Chart House Restaurant - Daytona Beach Ratings and Reviews
Have never been disappointed when dining at Chart House in Daytona Beach, FL. Cocktails arrive prepared as ordered. Salad bar is extensive and the Ceasar's is excellent. Meals are always delicious. Pleasant atmosphere. Pleasant view. Courteous staff. Makes for a pleasurable dining experience.
I requested a window seat 2 months in advance. Although I didn't think it would be a problem I didn't realize it was first come first serve anyways. So why bother making reservations. And there is no valet parking so my husband had to park a block away. We were celebrating our 31st Anniversary which I told the hostess. I was told we would get a lava cake with a candle. The waiter knew nothing of this at the end of the meal. When the manager, Roger, came over to talk to me he was very condescending. He should be more polite to customers. I hadn't been in 30 years and will never go back. The meal wasnt that great. Not for the price you pay. Very disappointed.
No other family of restaurants does seafood as well as Landry’s does-regardless of the brand. We have had well over 100 seafood meals and not once was there a poorly cooked item. The Chart House has been remodeled since our last visit, but it is still as relaxing as ever.
Very nice place, we were there for our 43 year wedding anniversary, and have celebrated there a few times before. I would highly recommend it for excellent food and great cocktails. The service was fantastic and the views were great. The prices were a little high but we still enjoy the Chart House for our very special occasions! Loved it!
Our visit to the bar downstairs was underwhelming at best.... the bartenders and server staff were rude and preoccupied. We had to send our drinks back and that seemed to annoy them more. Thank goodness for dinner, our server was fabulous and the food was great. Thanksgiving dinner was done right. Our server made the whole night. I wish we could remember his name.... he was a young guy who was from Daytona. The ladies at the reception desk were also welcoming and friendly.
Just avoid the bar....!
I really dislike giving this 2 stars but, I am basing this on the service we received as well as the location of our table. We were a party of 5, celebrating Thanksgiving. I booked this reservation weeks ago and was disappointed to be seated right beside the busy salad bar area, close to the restrooms at a table that really should not have been placed there. Our server was kind but I really felt like she did not want to be there. She rarely came around to check on us, some of our guest’s drinks were not refilled, bread basket was not refilled, coffee not refilled, etc. The food, however, was amazing!! The manager did come by to check on us, so I appreciate that. All in all a good dinner but I highly doubt we’ll be back, based on our negative service experience. One of our guests was slightly annoyed after finding hair on our table when we were seated and the light that was placed above our table flickered all the time. The bathroom was very small and unclean for being such an nice restaurant.
Very good but pricy party I have three we each had salad bar soup appetizers and two drinks each and dessert. The lobster bisque I didn't care for didn't think it need to have a tomato base while there was plenty of lobster something I wouldn't order again the bruschetta appetizer was very good two of us had prime rib with Yukon Gold potatoes one person had the coconut shrimp and also spinach the side dishes like the spinach you have to pay separate but it's definitely enough for two people.
Unfortunately it wouldn't let me upload any photos. For the three of us with the tip with all we had $317
We were there for Thanksgiving Dinner. Food was ok. Turkey was a little dry and did not care for the white gravy over the turkey. The meal came with dressing, cranberry sauce, sweet baked potato, and either pumpkin pie or pecan pie. I decided on the pecan pie which was full of flavor but lacked in pecans. Overall it was a nice experience however our table of 4 was very close to another table of 4 and between the two tables was access to other tables that both waiters and customers used which caused me to have to move my chair a lot. The waitress did move the other table closer to a window which helped a little but not much. I would recommend it to friends but known this is "Old School" dining!
The personalization and attention to detail really set this restaurant apart from the rest. I booked a table for two to celebrate our 28th Anniversary. At the top of our menu, in print, was "Happy 28th Anniversary"! How special did that make us feel!?! The food was AWESOME, prepared just as you would expect from a fine dining establishment. Great service and fantastic atmosphere. Will definitely be returning to Chart House again soon!
The food was awful; our tables was so close to another that the diners at that table were outraged; the service was poor, and the prices way out of line with the quality. Shame on you, Chart House. Presentation was poor; flavors were completely lackluster, and everything tasted like it was pre-packaged and zapped for the table. I will never return and will tell others to avoid this restaurant always.
Food was great as always and waitress very attentive. The only complaint I have is not receiving the table we requested. Our reservations were made 2 days in advance and I understand that accommodations must be made for large groups. No one had the courtesy to explain our request could not, would not be met and why. We were taken to a different table and we had to ask why. No one seemed to care. Explanation when asked was the table is taken.
Very expensive for what we got. Don’t mind paying but if your going to be a high end restaurant you should give high end food and service. It was a 3 hour dinner! No apologies no nothing. We just sat there.
2 of us had the Grouper and it was sooo dry. The filet mignon was nothing to brag about. Short ribs were good. Some people asked for potato and everyone got rice. Not sure why. Did they run out of potatoes? Was the waitstaff not listening when the orders were placed, or did the kitchen mess up? We were celebrating a birthday and took out our family and friends and we were embarrassed to say the least. You can’t have bad service and OK food when you’re going out to a nice restaurant.
We enjoyed our meals very much, but did not like the service. We feel when you go to a fine dining establishment, a waiter should not be trying to "sell" you all kinds of extras. Most people can look at the menu and decide what they want to eat and drink. The waiter came over and tried to "sell" signature cocktails, a wine much more expensive than the bottle we ordered, side dishes, (even tho our meals came with sides). and mentioned a signature dessert, even before we ordered our main meals. He must have been trained that way, but we did not like his immaturity and selling tactics. It was all too bad, because we did enjoy our salads and main meals.
While we were visiting the Daytona area we dined at the Chart House two nights. Great salad bar with a variety of fruits, greens, cheeses and Caviar. We all ordered from the early menu and both times I had the snapper and my husband had the salmon. The crust was a delicious Parmesan, bread crumb and lemon coating. The best restaurant in Daytona.
I came with my granddaughter to celebrate our birthdays. She turned 9 and wanted to do something nice and I heard about your restaurant. The view was lovely but my food was cold. The server was nice but I had to always hunt him down so by the time we were ready to go he brought me more sides. No manager was called, no offer to make me happy or comp my meal. The food was nothing special, frankly my salmon, mashed potatoes and green beans are better at Ruby Tuesday. I am also a Landry Club member and I am going to let them know. I will not recommend. Very disappointed on a special night and all the way from Palm coast
