Dave gave us amazing service. Couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. We will be returning.
Food was good. Service was good. It’s a nice casual place.
My husband had the oysters Rockefeller and said they were fantastic. We shared the shrimp, crab, avocado mango stack, so delicious. The mango sticky rice was delicious as well. My husband had the asparagus and said it was really really good.
My salmon was good and his steak was good too.
The only negative I have is that we weren’t told about the specials. We weren’t told about the lava cake that had to be ordered a head of time due to it taking 30 mins to bake until we were given the dessert menu.
Should not schedule reservations for 9 pm if the staff does not want to be there!!!
Usually we LOVE it there, but we were a little disappointed this time. We ordered clams casino... out of forks. Granddaughter order king crab.. out of crab. Stuffed shrimp for my husband and I ... shrimp really tiny. I think they were supposed to be larger... and they were over cooked, really hard.
We went for a belated Valentine's dinner. We were really looking forward to a special meal. My wife ordered the waiter's favorite - scallops and shrimp. The food was cold when it arrived and had to be sent back to the kitchen. I ordered the prime rib which was very average. Something I could have had at a much lesser restaurant. My wife's food was good when it returned but by then I was more than halfway done with my meal. Not very romantic watching your partner eat while you wait. Nothing was done to compensate us for a below average meal/experience.
Three days earlier we had a much better meal at Ock even though they undercooked my ribeye and had to take it back because the manager said it was not cooked correctly. At least they took the meal off the bill.
Unfortunately, the Chart House was a big disappointment to us.
Seat was great by a window. Service was terribly slow and way beyond "relax and enjoy your evening". Waiter not experienced or capable. Brought me the wrong wine, a red, after I had ordered a white he had recommended! My food was undercooked even though we waited and waited for it. I ended up having to eat after my spouse was done. I never send back my food for just this reason but it was inedible. We finally got to order dessert and after waiting too long once again the waiter brought just my spouse's and said they were out of what I had ordered. Then asked if I would like something else? How could all this happen at such an established restaurant? It is just too well known and expensive a restaurant to be such a failure of an evening. One nice night we finally get to go out and we wish we hadn't gone to The Chart House.
Very good food - delicious salad bar. Also, had an amazing caramel, macadamia nut cheesecake for dessert!
The food was great! The service was a little slow and the waiter did not bring us the bread and fill the glasses of water like we asked him on any type of timely manner. The overall experience was good however since the food is very good.
The service was fantastic. The filet was amazing. The staff was awesome. We had the perfect table with a nice view thanks to the host. The only miss was the soup The lobster bisque was cold and not to my liking.
Valentine’s Day , everything at the restaurant was lovely .
We had not been to the Chart House for a couple of years. Not because we had a bad experience before but more of we did not think about going there. We had a wonderful evening the food was terrific and the service was very good. Was a very busy night so did not expect perfect service but was attentive none the less. Somewhat pricey but worth it. Will hopefully remember to come back soon.
Our server hardly came by to see if we needed anything so she missed out on a larger overall tip.She ignored us once food was served we sat 20 min and could not get another drink so we didn’t bother with dessert either.
My husband asked for a medium rare steak he got a medium well,it was dry being Valentines Day to wait in another steak would have been time consuming but we weren’t even offered a discount of any kind for the trouble and we only come up a couple times a year so it was disappointing.
Hate to do this. Just moved back to the Genesee area and we like fine dining. We were seated quickly. Took a while for someone to offer drinks, Continually had to ask for water. Took them 30 minutes to remove the extra place setting. Wife was not provided a knife, so we grabbed one prior to taking it away. Server asked if we wanted bread. Yes. I ordered salad bar, which was new for me & my wife a salad. Bread never came and server didn't inform me I would have to get my own plate for salad. It wasn't obvious. They were not stacked. I told her it would have been nice to know this. I asked for the bread again. She said it was being cooked, all while we watched other tables being served bread. I ordered steak, medium and it came back pretty damn well done. My wife had to ask for the sauce that was to come with her dinner. Steak knife was not delivered for steak. That was fixed, still no bread. The wife had a horrible Manhattan and she laughed, having spent her youth as a bartender. It was not made with bourbon, but straight up Crown, with color. We never got asked if we wanted another drink, or providing a wine for dinner. It became funny after a while as we checked everything off. I even stopped her to ask how was the bread coming after we sat for an hour. She said, "I'm sorry thats my fault." and she never brought it after that. Just fantastic. She did ask if we wanted some dessert, which by that time we were ready to leave. We wanted a quiet dinner night together and we ended up discussing the poor service. We did tell the Manager and he said it was her first night and she only had two tables. I felt bad then, but really, why leave someone unsupervised on her first night. The steak being extremely overcooked and the drink, were not her fault. But overall for a $125+ dinner for two, it won't be my first choice. We were used to table 6 downtown, so we might have to suck it up and take the drive to Denver from now on.
The food was very good. The service was good up to the end then it went all to hell. We waited for 20 minutes or more for the waiter to ask how were things & if we wanted desert. Then another 5 minutes or more waiting for the check. I will return. It wasn't so bad that I'm not coming back but it sure was a damper on what otherwise could have been a good night out.
Awful. I requested a window table when making the reservation, got the 3rd row. I ordered a steak medium well, it came out solid red which appeared to be medium. The server noticed and immediately took it to be further cooked. Which was great, except the steak didn’t come back out for 15-20 minutes, once my date had already finished her entree, since it would have gotten cold. When my steak finally came back out, i decided it was no longer needed since it took so long. I currently work at an upper class steakhouse in Denver and any manager would happily greet and speak with that table upon this situation. However, no management or for this instance, no one offered to make this situation right. The customer service was awful. When the bill came out, the server said that the steak was removed, I sure hope so given that I never ate it and sent it back to the kitchen. I understand that mistakes occur, but the customer service should have been much improved. Awful experience.
