average. They did not have rare prime rib, and only one choice of steaks on the menu.
We have been to the Chart House many times in Melbourne. Our experiences there were very positive.
We will not be back to the Jacksonville Chart House.
WORST SERVICE EVER LEFT US SITTING AT OUR TABLE FOR 30 MINUTES WAITER SAID HE DIDNT SEE US AND PLUS THEY HAD HIM DOING OTHER THING KEPT APOLOGIZING OUR WHOLE MEAL COULDNT ENJOY IT I WORK IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY WORST SERVICE EVER WILL TELL EVERYONE THATS IN THE BUSINESS IF YOU IN DUVAL DONT EAT HERE NICE VIEW OF RIVER BUT SERVICE IS TERRIBLE
WE ARRIVED AT 5:45 STATING WE NEEDED TO BE READY FOR A CHECK BY 7 OR SO TO MEET
OUR THEATER TIMES AT 7:30. DINNER CAME IN BAGS AS WE WERE LEAVING THE RESTAURANT
AT 7:15. WE ATE SOME OF IT THE NEXT DAY AFTER IT SAT IN OUR CAR FOR 3 HOURS. HOW WOULD YOU RATE THE SERVICE?
Overall the experience was top tier. I’ve always ate here for happy hour, this was the first time I dined here. Everything was great accept the male hostess at the front was extremely unprofessional and incompetent. Other than that this would have been a 5 star rating hands down.
Beautiful view, Delicious salad bar with variety, great wait staff
Very nice evening before a concert. Friendly and accommodating
Our server Kelly was awesome! She was funny and delivered great service! We were in town for Welcome to Rockville and it was a celebration for my husband and his brother’s birthday! There was Happy Birthday printed on their menu and they rolled it up and tied with a bow for us to take home! Food was great, craft cocktails awesome!
Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food delicious and beautiful setting.
They made my daughter's graduation dinner very special with personalized menus.
From start to finish-an exceptional dinner matching the service. Our server Anita was tremendous, recommending the zucchini blossoms with house made ricotta, local Bibb lettuce and truffle honey and our entrees-the Hawaiian Seabass with lemon beurre bland and whipped yukons with grilled leeks. The amuse bouche was a bite of perfection-foie gras and grape spoon. It was a perfect dinner with impeccable service! We cannot wait to come back on our next trip. Compliments to the Chef and the entire staff.
Would have given 5 stars but the apple cherry crisp dessert was disappointing.
Always in all ways enjoy Chart House...from the excellent service, thank you Stephen, to the ambiance...Stephen answered our many questions about menu items, how prepared and ingredients. He also recommended wine, again informative and offered tasting before deciding. The special, jumbo lump filet with gaucho butter was absolutely divine for want of a better word. It is rare that I clean my plate but so tender, so flavorful that I did! There were 8 of us and all agree it was a wonderful dining experience.
Also cannot forget to mention side salad bar good and Chart House salad yummy!
For later in the evening the server was slow!
Great seafood, excellent service beautiful view of the river.
The food was outstanding. Our waiter was friendly, helpful, and attentive
Great place for a special dinner. Pretty pricey for what you get and some sides are not able to be substituted. Ridiculous that you have to sit in bar area to get happy hour prices. If you have happy hour it should be throughout restaurant.
Been here several time always very satisfied
We were looking for someplace special to celebrate an anniversary and we found it. Waitstaff, bar and even the valet were nice. May decide to celebrate some other anniversary so we can go again. Enjoy!
Beautiful building, superior service, and awesome food. We truly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you.
There are a lot of new kids in town but the Chart House still holds it’s own! Fresh, updated, special and oh so delicious!
We love the Chart House in Jacksonville. Every time we visit, we always have one meal there! Great location on the ST Johns River with good views from almost any sitting area. Whether you are a sea food lover or a red meat connoisseur, you will not be disappointed! Great wine selection as well!
Lovely and relaxing
Brian was an awesome and professional server.
This was our first time at this restaurant.
Food was excellent and my compliments to your chef.
