Steak was overdone - no offer to replace. Couldn’t finish it, so was given the wine at no cost. Steak was 36.50 - wine was 14. Won’t go back.
Food and presentation was delicious and the service was great. However, the table that we were seated at, although we had a great view was a bit cramped. Whenever the waiter at the table next to us came by to serve them, he moved our extra chair out of the way. 70% of the time when he did so, he rammed the chair into my husband's legs.
We love having dinner with friends and family at the Chart House. The view of Denver is "one of a kind" and the food is delicious.
Our server, Billy, was very engaging. The NY steak and chicken dishes were excellent. The Ahi tuna was good. The Molten Lava cake was wonderfuld
We had the whole fireplace dining area to ourselves for most of our evening (Monday evening). The fireplace was warm, the lights were turned down, the music, food and wine were great. It was so perfect that my BF, my high school sweetheart, asked me to marry him! A very memorable night....and a dream come true! 💘
Our reservation was for 5pm and we arrived a few minutes after 5. We had small children with us and that is the reason for booking early. It was restaurant week however none of us ordered off that menu. We ordered clam chowders which had way too much flour in it. It was very thick and not very tasty. We also ordered stuffed mushrooms which were just OK. We waited 1 hour and 35 minutes for our dinner to be served . We were just getting ready to leave at 645pm when they delivered our COLD DRY food. I could barely cut through the stuffed shrimp since it was so dry. The prime rib and salmon were cold in addition to the sides. I would never go there again. What a disappointment for our special occasion. We wanted to order the lava cake but it would have arrived after the children's bedtime.
Sean was the server and it was very bad. I recognize that the restaurant was busy but no excuse for bad service from start to finish!!
Dined at the Chart House during restaurant week. 3 out of the 4 of us at the table ordered the Coconut Shrimp (delicious), Prime Rib (very good), Mud Pie and added a Salad - seriously did not need the salad there was more than enough food! The food was very good, and our service was excellent. Even the bar tender went above and beyond and made Grapefruit/Basil Martini's that were not on menu but oh, so delicious. Only Disappointment: I had booked reservations several weeks in advance and asked for room with city view. Called prior to reservation to confirm, when we got there I was told that everyone wants this room and they could not accommodate our group at this time. I could wait, but staff did not know how long it would be before we were seated.
This restaurant was amazing. I wish I would have known to request the window side so we could have enjoyed the amazing views of the valley. We sat in the fireside room and it was so romantic and cozy. The food was very good as well.
We had a 7:30 reservation for 10, including 6 kids. Our table was not ready at this time so we agreed to wait. An hour and a half later said table still was occupied. We suggested they look at other options, and ended up in the bar area. Bubthis time kids were starving, no one had ever offered to grab a drink or appetizer while waiting or offered an apology. Simple things like an acknowledgement of our time would have been nice. Food arrived cold and restaurant was closing and anxious to do so by the time we left.
It was a nice Mountain setting and cozy the service was good.
Was disappointed sat us in a crow of standing people. When they finally left everything was fine
The leftover happy hour bar crowd was in the dining area, loud and did not make for good atmosphere
Dave provided amazing customer service as always. We enjoy having him as our server every time we dine at Chart House.
We drove up from Denver for restaurant week very excited for a date night. The menu had a decent selection. I chose the poke, prime rib, creme brule and added on a chopped salad. The poke came in a strange Chinese box that did not fit the class of the restaurant. It tasted okay for poke but had small pieces pieces of chopped fish. The prime rib was cooked perfect. Unfortunately it came with a terrible mixed horseradish mixed with cream cheese. I was really excited for creme brule but it came with frozen raspberries. The flambe on the top was soft and cold like it had been made ahead of time. As far as the restaurant itself, there are great views from any seat in the restaurant as long as you don't mind the lights from 170. The moon was perfect from our seat and you can see it beyond the poke picture. I enjoyed being out of the city for dinner and loved the ambience but the service was not the greatest. I'd have a hard time going back.
Went here for Restaurant Week. Fantastic food and service. A great way to try a new place!
Great start on service. Then 30 minutes between appetizers/ salad and dinner. No updates during time then desert menus left on table for another 10 minutes and then 15 minutes after that to get check. Far too slow in my mind.
Wonderful service. The food is good, but not exemplary. I like the salad bar, but it could be updated a bit. I had a nice piece of meat, but it was cold. Those mashed potatoes, though, are inedible. I enjoy the view and take my guests there for a nice Colorado experience. A culinary thrill, however, it is not.
Delicious, unique options for Restaurant week; don't forget to order Mud Pie!
Love this restaurant!! The food was wonderful and the staff made sure we never had to wait for anything. Perfect date night!!
Beyond disappointed. Our service was awful and the prime rib was even worse.
We loved Chart House for many years but will never return.
Our experience was so bad that we cancelled our remaining reservations for restaurant week.
Don't bother letting the manager know, he simply says"thank you for telling me" and hands you the bill without any adjustments for 3 meals that were inedible.
It was a bad enough experience that I sent the restaurant an email directly ... never received a response.
Such a shame.
We've been to this establishment several times over the years and been very satisfied with the food and service. This visit coincided with Restaurant Week so dining cost $45 a piece + beverages. The appetizers were average... Dinner was okay w/prime rib served rare rather than ordered, medium rare. Drinks were a bit pricey for the size. My wife's dirty martini wasn't dirty and had to send back. Martini glass was about 1/2 full so don't know if it was spilled or made that way. The 2nd one was served normally. The wait staff were attentive w/above avg service.
The real attraction of this place is the view...
Still recommend but maybe not for restaurant week. You might prefer the regular menu and select your own appetizers.
The hostess was not very organized or she had a problem with keeping track of reservations and orderly seating. We got there 15 minutes early, and sat there for 30 minutes. I saw 6 other parties seated before us that walked in after us, which all 6 couldn’t have had earlier reservations and all 6 just came late. I asked the manager if there was a issue with their reservation scheduling, sat us soon after and I saw 4 other empty tables in our seating section. We’re hispanic and that’s not very common in Genesee, we were the only 2 in the place that evening. This me feel like we weren’t quit welcomed here so because of this issue and spending $150 for dinner for 2 people we won’t be returning in the near future.
Food was great, but... The waitress took 20 minutes to arrive to our table and bring water and 15 more after that for our drinks. She was unaware of the restaurant week menu and I had to show it to her so we could place our order. Didn’t bring bread till our main food came out and then took it away while we were still eating, with half the bread still remaining. When our drinks were gone she took our glasses and didn’t ask if we wanted another. Waitress next to us was awesome so I assume this isn’t the norm and made her poor service all that more obvious. For the money I will go elsewhere.
The service and food were poor ordered Prime Rib medium rare received a very rare piece. Our waiter Jake told us we should have sent it back for what I am paying for a meal I should not have to send it back. Ordered asparagus never even received them. Ordered coffee to go with my dessert, I received lukewarm coffee. Waited forever to get the check. I will never go back to the Chart House what a disappointment as I have in the past had good meals there.
Went there on restaurant week, service sucked and I’ve had better prime rib at Texas Roadhouse. Will not go again.
We were not impressed with our prime rib. It took forever to get our meal, and when we got it we were soooooo disappointed.
We went with another couple to celebrate a birthday and catch up. I had never been there before but the others had. What an enjoyable place. The food and service were wonderful. I would highly recommend The Chart House to all my friends.
Food and service was a bit underwhelming compared to previous experiences.
Dave gave us amazing service. Couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. We will be returning.
Food was good. Service was good. It’s a nice casual place.
My husband had the oysters Rockefeller and said they were fantastic. We shared the shrimp, crab, avocado mango stack, so delicious. The mango sticky rice was delicious as well. My husband had the asparagus and said it was really really good.
My salmon was good and his steak was good too.
The only negative I have is that we weren’t told about the specials. We weren’t told about the lava cake that had to be ordered a head of time due to it taking 30 mins to bake until we were given the dessert menu.
Should not schedule reservations for 9 pm if the staff does not want to be there!!!
Usually we LOVE it there, but we were a little disappointed this time. We ordered clams casino... out of forks. Granddaughter order king crab.. out of crab. Stuffed shrimp for my husband and I ... shrimp really tiny. I think they were supposed to be larger... and they were over cooked, really hard.
We went for a belated Valentine's dinner. We were really looking forward to a special meal. My wife ordered the waiter's favorite - scallops and shrimp. The food was cold when it arrived and had to be sent back to the kitchen. I ordered the prime rib which was very average. Something I could have had at a much lesser restaurant. My wife's food was good when it returned but by then I was more than halfway done with my meal. Not very romantic watching your partner eat while you wait. Nothing was done to compensate us for a below average meal/experience.
Three days earlier we had a much better meal at Ock even though they undercooked my ribeye and had to take it back because the manager said it was not cooked correctly. At least they took the meal off the bill.
Unfortunately, the Chart House was a big disappointment to us.
Seat was great by a window. Service was terribly slow and way beyond "relax and enjoy your evening". Waiter not experienced or capable. Brought me the wrong wine, a red, after I had ordered a white he had recommended! My food was undercooked even though we waited and waited for it. I ended up having to eat after my spouse was done. I never send back my food for just this reason but it was inedible. We finally got to order dessert and after waiting too long once again the waiter brought just my spouse's and said they were out of what I had ordered. Then asked if I would like something else? How could all this happen at such an established restaurant? It is just too well known and expensive a restaurant to be such a failure of an evening. One nice night we finally get to go out and we wish we hadn't gone to The Chart House.
Very good food - delicious salad bar. Also, had an amazing caramel, macadamia nut cheesecake for dessert!
The food was great! The service was a little slow and the waiter did not bring us the bread and fill the glasses of water like we asked him on any type of timely manner. The overall experience was good however since the food is very good.
The service was fantastic. The filet was amazing. The staff was awesome. We had the perfect table with a nice view thanks to the host. The only miss was the soup The lobster bisque was cold and not to my liking.
Valentine’s Day , everything at the restaurant was lovely .
We had not been to the Chart House for a couple of years. Not because we had a bad experience before but more of we did not think about going there. We had a wonderful evening the food was terrific and the service was very good. Was a very busy night so did not expect perfect service but was attentive none the less. Somewhat pricey but worth it. Will hopefully remember to come back soon.
