Chart House Restaurant - Golden Ratings and Reviews
This was a special occasion for our friends. It was their 48th Wedding Anniversary. The anniversary couple enjoyed themselves. They received a Landry Card. My lady friend and I are always impressed with the Lobster Bisque Soup. There are not to many places in the Denver Metro that Serve it.
We arrived 30 minutes prior to our reservation time but were seated promptly at a table with a great view of the mountains out to the plains.
The wait staff was prompt and courteous and not pushy. Food was Excellent, steak and lobster. Delicious.
Terrific experience, will be going back soon.
My wife and I enjoyed a great meal to celebrate my birthday. I had prime rib which was excellent and cooked to my requested temperature, while my wife had King Salmon, which was outstanding. We both ordered sides (asparagus and mushrooms) and the portions more than ample. We could easily have shared one. We started with a half-dozen oysters, which were very fresh and well-chilled, and finished with the chocolate volcano cake which was amazing. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive and knowledgeable about the menu. While it is not cheap, we did feel that it was good value given the quality. We also enjoyed the views from the window tables, even though it was a foggy, snowy, night. Pro tip: request a window table when you make a reservation.
Food was uncharacteristically poor. I ordered the paneed chicken and it was undercooked, mushy and greasy, rather than crispy. My adult grandson ordered the sea bass, and 20 minutes later was informed they were out of the sea bass (at only 6:30 pm). He was very disappointed, as he had been looking forward to it all day. The dinner was a special thank you dinner for him, for help he gave us with a move, so it was particularly disappointing that he could not order what he wanted. The chocolate lava cake was also much smaller than it used to be. The waiter was really excellent and very friendly, and the view and ambiance were stunning, as always.
Restaurant was almost packed on a Monday night and I could still hear my wife talking! Love the ambience and layout. Service from Teresa and team was great as she checked on us frequently while my wife and I chatted it up. Started with the Kim Chee Calamari followed by New England Clam Chowder soup, Caesar salad, ice cream flight mixed on site(I think it was a special), glass of red wine (Malbec) and an after dinner Tawny Port. Called it a night, belly full without a main dish. We did not feel rushed which was appreciated. Next time looking forward to a main dish. They must be doing something right.
Love the Food and Service here, Everything is Top Notch!! Always a great experience at The Chart House we try to go a few times a year. Incredible food, I had an amazing Steak last time that was cooked to perfection! I love the Clam Chowder here too!! Good Wine list and fantastic deserts as well!
Our group was at Chart House to celebrate a special occasion. The service was unsurpassed. It was a model for all restaurants. We had such an enjoyable time. The food was a mixed bag for our group, however. The specials were outstanding. Two in our group said their beef dishes were fine, but not noteworthy. Our overall experience was wonderful.
The Chart House in Golden is consistently excellent in terms of food, ambience and service; Jason, the GM has done a superb job of building a very effective team in both the kitchen and in the dining/bar rooms. We have had many great experiences at the Chart House and this was no exception.........
We experienced terrible quality of food in almost every aspect. The bread was not fresh nor was the salad. The appetizer was not served hot. The prime rib was the worst I've ever had as it was very tough and difficult to cut. I would never have served that piece of meat to guest since it would have been an insult. The margarita was so weak it was basically a glass of lemonade. The check for the dinner was over $150 before tip so we expected a much better meal. It was a birthday dinner that was a complete disappointment.
We really liked the Kim Chee Calamari. It was quite large and would easily feed 4 people. There were just two of us and we brought a nice amount home. The prime rib was a very nice cut of meat - very tender and tasty. The med rare cooking was perfect. Our server was extremely friendly and warm.
Bad service from arrival to departure. Wine glass dirty, Cocktail took 20 minutes to get delivered. Food was delivered to the wrong patrons. Was double charged for the cocktail on the bill. Very disappointing experience. This Chart House is clearly NOT managed well.
This Chart House has always been one of our go to places, whether its for a special occasion or when we are returning from the mountains after a day of hiking, fishing or an overnight stay. A great place to stop after sitting in I-70 traffic. The food and service are always good. The view is special and the deck at happy hour is wonderful.
Our server was excellent, and all of the service staff were attentive and courteous. The food was good and cooked to order. I think there was room for more creativity and taste-consciousness on the part of the culinary staff, but that might be a franchise-effect.
The Chart House offers a nice ambiance with good service in a pleasant atmosphere. However, it does NOT offer value. My husband and I both agree that the prices are too high for the food. Many of our neighbors who have also dined here tell us they agree with this assessment. The big value is during Happy Hour --- the food's reasonably priced, tho the wine selections are unsophisticated.
