The restaurant was not crowded that evening. We ordered our entree after we had some appetizers and 20 minutes later we were informed that they were out of one entree that two of us ordered. 20 Minutes. Really?? Then after selecting another entree it was another 30 minutes or longer before our main course came out, but after asking the waiter what was the hold up. Very poor attention to our table and very disappointing.
Delicious food, amazing view of the river and downtown, wonderful service. Loved it!!!
We were only there for the view. The food isn't all that great.
The food and service were excellent. The view of the river were good
We enjoyed the Chart House very much. The food and service were great.
Kelly was amazing! The drink presentation was awesome. The food was great and the ambiance was simply breathtaking.
The food was over cooked and too pricey for the quality.
My family used to go to the Chart House in Hilton Head for years. My dad and I were nostalgic over Father’s Day weekend and decided to give the Jacksonville location a try, since we have relocated here. It was fantastic! Bert was an attentive and well-informed server. My lobster tail and Dad’s prime rib were delicious. The wine sampler was amazing, and the lava cake was the best I’ve ever had. We will return!
We had not been to Chart House in many years and we now wonder why. The food, service, and ambiance were all outstanding. I had a wonderful grilled grouper dish on rice and did not leave a bite. Server and general manager were very attentive.
The table of 10 next to us received excellent service. Our server seemed to be overwhelmed when they sat us and took a long time for her to notice us. Then she forgot to bring my husbands second glass of wine.
So want to like this restaurant but aside from the waterfront location and unique interior it fell short in every other area. Food was very average and the service was soooo slow it really ruined our night.
I haven't dined at a Charthouse for over 10 years, though I haven't dined at this location before. The food is not what it used to be. Husband had shrimp and grits and it was not that tasty, the grit cake and the sauce. I had lobster and it was fine, along with the lobster bisque. The mudpie was bland; it used to be a great tasting desert.
Prior to symphony
This is a go to place for Prime Rib. I like it rare and it was rare, juicy, tender and seasoned just right. May be the best Prime Rib I have ever had. Of course the Salad bar is always a special treat.
Just for the view. Food was mediocre. Staff was ok. For the money id ho to Rith Chris or River City Brewing Co. Ifvwant to dine on the river.
This was not a good dining experience I don't know if they have a different purchaser but the food quality was not very good it wasn't just who cooked it the salad bar could have been a lot fresher the waiter was wonderful I would not recommend this restaurant
Wonderful dining experience. My husband and I were traveling and chose to dine here. Excellent choice.
My wife and I was very pleased with everything Chart House did to make our Anniversary Dinner a wonderful and sensational experience. I had requested our name on a personalized menu and they were happy to oblige me. You should see the twinkle and the surprise on my wife’s face when she saw the menu. Our view of the south side Riverwalk and the North shore of the the river, was spectacular. To top it off we were in the perfect spot to see the fireworks show which took place on the North Shore. It was a totally awesome night!
The Chart House has become our new favorite date night restaurant. The architecture is beautiful, the view is gorgeous, the food is incredible (and they list the calorie count!), and the staff and service are exemplary. We live at the beach and have been making tree drive for this forgotten gem.
Great birthday celebration! We got a great table and had custom menus for the occasion!
Our first visit to this location was very good. I think they were just having an off night. Service was very slow. We all but gave up on getting our food. Ambiance is very nice overlooking the river.
Our server was delightful and knowledgeable
The restaurant was not busy but service was very slow
Lobster was second to none
Awesome views but food was not great for the value
Granddaughter’s third birthday- everyone made her feel so special! Wonderful experience!
Excellent service! Great drinks. We had to wait a while for the food, but it was worth the wait! Both the grouper and the filet were cooked exactly as we asked. Our waitress, Kierstan was amazing!
Friendly helpful server, great salad bar, unique dining room and friendly valet
Excellent food and service
Was there on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was not very busy. We got a table overlooking the river and the food was excellent. Our server and the manager were attentive. Will be back again soon.
Beautiful restaurant on the water with a view of the river. From the host, to Chris our waiter and everyone that helped Chris, they were so friendly, professional and personable. This was our first visit but it’s going to be a place we visit often. Our food was delicious, cooked perfectly and served promptly. The drinks were well poured and awesome. They really make you feel welcomed from the second you walk in the door.
The food the server the Ambiance the view the whole restaurant was awesome it was a beautiful experience and I would highly recommend to eat there and I will definitely be back.
We arrived ahead of our reservation and sat near the bar. The bartender said she would take our order but never came over. We waved our hands and she saw us but still never came. We stopped a waitress from another area and she kindly took our order. We were seated for dinner and our great waiter was super. The food was magnificent and we had a lovely time. First time and when we return to Jacksonville we will certainly be there!! My sister who resides in Jacksonville will spread the word and will be a repeat customer!!
Wash the windows. We over 2 hrs dinning. Totally gave up on our next engagement for the evening. What do grits cost? Our shrimp dish had, mayde a table spoon of grits. The grouper plate looked like a childs plate. I enjoy tge one in Daytona. I will not be returning with upscale client's.
Awful food, completely overpriced. If your seeking Applebee's quality at $40 a plate than this place is for you.
Food was substandard. Venue really nice, service good, but food was poor. Mahi over cooked, Mac and cheese bland. Priced way higher than quality
even though our server forgot to bring us a side dish until I mentioned it, the total experience was marvelous. food was prepared to perfection. as a long-time woodworker I was fascinated by all the wood features throughout. simply beautiful. well done to the designers and craftsmen. we will be back.
We went on a Thursday nite restaurant was nearly empty
Felt like we were up charged for everything
Food was just ok .Our server was nice
Our bad we had the salad bar did not ask the added price
Ate what would have been a salad that came with ur
Dinner $10. Each
We were in Miami all week, and eat at Joe’s. This not so lovely
Nite was Way Way more expensive
Somewhat disappointed. The staff seemed indifferent toward us. Our waitress was not knowledgeable about the menu. She had to go to the kitchen to get the answers to simple questions.
When leaving we noticed they had put a tablecloth over the salad bar which means they were saving it for tomorrow. Nothing is fresh. Our fish, which was the special, I could tell it had been frozen. It was not flakey like grouper is normally. The fish was mushy.
A bit overpriced for what you get.
Delicious meal and outstanding views of the city! Loved eating and being entertained by the dolphins swimming up stream!
Salad "Farm Bar" was empty. Brought this to my servers attention but to no avail.
Celebrated our 30th Anniversary and no complimentary item was provided.
Was an old favorite but they are no comparison to the comparable establishments.
We had a 645 reservation for mother’s day. We were seated on time. The restaurant was busier than normal fo “chart house” I would say 75% of tables were full. They were already out of prime rib. We were totally ok with that because you can’t predict perfectly. What upset us was that from when we sat down to when we got our entree it was just over 2 hours!!! They al came out sporadically and some stuff was hot and some was cold. Once they delivered our dessert for the table to share it was 9:30. The kitchen clearly was not on the same page and this restaurant was not prepared.
