Chart House Restaurant - Golden Nugget - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
Too smoky from adjacent casino, eyes begin to burn in a matter of minutes
Also requested to be seated by aquarium (on open table) I'm thinking the request was completely overlooked because they had plenty of tables available (res was earlier-6 PM) so I'm sure they get more crowded. I should have asked to be moved to a better table with the view but oh well. Over the years I have eaten at the Char House in Maui and Malibu, not sure if either of those are in existence anymore, but this didn't live up to the level of those by a long shot.
Waitress was friendly and service was decent. Food mediocre. Could not recommend
The atmosphere is great, but the food was absolutely horrible. Steak was tough, chicken was rubber and could not be chewed. Wait staff was at our table constantly, was very distracting from having any sort of conversation. Would highly suggest to avoid this restaurant, if not because of the food, the over inflated price of horrible food.
Server was one of the best we had in along while. King Salmon was mushy and oily like Atlantic. Being from the Pacific Northwest I know. I thought the S.Pellgrino water as overpriced at $15 a bottle. Lava cake was great as usual with the after dinner Cappachino. Overall pretty good experience.
I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Our food was a great price and the portion size was perfect! We sat in front of the fish tank and they brought us an informative book to tell us what kind of fish we're swimming around. We ordered the lava cake with peanut butter ice cream for dessert. Everything tasted great. Last, but certainly not least, our server was AMAZING! She was very attentive and made sure everything was going well the entire time we were there. We will definitely eat here again when in Vegas.
Prime rib was tough and overcooked, just got a scoop of mashed potatoes and no vegetables-way overpriced for the quality and quantity of food. Had made a reservation and requested seating next to the aquarium but when we got there they tried to place us in an area near the bar even though there were plenty of tables next to the aquarium. After we pointed out and complained that there were plenty of seats where we requested, the hostess was able to move us. She even told us that it did make any sense how they determined where to seat us. Service was slow, but friendly.
It was difficult to have a conversation at the table as there was a football game going on and it was incredibly noisy!! Our service was great and so was the food and drinks. Presentation of the food also lovely. I would think that for the price of food on this menu the ambiance would be much more sedate. It felt like we were seated in a local bar!
Went for Christmas dinner with friends. Love the ambiance in there because of the fish tank, it just makes it very relaxing. It was busy but our waiter was very funny and attentive. The food was very good - the only complaint was that one of our party got the shrimp and scallops plate and there were only three of each and the scallops were rubbery - they had been overcooked.
Beautiful aquarium view for dinner. Restaurant even personalized the menu to wish my boyfriend a happy birthday which was a nice touch. However, the filet mignon I ordered was over cooked. When it arrived at my table the server asked that I cut into it to make sure it was cooked as I ordered it (medium). At that time it was....however within 10 minutes there was no longer any pink. It clearly had not been given proper time to rest prior to arriving at my table. The server apologized. But by that time I had eaten my side and was full so told him there was no reason to take it back to the chef. They didn’t offer to remove it from our bill which was disappointing. The calamari was amazing though. Just don’t go there if you are looking for a perfectly cooked steak.
Extremely disappointing meal from start to finish. When we sat down we were given Happy Birthday menus, but in fact we were having a Company Christmas Party which I mentioned when making the reservation on Open Table. I asked our server about the quality of the steaks served and she said “Select”, I then asked her if she was sure about what she was saying and she said let me go and find out. I ordered a Cesar salad which was served with wilted lettuce and the bread for the table was as hard as a rock. When I mentioned it another basket was brought over with the same problem all hard bread. The Lobster bisque was luke warm and had to be sent back, the charcuterie tray was not good. The Sea Bass was not that spectacular, unless I am invited by a business contact I will not be back to this restaurant.
Great food and great service ........................................................................................................ ......................................................................................................................................................................................
Lived in Vegas for almost 6 years now and finally had the meal that beats all the rest. Went in on Friday before the Jamey Johnson concert and had a spectacular meal. Started with the seafood tower for 2 and what my wife called the best clam chowder she ever had--we're from New England so that's saying something/I had sea bass/she had shrimp trio/side of mushroom risotto. PERFECT, everything was PERFECT.
Had an issue with my second pour of Herradura reposado (think they tried to pull a fast one so returned it and got a Sculpin IPA in a bottle).
Harris was the best--very energetic. Our server was so/so, seemed disinterested.
I'll be back
Everything was the best is could be: Great food, excellent professional service, and a wide selection of beverages and food. We actually had a party of 7, when I had originally booked for 6, and they made special accommodations for us. Quite an experience and I would not hesitate to take my friends and family there again!
We dined here for my birthday and were treated like royalty by Harris, our server. He made excellent suggestions, such as having the crab cake appetizer. It was mostly crab lumps in the crab cake and delicious! We were pleased with our tasty entrees, also, including sea bass for my husband and spicy ahi tuna for me. We also shared the complimentary "birthday" ice cream pie, which was filling. We would not have ordered key lime pie if we had known upfront I would receive a birthday pie. Therefore, we took the key lime pie slice with us and shared it for breakfast the next day - also, delicious. Harris made our visit very special.
The food was delicious, drinks were reasonably priced and made perfectly! Service was attentive. We had a problem with food temperature, another server noticed my boyfriend wasn't eating and inquired if anything was wrong. We were waiting on our server, this server took the plate to correct the problem and made sure it came back satisfactory. This team effort is not found often in dining. The aquarium was amazing! It's my first stop when I'm Vegas again
The food was amazing, as was Paul, our server! Paul even had a few andedotes we found extremely entertaining. Jim, the Morrey Eel was watching while we dined, he seemed pleased as well.
I would return to the Chart House again, and again. This was my second visit to a Chart House, first in Tahoe, I found each to be exceptional in both food and service.
