Chart House Restaurant - Jacksonville Ratings and Reviews
The staff was super friendly and service was excellent. We had our first experience eating caviar and the staff instructed us on the proper way to enjoy it. Even though the cost is a bit more than we normally spend, we really enjoyed our visit. We already have reservations for our next visit.
Very good. Little pricey but the food, service and selection was good. Kim che calamari and Lobster bisque were great. Whole snapper was very warm, moist and flavorful. Partner’s filet was cooked as requested, very happy with her meal. Overall, a fun night with great friends and good food. And the lava cake was scrumptious!
I have now visited this restaurant twice for special occasions. The service is always awesome and the food match. You get greeted out front with the complimentary valet, front hotess who escorts you to your table and then the waiters are the friendliest and most efficient. My most recent visit we had Chris as our waiter for my friend birthday. He was amazing the card signed by all staff made my friend feel special. Nice view of the river, decent prices and great tasting food. Would recommend this place to anyone!
A MISERABLE EXPERIENCE UNFORTUNATELY. I HAD VISITED OTHER CHART HOUSES AND THEY WAERE VERY GOOD. I ASKED WAITER, CAMERON, HIS RECOMMENDATION BETWEEN AMBERJACK AND SWORDFISH, HE RECOMMENDED AMBERJACK WHICH I ORDERED, MY SON WANTED SWORDFISH, OPPS THEY DIDNT HAVE IT. CRUMMY MOVE. WAITED 20 MINUTES FOR BAD SPINACH SALAD. TURNS OUT AMBERJACK IS TRASH FISH AND WAS OILY. NEVER GO BACK ANYWHERE. STAY AWAY !!!!
My husband and I had two entrees -- Stuff flounder and Cedar Plank salmon. Our server was excellent -- however, the food, especially the sides, were barely warm. We didn't have time to send things back as we had a concert to attend. For that much money, we expect all the food to be hot. We Love the Chart House -- always have. We will return. But we were disappointed this go'round.
Unfortunately this was an extremely disappointing evening. It was New Years Eve and even though our waiter was good, the food was horrible (and I'm not a picky eater)!!!! The quality was less than going to Applebee's, however, the bill was $150 for the two of us and then there was a $10 valet for the car. I remember going to the Chart House as a child for very special occasions.....boy has the quality changed :0(
This was not our first visit to this establishment. We find it relaxing with a nice scenic view. overlooking the river and parts of Jacksonville. We had an early New Years eve dinner that was truly enjoyable. The service and food proved to be outstanding. Vance, our waiter, was personable, courteous, very service oriented and customer friendly. His service, the scenic view and the food quality and selection all made for a very enjoyable evening. If you like calimar, then you must try the Kim Chee Calimar as recommended by Vance as ours was amazing and melted in our mouths.
Let's be real. The only thing worth going to this restaurant for is the view, which is beautiful. The food is mediocre at best. It's overpriced for the quality. My husband and I were celebrating our 1 year anniversary. I even noted it on special events when reserving on open table, and we told the waiter. Nothing special was done except a generic card that said happy anniversary. I'm not asking for much, but every restaurant throws in a free dessert or something special. And after spending $200 on two entrees, 1 cocktail, 1 coors light, and 2 pieces of stale bread, I'd think you could at least do something special. We weren't even sat at a table next to the water. We could barely cut our prime rib. No thanks. I'll spend my money elsewhere.
Bartenders were nice a little in the weeds. Horrible hostess. I had a reservation by a window and she sat me early by no window. I told her I would wait since we are 20 mins early and that we were in no hurry. We had seats at the bar. It was two of us. Rachel server was outstanding if it wasn’t for her we would of left. Very upsetting when you were celebrating:(
went for our anniversary....as we have in the past....valet parking..seated promptly...not rushed...there for two hours....service very good and friendly...good menu choices ...lobster bisque very good...as was the warm chopped spinach salad...large enough for two, even three to share....snapper/Hemingway very tasty...great margarita...coffee and desert...boat parade on the river...beautiful lady of 55 years
Ordered plank salmond & rice and no vegatables. Restaurant not busy for holiday. Salmon bland, rice cold, and vegetables on plate which, when noted to server made little difference of wasted food. Spouse had seafood plate ... opinion fair. Both considered poor value. First wine arrived 34 minutes after seated with reservation. Ordered dessert from menu suggested by waitress .... returned to say they were out of it (one of four choices) and suggested we choose again. Kept in mind dessert gone only 2 hours into an 8 or 9 hour holiday meal. Looked for manager but not around on a day one would think should be easily found.
Can not suggest or return. Have had much better food and experience in restaurants on other side of the river.
