Chart House Restaurant - Jacksonville Ratings and Reviews
The coconut shrimp & bruschetta appetizers were very good and the prime rib was very good as well, but the Caesar salad had tough yellow lettuce in lieu of green leafy pieces and was saturated with garlic. The manager came by to inquire about our concerns but didn't seem too care as he had few words and left promptly.
For the price we paid for three people in an environment of outdated interior finishes, we would have been better off going to one of the high-end restaurants at St. Johns Town Center.
I was initially not pleased because I arrived and was told by the Hostess that there were no available tables even though I made a reservation . She advised we could go to the bar while we waited for a table to become available and could even eat at the bar if we choose. I advised that the purpose of my reservation was to have a table for my birthday . The next hostess did make things right and the remainder of the evening was excellent. All of the Hostesses should understand the purpose of a reservation. Thank you
For special occasions the ambience is tops. The menu with congratulations on our anniversary printed at the top is a nice touch. Some of the best service while being unobtrusive. Always enjoy the salad bar. My wife’s filet mignon was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Must mention that my scallops and shrimp were over cooked. Not inedible but the scallops were close. Did not wish to interrupt our evening so I completed meal without complaint . When informed of the over cooked seafood I was offered another entree which I declined as I had eaten my meal. Just surprising at a fine dining establishment. Overall a special occasion spot.
I hadn't been here in several years. Very good but would have liked more salad dressing choices on salad bar. Also would have liked to see more white wines offered by the glass and a larger pour. Steak was delicious and the view was great. Very comfortable and lovely restaurant.
My wife and i were in town for a couple days for the Florida- Georgia game. We ate at the chart house our first night and loved everything about it! The building is so very cool, food excellent, service very good... jst had a really nice long dinner. Love the fact it wad5 right next door to or hotel Lexington as well! We will be back next year for another great dinner
It was amazing and the food was great, the server was very easy to talk to and was able to explain every thing on the menu we had a question about. The view was mesmerizing. You can see the stadium and bridge lighting reflecting off the water. Can’t wait to go back to this place.
The food was great as usual. The service was off from the normal. We have dined at this local several times over the years and the location in Daytona. The service was lacking. Had to request our drinks twice and go to th bar to get them. I could tell be the condensation on the glasses the drinks had been setting at the bar station for some time. Took a long time to get our meals. Very unusual and not the typical service we have received in the past. Disappointed with that aspect. $350 diner bill for 4 people . I would expect a better service experience.
I have been a long-term member of the town center community and really have not stepped outside very often over the past three years. But I have noticed that food has not been as quality in this area as it once was and that it seems more about mass production and less about the experience. I decided to venture to a very unfamiliar area and try out a restaurant based on the suggestion of a friend. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality the service and the overall feel of the establishment. Greeters at the front make sure you felt welcomed. The server was very attentive and also seem to be happy to work there. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who is not a consistent City goer. Make the trip it is truly worth it.
We’ve eaten at the Chart House often in our 5 year’s here in Jacksonville. The service this visit was fantastic and their attention to detail (printing personalized menus for our daughter’s 16th birthday) makes it our first choice for special occasions or date night!
The food was not as good this time as our previous visits (this visit was a Sunday night and our others have been on Friday or Saturday evenings).
We will definitely come back often, but maybe on an earlier weekend night!
I have been to Chart House years ago. The service has gone down extremely. I was very disappointed. I had to ask four times for an item that I initially requested. The steak was not cooked properly. The server was not attentive. Needless to say I will not be back.
Nice restaurant atmosphere on the water. Expected more in terms of the quality of food for the money. The food was rather bland and the soup in particular was cooked room temp at best. I reserved the table via the Open Table app and mentioned it was a bday celebration. No one at the restaurant asked us about it which was sort of odd. Expected more given the prices and upscale reputation of the chain.
My wife and I ate here on a Friday night via a reservation through open table. Or table was ready when we arrived almost 15 minutes early. Our waiter Burt was attentive without being clingy, had great insight and made excellent suggestions. We had the kim chee calamari for our appetizer which was way better than it sounds. I had stuffed flounder for my main course while the wifey had one of the best filet mignons that I've ever tried. To say that we were satisfied with our experience at the Chart House would be a huge understatement!
I have been taking my wife here for nearly 40 years for our anniversary and her birthday. This visit was the worst. The place was dirty mainly the floor. Now the waiter was good and was Jonny on the spot which was good. My prime rib was so bad , chewy and over half was fat. If I was the cook this piece of meat would of never went out. It’s not like it was the end of the night or so busy you had nothing left. We were the first ones there on this occasion. My bake potatoe was cold the butter wouldn’t melt. For $175. It should of melted in my mouth. I made it up to my wife by flying to palm coast and having brunch there the next day
Thanks for the try I was very disappointed
