Hot Chocolate Lava Cake
A rich chocolate cake with molten center, made with Godiva liqueur. Served warm, topped with chocolate sauce, Heath bar crunch and vanilla ice cream
They do not honor reservation times. We had a reservation for 6:30 and we walked in to a massive crowd of people waiting for their reservation at 5pm. They hostess was an older woman who could not have been ruder to us and the other parties asking why people were being seated before us. She also handed menus to a family and just pointed at their table so they seated themselves!! Would much rather dine elsewhere.
Worst restaurant I’ve ever been to in Jacksonville. Went for Mother’s Day dinner. Food is not good and overcooked multiple times after sending back and finally giving up, poor service, good ambiance, waste of money. Basically paid $100 for a couple drinks and some burnt mushrooms and water. At least the view was nice.
Mother's Day experience was great. My wife and my Mother-in-law really enjoyed the meal, the wine, and the lava cake/ice cream dessert.
Fantastic food and great service. I will be back again.
Service from the time walked in door to departure was terrible and not as expected for a restaurant offering fine dining.
Great location and setting. Food was good, service was great.
Very enjoyable dining experience to celebrate Mother’s Day. Outstanding service from our server, Vance.
My wife poked Chart house for Mother’s Day dinner and expected good food and service. Well the opposite happened. Our service was slow and had to ask multiple times for water. Our drinks were never refilled. The crab cake was good but the shrimp cocktail looked like it t had freezer burn. My wife ordered lobster which was overcooked and tough and I had prime rib which was tasty but cool with a baked potato which was cold. We were there for over 2 hours since the service was bad. Will not be back
The margarita, steak and Lava cake were all so delicious!
The "greeters" up front as you enter the restaurant need some help. I got there and waited for my friends to arrive and told them I had friends coming, but when they arrived, they were not told I was already there. My friends had to call me on the phone to see if I was there and finally someone did bring them to the table. In addition, my prime rib was so full of chewy fat and gristle that I had a hard time eating it. I was very disappointed in my dinner and probably should have said something, but didn't want to upset my friends.
Over all great experience for an early month we day dinner.
Amazing! Our Anniversary dinner was complete. We especially loved the personalized menu. Tucker's service was extra-ordinary! Thank you for the memory. view, atmosphere!
Steak and mashed potatoes were delicious but the appetizer was served luke warm. Not much flavor to the spinach and artichoke dip.
Staff was very accommodating when we called saying we were running late. The wonderful views of the River add to such a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere that it can’t help but enhance your dining experience. In an effort to reduce our food intake because of Covid poundage, we each had a salad and we share the Red Snapper which was beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. Our server kindly substituted our potatoes for the vegetable couscous and that was a great compliment to the fish. Finished it all of with a taste of Key Lime Pie... tart and tangy. Oops, forgot to mention the Mango Mojito and the ice cold Margarita! We will surely visit the Chart House again in the near future.
I took my family to Charthouse to celebrate my daughter’s first job. The view was very nice. Our server was courteous and very polite. The food however for the price was very poor. The Caesar salad was warm, and the lobster bisque wasn’t tasty at all. The steaks however were good. Personally I like Choohouse 13 better. Overall it was ok, more disappointed than pleased.
The service at the Chart House tonight was excellent and the female server was especially gracious and attentive. The drinks were served in attractive glasses and were well prepared as always. The bar at the Chart House always does an excellent job. The bread on the table was excellent. I had snapper and my husband had prime rib. The fish appeared to be frozen and was very overcooked but still tasty. The fingerling potatoes were excellent and so was the salad. My husband’s prime rib was just so-so, according to him. The Chart House continues to improve but more work is needed to bring the food back up to what the standard was before Landry’s bought it.
The building the Chart House is located in is wonderful and the view from our table was spectacular. The linens were beautiful and the overall ambience was a great and fitting setting for an important business meeting or a special occasion. I am hoping that this venue will continue to work on its dinner entrees to produce a higher value product.
We would especially like to compliment the server for making this a special evening with old friends from out of town.
Only reason for not all 5 stars is the salad bar was still closed. Certainly not sure of all the rules but I see others with their salad bars open.....why not CH
Disappointing experience for Chart House. The salad bar was closed due to COVID and I understand that. They did say they were short staffed. We had a 7:45 reservation and were seated close to 8. It was probably 8:20 before they brought our salad and another 5-10 minutes before she came “right back” with another plate. It was 9:10 before our entrees were served and iced tea and water were empty more than they were full. 4 or 5 tables sat down after us and had meals served and left before we got our food. The men’s restroom was absolutely disgusting. A toilet had overflown with water standing on the floor. Instead of cleaning it up they put a caution wet floor sign down. We never even saw a manager or anyone except bus staff. Chart House is one of my favorites and this was far below their standards.
manager was great...that was were the great ended, waiter did not know the menu, food, wine list etc. Had taken people from out of town, nothing like it use to be !!!
Had a great experience and the personalized menus were a hit with my wife. Food was well prepared and the presentation, appealing. We had great seats with a good view of the river. My wife mentioned the restaurant could have washed the outside windows to have a clear view , but thats a minor detail. Oh, and being animal lovers it was great to see a stray kitty eating from a bowl. I’m thinking this was left by the staff. Good job!!
We had a wonderful experience! The food was good. The service, too!
Two things would have made it better.
1) the barchairs are a bit tall to get in and out of.
2) they were out of chessecake by 7pm.
Other than that a good time!
Atmosphere was great but the food was not good. My steak was way over cooked, my daughter and son ordered the prime rib which was a big mistake, it was thinly sliced and over cooked as well. We were highly disappointed.
We had a beautiful river view table. Our waiter was excellent. Food was perfect. Overall experience was great and just what we expected.
Food was over cooked. Drinks were served to the wrong people at the table. Super pricey for the quality of experience.
Kendall was amazing!
* my reviews are honest & unbiased. I'm not paid for reviews. I truly believe honest reviews help shoppers spend money wisely* my hubby took me here for my birthday & it was very nice. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, & prepared. The atmosphere of the place was also warm & inviting. I really enjoyed the layout & the view we had (Seated close to the window but not a ground window seat..we could see the water uninterrupted)
& last but never least , the food. The food was awesome & I go to qlot of restaurants so impressing is tough) the food was very fresh & flavored well. The menu was great,
I hadn't been here in awhile and things have improved significantly since my last visit. Finally upgraded carpet and paint, along with tables and chairs.
Most importantly the menu and quality of the food is much better than a few years ago.
Hope they keep up the good work!
Haven’t been here in years but have never been disappointed. Boatloads of seafood and always pure and fresh.
We were extremely pleased with the way our hostess treated us and the excellent service of our waiter! The views of the river were only paled by the rain.
We will definitely return!
Dinner was good. My wife's steak was over cooked but they corrected it.
We had a great seat by the window, the staff was friendly and attentive.
Over all a great dinning experience and we will go back again.
Had high expectations for this restaurant but was disappointed. After making reservation and being seated promptly waited 35 minutes for a waiter to appear. He took out drink and appetizer order. Waited 20 minutes for appetizer which was the calamari. Soggy and cold. Another 15 minutes before he brought the wine glasses. He said that they had run out of glasses. Another 15 minutes for him to show up with the wine bottle. Said the bar was busy. When we finally received the main course (Mahi and scallops) it was very bland, not hot and overall terrible. Service was very poor, food was not worth the wait.
My wife and I had reservations, and were seated very quickly even with prom going on. Our table was next to the window which had a beautiful view. Our server Devon did not give us a run down of the menu but we did listen in to the table next to us hear the specials. We ordered our drinks, the crab cake app, as well as a lobster bisque and ceasar salad. He then asked us if we would be sharing which we thought was weird...then asked if we wanted him to take our menus, we said no as we would be ordering dinner as well. I fell like we were being judged off rip. The appetizers were good. Dinner was good as well, I ordered the ny strip and my wife ordered snapper hemmingway. All in all good food, but i do feel our server didnt take proper care.
Great happy hour specials and ambience
Excellent overall experience. My husband really enjoyed his birthday dinner
Everything about this restaurant was superb. Friendly and efficient service, tasty drinks, and perfectly prepared entrees were enjoyed in a lovely and unique building. We will definitely return.
We are new to the area so my family and i chose Chart House look good and it was something new to us . Our waiter lewis was nice but he didn’t come back to the table for 15 mins so we asked someone else but when we asked she seem to have an nasty attitude saying he was coming but didn’t know who we was talking about . Lewis finally arrive once again nice guy he asked the same lady what was the price for crab legs and she said 69 with a nasty attitude again like she didn’t want to tell us or talk to us so we left because we didn’t fell welcome .
My servers, Vance and Dusty, were very good!! I would certainly go again!!
