Chart House Restaurant - Golden Nugget - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
We dined here for my birthday and were treated like royalty by Harris, our server. He made excellent suggestions, such as having the crab cake appetizer. It was mostly crab lumps in the crab cake and delicious! We were pleased with our tasty entrees, also, including sea bass for my husband and spicy ahi tuna for me. We also shared the complimentary "birthday" ice cream pie, which was filling. We would not have ordered key lime pie if we had known upfront I would receive a birthday pie. Therefore, we took the key lime pie slice with us and shared it for breakfast the next day - also, delicious. Harris made our visit very special.
The food was delicious, drinks were reasonably priced and made perfectly! Service was attentive. We had a problem with food temperature, another server noticed my boyfriend wasn't eating and inquired if anything was wrong. We were waiting on our server, this server took the plate to correct the problem and made sure it came back satisfactory. This team effort is not found often in dining. The aquarium was amazing! It's my first stop when I'm Vegas again
The food was amazing, as was Paul, our server! Paul even had a few andedotes we found extremely entertaining. Jim, the Morrey Eel was watching while we dined, he seemed pleased as well.
I would return to the Chart House again, and again. This was my second visit to a Chart House, first in Tahoe, I found each to be exceptional in both food and service.
Don’t like to spend time making a selection, place the order for the cold water lobster tail and then have the waitress come back and tell me it is not available due to the decision of the chef. First time I have ever heard that one! (I am over 50 years old)
Wait staff should know what is available BEFORE taking an order.
The food and service were very good, great selection and variety. Everything we had tasted great. The gentleman serving us was very professional and attentive. My only negative was the location of the table. We were seated at a table that was right at the entrance, you almost felt you were not in the actual venue. One of our guests could actually lean back and hit his head on the hostess register. Especially since every table in the dining room was empty for our 4:45pm reservation.
We had a table right in front of the tank which is always fascinating. You can ask for one and enjoy this view as well. I had the beet salad which was enormous therefore just had soup cancelled my entree with no problem whatsoever everyone was totally accommodating
We five had a splendid time. The waiter was phenomenal. He knew what to say, and when to say it. He was very knowledgeable of the menu, the wine, and his craft. This is a seafood house inside the Golden Nugget hotel in Las Vegas. An appetizer, called the Tower, were very cold slices of lobster, King Crab, oysters, and an Ahi tuna. The special that night was a Red snapper, wok-fried, and served vertically on a partial bed of rock salt. The meat was delicate and scrumptious. The chardonnay, by Kress, was a perfect accompaniment. About a C-Note per person, including two bottles of wine.
Oh! And did I tell you that the chef made us two Gran Marnier souffles? Order ahead of time. They were dreamy---a light caramelized crust on top, and fluffy, orange-flavored mousse inside. Not heavy. Real good.
This place is great for entertaining business clients or trying to impress a date. If you go there, your evening will be momentously successful. Make reservations.
My brother had a birthday on the 8th, my twin sister drove from Arizona, my godmother's daughter lives in Vegas and drove to meet us at the Chart house. We had an excellent view of the aquarium, and awesome meal. Our waitress was very attentive and very helpful.
We were able to visit with each other and share fond memories of our families.
My godmother's daughter is 76 years old and has cancer, so I was especially glad that we could dine and visit at the Chart house
We chose this restaurant to celebrate my husbands birthday with family members and it was very relaxing and everyone enjoyed themselves. The atmosphere and ambiance was warm and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was great, an all around good dining experience.
We have celebrated our anniversary here for the past 3 years! The only complaint I have is more gluten free options on the menu! It was a nice gesture to bring out dessert for us but having celiacs disease I couldn’t eat it nor any other options for dessert! The server was well aware of my allergy.
Update, found out some of the guests dining with us had several errors on their bill. My parents Landry credit disappeared even though they had an email showing they had deferred the points. Our other guests had paid the gratuity not knowing it was already added in. I'm all for that on large parties but would be nice to have the server let you know it was on the bill. We always tip larger when they are upfront about it.
