We are here on a Sunday night. Service, food, and ambiance were great but they were out of oysters, king crab and king salmon. We were hoping to order 2 of the 3.
We chose The Chart House to celebrate our daughter's college graduation. The food, service and views all added to the joy of the occasion.
Not happy. Not happy at all. We drove half an hour to make our 7:30 reservation in anticipation of their signature prime rib dinner only to be told by the manager, after ordering beverages and our meal, that they were out of prime rib. This was at 7:30 on a Friday evening! We left, and took our business elsewhere.
Good foo and service. Has gotten a lot more expensive.
It's great you hace thr Teriyaki Sirloin back onthe menu.
Our server was fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. Service was timely, and not pushing us. I think we were the last to leave.
My wife's King crab legs were mediocre, difficult to extract meat in larger pieces. I can purchase better filet mignon at Costco, although it was grilled as I ordered. Tables were crammed in, only about 6 inches between my chair and next table chair. Salad bar was good, service was good.
The food was very good. They were very busy so service was a little hit and miss. We ordered a side dish of sautéed mushrooms and they never arrived. The waitress was apologetic and removed them from the bill.
Overall an unhurried dinner, even with several large parties celebrating Mother’s Day.
My wife and I have been dining at the Chart house since it opened. We eat there and we also take customers and vendors there for fine dining. Exceptional management, staff, food. and consistency.
Happy hours are always great but Holiday dinners are a waste of money. Prices are high (our kids were trying to figure out the price for each bite of their steak) salad bar was already devastated after first 1/2 hour with no server attending to it and not included in the dinner.
Our server Samantha was very attentive but it was obvious the kitchen was stressed
Lovely brunch with excellent service and terrific food, thank you so much, we will be back!!!
We had an excellent waiter and the food and the beverage were excellent.
Food was very expensive. I had the halibut and my wife had the mahi and both were very small portions and over cooked. The table for 4 was really a table for 2 so we were very cramped. Service was fine and they were trying but our server was young and inexperienced. I won’t be going back anytime soon.
Awesome views and wonderful modernization-renovation of the restaurant just completed. ENTIRE staff was superbly trained and professional in their roles.
Service was less than stellar this time. We were a little disappointed.
Three of four entrees as requested, fourth was dry, great service! Server remembered us by name. Not rushed, a truly relaxed and happy experience. Some adjacent patrons a little loud, but nothing to get us in a twist.
We have been coming here for decades.
Best food/service experience I’ve had in a long time. Jake was exceptional and made it special for our entire family. He made a natural, genuine effort to interact with our special-needs daughter and she loved it. He is now the standard by which I compare all waiters/servers to...
Great spot for dinner if you're not in a hurry. Food, service and location is excellent. We always have a time experience. Fun happy hour as well.
Brandon is a great server and a lot of fun. Monday was very quiet so we had a chance to visit. As usual, the food was great.
Our wait person was extremely good and formal but still friendly...perfect.
We made a reservation but realized the seat with the valley view would not allow us to order from the Happy Hour menu so we chose to move into the lounge. This was easy to do and comfortable, if slightly less fancy.
One request: please specify on your menu that the Caesar salad contains grilled romaine lettuce, not the usual raw variety. I would have skipped it if I'd realized (not a fan of cooked lettuce). Thanks.
Delicious cocktails! Thank you for the creme brulee "sampler" with only espresso, for my birthday! Also the music was good and a favorite song I've never heard in public (outside of a swing dance) was a special bonus.
Was Ok - but too much money for the quality
I used to frequent your establishment often. We attended Easter dinner expecting excellent food and good customer service. Instead our food was delayed 17 mins due to the server placing our order late, the bathrooms were disgusting. The restaurant overall looked messy and disorganized. I expect more especially when paying $40 for a steak. I would have rather spent the money at Elways.
First time at the Chart House. Really enjoyed it and will come back in the future.
On Easter we had 2 reservations, one for 10 and the other table for 8 in the bar area. The 10 top was my responsible, 2 of our meals lets say had some difficulty. The 7oz Filet was over cooked and came out last. I had ordered red in the middle and it came out cooked threw! Sent it back and by the time my dinner returned 2 in our party were finished with there meals. My mother in-law ordered the Mahi-Mahi and it was dry and look warm, she chose not eat her dish and make a seen. She did mention it to the server and they did apologies and offer to make another but she chose to not to for a multitude of reasons. For the past 3 years we have enjoyed Easter and other occasions at the Chart House we hope you can address these issues for your sake. Our parties truly come from fare away, Grand Lake and Superior and when your staff doesn't offer to remove the cost of at least one of the dishes to compensate for your kitchens mistakes I feel professionalism is lacking. We wish you better success.
Ad always Chart House is excellent. Alana offered great service and the salad bar is unrivaled. Prime Rib was perfect.
Food quality and preparation did not match the price.
Aside from the noise of so many diners at one time, it was a delightful meal, well served, and a pleasant afternoon. Our waiter, Sean, was excellent and attentive. The escargot and mushroom appetizer was wonderful. My personal slice of prime rib was a bit fatty, but I know that happens occasionally. The staff was responsive to all our needs and we enjoyed our visit.
Food was excellent and friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Food & service were excellent! Didn't ask if we had to order from the menu, since it was Easter. More of a buffet is always nice. That's why we normally go to Simm's on Easter, but wanted to go to the Chart House this year
Drove in from Parker as my boys had enjoyed immensely the meal a year ago May. Got sluffed off to the back of the room. No view which is one reason we drove so fat for Easter. Filets were over cooked and we specified medium rare. Compensation was dessert which we didn’t want. Extremely disappointed for the amount of money I had saved to take my boys there. Could have gone to The Texas Road House and had a much better filet for more than half the price. Surprised and very disappointed in the quality of food for the amount of money I spent in the back room and a 60 minute drive round trip. Waste of time and money spoiling our Easter Sunday.
We have been to the Chart House many times but this was our first Sunday Brunch. We were disappointed to see that it was only the dinner menu. A party of 8 next to us left after drinks for this reason. Our food was not up to its usual standards. The shrimp were tough and the clam chowder was bland. Our waitress was on auto pilot and could not adjust to the time of day. She kept saying "this evening." Perhaps they should stick to serving dinner.
Excellent all the way around. Food was delicious and our wait staff was amazing as well. Highly recommend!
Love the Chart House! A great place for a special occasion or just a casual meal. Steaks and salad bar are our favorites!
Took my mom there for her birthday
Food was great. Tried to have that new purple martini and they didn't have dry ice, thinking the guy made it wrong...$17 for a lack luster experience martini should have never happened. Was my husband's birthday and no mention of a happy birthday or anything. Additionally, they didn't even give me points for checking in for dinner. Get it together people, we live 5 mins away!
The food here is very good, and consistently so. The wait staff are always delightful to interact with. But a few things to keep in mind: Don't be in a hurry. Our last visit was two hours (7-9pm), arrival to departure, for a simple meal (one appetizer, two entrées, two sides; no alcoholic beverages, no coffee, no desert), and not because we were deep in conversation or wanted to linger awhile. The main dining area was minimally occupied throughout that time. As for background music: if you would like quiet, relaxing music that is truly in the background, you won't find it here. If you like the music to be as much of a presence during your meal as anyone else at your table, then you will enjoy this ambiance. Mostly energetic 60s and 70s rock/rock 'n roll with a little bit of jazz (would have liked more!) from the same era when we were there; don't know if that is the norm, though. All too loud for me, but I have very sensitive hearing.
50th wedding Anniversary! Everything was great
Great service, great food and great company!
We really want to like Chart House for location and quiet ambiance, but after three lackluster dinners we're throwing in the towel.
Salad bar... The cafeteria at work has a better selection of toppings which are not wilting or dried out. Seafood... The lobster tail was tasty but tough. The king crab wasn't split in the kitchen and difficult to crack with the supplied nut cracker. Sides.. The asparagus was tough and woody. Steak... The prime rib was decent but not melt in the mouth good.
The service was adequate but multiple requests for a drinking straw were quickly forgot and I had to go looking for one. I don't remember the waiter asking how the food was either... Though I'm relieved he didn't because it was late and I didn't want to deal with it.
