Chart House Restaurant - Golden Ratings and Reviews
We were there for my Birthday dinner and everything was as I remembered from many years ago. Even the Hearts of Palm at the salad bar! I had a fabulous Chocolate and Bourbon made by Travis at the bar and the waitress, Brittany was attentive and did note it was my birthday but when it came to my 'free' dessert for my birthday I asked several times 'do I get to choose' as we were taking it to go. We live in Brighton! Anyway she said 'yes' but low and behold she brought me Mud Pie already to go including a birthday candle. Well you can guess it was melted by the time we got home. IF that is the 'standard' free birthday dessert I would have gladly paid for an upgrade to choose something to make the trip home. The event was ended on a down note to say the least as I saved up all my calories for the day to have that fabulous drink and dessert.
Server was spread thin. It took her a while to do everything. Asparagus in the short ribs was very tough. I love this dish but was disappointed this time. We love this restaurant but was surprised this time even if it was a Tuesday night. It is the Chart House after all. We were there for our 25th anniversary.
We have dined here on and off for quite some time. We brought a family who had never been to the Chart House before. We had a great time together, Brandon, our server, was wonderful as he has been in the past. Unfortunately, my steak came too well done to eat and I had to send it back but the lobster was fantastic. The food is pricey but the overall experience was a memorable one to be sure. Good times, good friends, good food (great view.)
We were greeted by a cheerful young lady and shown to a window table with an outstanding evening view of the city lights. Billy, our waitstaff person, was always available and most helpful in his dining suggestions. My prime rib was cooked just I requested and my wife's salmon was pink in the middle as she likes it.
It was a wonderful experience for both of us and will long be remember as one of our special occasions.
Was there 20 yrs ago on buisness, first time I had clam chowder, loved it ever since, took wife while visiting, lobster bisque was fabulous, her ceaser salad and salmon was excellent she said, although my med/well fillet mignon was medium at best, didn't send back, wanted to eat together,it is a seafood restaurant,I'd stick to that. Waitress Theresa was wonderful, they seated us in a cozy booth, nice view overlooking Denver. Nice evening overall.
Food was good. However the “specially” prepared lava cake was brought out with the ice cream melted. Presentation of this item was unservable in our opinion. Our server was very good, however, her constantly trying to upsell our meal was extremely annoying and turned us off. Salad bar was excellent. Restaurant needs to have signs better lit into the parking lot. Parking lot was too dark. I’d still go back again but above items were extremely disappointing.
Our Thanksgiving dinner at the Chart House was delightful. The staff, especially our waiter, was upbeat and friendly. The wine selection is extensive; they plan to expand their beer selection soon. We had the traditional Thanksgiving dinner and were not disappointed: the turkey was tender, the stuffing flavorful and moist, the creamed spinach savory, and the sweet potato buttery. The ambiance was perfect, not too loud or quiet, and we were near a lively fire. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. The only disappointment for me was the dessert: the Thanksgiving plate came with a choice of pumpkin or pecan pie. I chose the pecan pie, and it tasted like something from a box: a thick layer of sweet, bland goo, with a thin layer of pecan on top, and an unremarkable crust. However, my companions shared the chocolate lava cake, and it looked fantastic. I would try a "house" dessert next time.
Spent Thanksgiving there and the food was excellent with big portions. I brought home half for leftovers the next day. The only issue I had was the waitress or the cooks got the gluten free options mixed up in addition to a couple other minor things. Otherwise it was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.
This was a special occasion for our friends. It was their 48th Wedding Anniversary. The anniversary couple enjoyed themselves. They received a Landry Card. My lady friend and I are always impressed with the Lobster Bisque Soup. There are not to many places in the Denver Metro that Serve it.
Love the chart house but very disappointed this time. Food came out barely warm. A medium steak was hot pink. Salad bar wasn’t as good as other times. Not sure why. Noodle salad on the salad bar had no flavor, as an example.
The service was excellent, and as we were celebrating a birthday we were given a special menu wishes our birthday girl a happy birthday. For the price there are so many other great restaurant.
We arrived 30 minutes prior to our reservation time but were seated promptly at a table with a great view of the mountains out to the plains.
The wait staff was prompt and courteous and not pushy. Food was Excellent, steak and lobster. Delicious.
Terrific experience, will be going back soon.
My wife and I enjoyed a great meal to celebrate my birthday. I had prime rib which was excellent and cooked to my requested temperature, while my wife had King Salmon, which was outstanding. We both ordered sides (asparagus and mushrooms) and the portions more than ample. We could easily have shared one. We started with a half-dozen oysters, which were very fresh and well-chilled, and finished with the chocolate volcano cake which was amazing. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive and knowledgeable about the menu. While it is not cheap, we did feel that it was good value given the quality. We also enjoyed the views from the window tables, even though it was a foggy, snowy, night. Pro tip: request a window table when you make a reservation.
Food was uncharacteristically poor. I ordered the paneed chicken and it was undercooked, mushy and greasy, rather than crispy. My adult grandson ordered the sea bass, and 20 minutes later was informed they were out of the sea bass (at only 6:30 pm). He was very disappointed, as he had been looking forward to it all day. The dinner was a special thank you dinner for him, for help he gave us with a move, so it was particularly disappointing that he could not order what he wanted. The chocolate lava cake was also much smaller than it used to be. The waiter was really excellent and very friendly, and the view and ambiance were stunning, as always.
Restaurant was almost packed on a Monday night and I could still hear my wife talking! Love the ambience and layout. Service from Teresa and team was great as she checked on us frequently while my wife and I chatted it up. Started with the Kim Chee Calamari followed by New England Clam Chowder soup, Caesar salad, ice cream flight mixed on site(I think it was a special), glass of red wine (Malbec) and an after dinner Tawny Port. Called it a night, belly full without a main dish. We did not feel rushed which was appreciated. Next time looking forward to a main dish. They must be doing something right.
Love the Food and Service here, Everything is Top Notch!! Always a great experience at The Chart House we try to go a few times a year. Incredible food, I had an amazing Steak last time that was cooked to perfection! I love the Clam Chowder here too!! Good Wine list and fantastic deserts as well!
