I have been to other Chart House locations on the west coast. This was a great location on the intercoastal. The service was outstanding and we enjoyed our entrees. The one negative was we were early on Sunday evening and they were out of certain appetizers and even a particular specialty drink. Despite this they made up for it with other great selections and the service.
I have been a member of the chart house for many years. I have also recommended it to numerous friends, and the feed back was always excellent.
Disappointing- halibut was on menu as fresh fish- however, they did not have any at 6pm - server said she thought it came in today, but was not processed yet, and not available to order. Unable to chew Ahi tuna entree - bad cut, had to send back. Sides of seasonal vegetables and asian green beans were served lukewarm, rubbery, and lacked seasoning.
Salad bar for $9.50 was the highlight.
Great food and goos service. Prime rib was seasoned very well. My wife has Alaskan King Crab...it was cooked to perfection. Very nice anniversary dinner
Everything was very good but for the price of the salad bar, it should have been filled with all items available. There were several empty dishes out and for the price, not really acceptable. I could understand if I were at a chain restaurant but not up to Chart House standards. The bread also took a long time to get to the table because “it was in the oven “ but it was definitely not hot when it arrived. Food was good and the service was great but for the amount of money I spent, I expected better.
Unfortunately our experience was not good. The service was terrible. We waited 30 minutes for our ordered bottles of wine, then another hour for our food. The food was tasty but the wait really made it hard to enjoy. Furthermore, surprisingly, there was no accommodation or offer to reduce our bill based on our experience. The general manager did apologize, but we were disappointed. We had a large group, ordered appetizers, cocktails, wine, the meal and desserts, so the bill was substantial. Very unfortunate.
This was our 2nd time and I hoped for an improvement with service but was disappointed again. Staff all seem uninterested, except the salad bar guys. Waiter, Chris, was slow at every step, forgot to order the lava cake, and forgot our request of a birthday song/dessert, which was the reason for our visit. The food was good but pricey. The salad bar and bread were great. Not worth the money.
Extremely slow inattentive waitress
Always pleased with cordial staff, good dining, gentle atmosphere. Keep up the good work, and we'll continue bringing friends to the Chart House!
We went there for my birthday with a few friends. Our waitress, Molly was wonderful and the food outstanding! Would definitely recommend it and will go back when we are next in Daytona!
The tuna appetizer was awesome. Then we moved on to prime rib and sides, all of which were perfect. I was pleasantly surprised
It was my boyfriend's birthday and I was surprising him for dinner. I happily made reservations days in advance. However, we waited an hour for the appetizer and a hour and fifteen minutes for our entree. When I complained to the manager all he could say was sorry. The experience was horrible and I will not ever eat at this restaurant nor do I recommend for anyone to go there.....
This is an annual tradition for our convention goers. We wouldn't miss it.
Great experience, excellent food, friendly staff. Outstanding atmosphere.
Love this restaurant! We've been coming here since 2006 and the food and service always impresses!
Terrible service. Our waitress had an attitude and wanted to argue. Sorry you had a tough night, but you can’t take it out on your customers. Manger handed the situation very poorly as well. Our group of 7 and our $500 tab will never return.
For what I would consider to be an upscale restaurant for the area, you couldn't tell by the attire of many of the patrons. The restaurant was very busy and bustling at 6:30 on a Saturday evening. We had a reservation for two, but the only available table appeared to be for six and right next to the host/hostess stand. Our view of the water and/or adjoining marina was quite limited. However, we were entertained by a constant flow of diners parading our table. Many were clad in shorts and tee-shirts, some in sweat pants or ragged jeans with an accompanying tee-shirt and baseball cap. We were surprised by the occasional gentleman in a jacket (as I wore) and a few who bothered to put on a pair of casual slacks and a presentable shirt. By far, most of the women were appropriately dressed. Our dinner with dessert lasted almost three hours. You could see that many of the wait staff were taxed by the volume of diners and that contributed to the waiters not being as attentive as one would expect. I asked about specials, but was told they had just what was on the menu. However, I overheard the waiter telling the table behind us of the evenings specials after we ordered. The wine we had was good and reasonably priced. The King Salmon Crudo appetizer was disappointing. The description was far better than the taste. My dinner from the Seafood Options (Maize Shrimp and Scallops) was quite good. However, my date ordered the Mahi a la Nage, which the waiter mistook for the fresh mahi selection. He was nice enough to bring the Nage sauce and accompaniments out after we indicated the order was incorrect. Apparently the same thing happened to another table near us, as I overheard the manager apologizing to them.
Unfortunately, I have dined at other Chart House locations with far better results. At the very least, I would recommend avoiding Saturday nights. Perhaps a week night might be quieter with more attentive staff.
Amazing waiter. But the food....
Felt rushed from the moment we sat down. Our waiter was excellent however. Booked with Open Table and I felt it was one of those restaurants that sat aside a few tables for such bookings. We were seated in the worst table there, I won’t return. The food, however, was quite good.
Great food but took a long time to eat. You cannot get in and out in under 2 hours
I have loved patronizing Chart House restaurants, in CA, HI, CO, and now FL since 1966. The menu, the Salad Bar, the service, and the ambiance, have remained, essentially, since the sixties. It is this consistency that keeps me, and many others, coming year after year. When this consistency is not adhered to, the result is an overcooked steak, a less than full martini, plates left on the table for far too long, and disappointment on the part of the customer. I will be coming back soon. In the meantime, I expect management to not let up in it's insistence of excellence from the other members of the Chart House team...
Beautiful view! Ask for a window table. Food and service were great. We will return.
Perfect for grandmas and grandpas , not a great experience. Was disappointed
Great ambiance. Excellent service & wait staff. Managed super-well. Food was superior &
food presentation was awesome. The signature dessert "Lava Cake & Ice Cream" was the
best!!! It was a great place to have Easter dinner & I would absolutely recommend it highly
to friends & family. Cheers!
Easter dinner was delicious and impeccable service.
Absolutely superb dining experience! Delicious "chefs choice "
A nice restaurant with a pleasant ambiance. We enjoyed ourselves. They know how to make a great Old Fashioned! On the down side, I ordered a shrimp & scallop dish which was pricey and there were only four shrimp and two scallops; the bulk of the dish was made up of the small potato/spinach things. For dessert, I ordered the "Original" Mud Pie described as coffee ice cream, chocolate sauce and fresh whipped cream. It was huge, but 99% ice cream, a thin layer of Oreos, about two tablespoons of whipped cream and the only chocolate sauce was dribbled in thin strips across the plate, accessible only by scraping it up, so it was basically about three scoops of unadorned coffee ice cream. Very disappointing; I'd prefer Dairy Queen.
My husband and I have a tradition with another couple for Thanksgiving and Easter, to enjoy a wonderful meal at Chart House. This year, our Easter meal was not up to the standards of past years. My husband ordered a steak, which came well done. Our server took it back to be refired to medium rare. When the second steak came, it was brought by the manager. My husband cut into it, to find it very rare. By the time the third steak came to the table, the other three of us were already finished with our meals. As it should have happened, the manager took the steak off of our bill, but it still was a less-than-enjoyable meal overall. The whole experience was ruined for us. I'm not sure we'll go back any time soon; the food prices are high & it's not worth the hassle.
Food took a long time and 3 meals came out cold. When heated food was good but meal took over 2 hours
From beginning from my home in Inverness to Daytona beach, everything was great!
Excellent dining. The early menu offers a bit of a price break. The food is outstanding and the service/presentation is top notch. I especially enjoyed the wide variety of choices from the salad bar. A special thanks goes to our server who was as pleasant and friendly as they come.
The atmosphere is great. The serving staff couldn't have been more attentive. The view can't be beat. The prime rib was an excellent cut and could perfectly. Love the salad! The fish was a disappointment, it was not any snapper I've ever seen or tasted and it was tough. I left half of it but was satisfied because we had ordered a calamari appetizer that was delicious.
We love ChartHouse and this location is amazing. Food and service is always great
Best lobster bisque ever! Snapper Hemingway not very far behind! Selection of desserts could be more ample - key lime pie in a restaurant of this caliber is a mismatch.
Big disappointment. I read the reviews and most were positive. I discounted those that said it was over-priced because while I thought it probably was over-priced for the locale, I was traveling from the NYC metro area, so I was sure it was going to seem like a bargain to me. Here are the facts: 7:15 reservation, not seated before 8:30. By 9:30, the entrees had not been served--while we had oysters and soup/salad, we were waiting a terribly long time. Service was friendly, but awfully slow. I feel as though the kitchen must have been understaffed or dysfunctional somehow. The food: Well, the oysters were served only with cocktail and horseradish (no mignonette). They weren't fully cut away from the shell. There was weird blue food coloring in the ice (ice--not rock salt). So, they were not a "fine dining" experience, but tasty. The lobster bisque was delicious. The spinach salad was overdressed. Entrees: stuffed shrimp--small and tough with cold rice; hemingway snapper--needed a sauce and overcooked; key west grouper--sweetish, even though I asked the waiter if it was, lukewarm rice, and slightly overcooked. Not a vegetable or anything to dress up the plates. While creamed spinach is offered as a side dish, it's not really what I want with snapper with what was supposedly habanero butter. It seems like it has a steak house orientation (salad bar, mushrooms, creamed spinach) that is trying to be something else---sort of wandering between two worlds. And yes, it was expensive, especially for mediocre food. Nice diningroom, though. My suggestion is go for lunch and have the salad bar and the lobster bisque and enjoy the view. The cocktails also looked potentially interesting, but we had wine.
It was a great experience. I miss when the Chart House was In Ft. Myers. The service and food was excellent and so was the location.
Great food in a nice areas with a beautiful view of the waterfront and situated in a nice neighborhood. The food quality and service were fantastic.
The Chart House in Daytona Beach is our favorite location, and we've visited several. The early bird special from opening to 6 p.m. includes perfectly prepared prime rib and the dining provides both river and beach skyline views. We love it!
Excellent food, attentive service, good ambiance and quiet enough for a good conversation.
We came during happy hour on a Monday. It was a pretty slow time. Got our choice of seats in the bar. Good happy hour menu. Ahi tuna nachos and shrimp tacos were our favorite.
