Chart House Restaurant - Daytona Beach Ratings and Reviews
The personalization and attention to detail really set this restaurant apart from the rest. I booked a table for two to celebrate our 28th Anniversary. At the top of our menu, in print, was "Happy 28th Anniversary"! How special did that make us feel!?! The food was AWESOME, prepared just as you would expect from a fine dining establishment. Great service and fantastic atmosphere. Will definitely be returning to Chart House again soon!
The food was awful; our tables was so close to another that the diners at that table were outraged; the service was poor, and the prices way out of line with the quality. Shame on you, Chart House. Presentation was poor; flavors were completely lackluster, and everything tasted like it was pre-packaged and zapped for the table. I will never return and will tell others to avoid this restaurant always.
Food was great as always and waitress very attentive. The only complaint I have is not receiving the table we requested. Our reservations were made 2 days in advance and I understand that accommodations must be made for large groups. No one had the courtesy to explain our request could not, would not be met and why. We were taken to a different table and we had to ask why. No one seemed to care. Explanation when asked was the table is taken.
Very expensive for what we got. Don’t mind paying but if your going to be a high end restaurant you should give high end food and service. It was a 3 hour dinner! No apologies no nothing. We just sat there.
2 of us had the Grouper and it was sooo dry. The filet mignon was nothing to brag about. Short ribs were good. Some people asked for potato and everyone got rice. Not sure why. Did they run out of potatoes? Was the waitstaff not listening when the orders were placed, or did the kitchen mess up? We were celebrating a birthday and took out our family and friends and we were embarrassed to say the least. You can’t have bad service and OK food when you’re going out to a nice restaurant.
We enjoyed our meals very much, but did not like the service. We feel when you go to a fine dining establishment, a waiter should not be trying to "sell" you all kinds of extras. Most people can look at the menu and decide what they want to eat and drink. The waiter came over and tried to "sell" signature cocktails, a wine much more expensive than the bottle we ordered, side dishes, (even tho our meals came with sides). and mentioned a signature dessert, even before we ordered our main meals. He must have been trained that way, but we did not like his immaturity and selling tactics. It was all too bad, because we did enjoy our salads and main meals.
While we were visiting the Daytona area we dined at the Chart House two nights. Great salad bar with a variety of fruits, greens, cheeses and Caviar. We all ordered from the early menu and both times I had the snapper and my husband had the salmon. The crust was a delicious Parmesan, bread crumb and lemon coating. The best restaurant in Daytona.
I came with my granddaughter to celebrate our birthdays. She turned 9 and wanted to do something nice and I heard about your restaurant. The view was lovely but my food was cold. The server was nice but I had to always hunt him down so by the time we were ready to go he brought me more sides. No manager was called, no offer to make me happy or comp my meal. The food was nothing special, frankly my salmon, mashed potatoes and green beans are better at Ruby Tuesday. I am also a Landry Club member and I am going to let them know. I will not recommend. Very disappointed on a special night and all the way from Palm coast
This is the first time for dining for us, but others in our party have been to your restaurant.
The early bird menu is quite fair in prices, smaller choices but enough. With the salad bar included is a very good value considering your prime location, which is very, very nice.
The drinks came slowly initially, but the timing of everything was perfect in terms of food, and drink refills. The one thing, over anything else, that I think would add value is to include a vegetable with the early bird meal. You get a salad, yes, but then when the meal comes, it would be more pleasing to the taste buds and to the eye if the main course, and starch included a side vegetable on the plate. The plate just looks somewhat "boring." Food taste is very good/excellent.
Everything was perfect. From making the reservation so easy on open table to the special menu with our names and 25th Anniversary at the top. Tommy our waiter was perfect on the timing of each course and was so pleasant. Food was awesome! We will be going back again soon
We were celebrating our 40th wedding and was looking forward to a nice dinner. We had reservations for 5:30 but we got there at 4:45 to join the happy hour and have a drink and an appetizer. We ordered the Prime Rib Sliders and Firecracker Shrimp. We Didn't get served until almost 5:20 due to a large party that was there our waiter apologized we understood but we got our food the bread on the sliders were very dry. We then went upstairs for dinner and was seated at a corner window for 6 people facing the parking lot. We are Landry members and are suppose to get the available seating. The manager came over to the table and also apologized and couldn't have been nicer but our dinner was over. He did buy us a nice desert but you only have one 40th wedding anniversary
Had to wait 25 minutes for a table that I had a reservation for. They ran out of Mahi and Grouper by 8:00pm.Then the waiter came back and said the chef found a piece of grouper, didn't taste like grouper to me. I also ordered the molten cake and specifically requested strawberry ice cream, but was served with vanilla which I can not eat. Did get a side scoop of strawberry ice cream but could not eat the cake because the vanilla was melted all over it. My husband said there was nothing soft and gooey in the middle. When we finally got our check we had an uninvited guest, a very large ant was walking around on a side plate that was on our table. Needless to say but our 38th anniversary dinner was a flop, very disappointed. For the price I expected more from an advertised 4 plus rated restaurant.
First time at this location. Having been to other CH locations I was looking forward to the prime rib. I ordered the larger cut and I was somewhat disappointed. I ordered med. rare and the cut had too many over done areas. Basically it was not a good cut of beef. Taste was fine, but it just was not as good as I was hoping. The Yukon gold potatoes were not too good either, a little on the cool side. My wife had the scallops which were good, and my daughter had swordfish which was good.
