Four guys are here on Saturday 2-18-18 the night before Daytona 500. The salad bar was excellent as always and the kimchi calamari was a little over cooked. The entrees were excellent. A swordfish catch of the day, and grouper were the favorites at our table.

The service is an entirely different story. Three party buses arrived before our party. The management obviously was overwhelmed. The bar service was pathetic. PATHETIC BAR SERVICE. our appetizer arrived before our drinks. We never got one of our wine by the glass Never got it. Another second beer ordered with dinner arrived after deserts. The waitress checked on how our dinners were tasting over halfway into
Our dinners. The manager brought us free desserts and forgot one order and brought something else. It was like the Three Stooges were running the show here.

Lovely water views and excellent service. Great appetizers, sides and dessert! Entrees expensive and very disappointing. Parmesan crusted snapper had processed coating, very hard and overcooked. I believe it was something pre made and frozen that was dropped into a fryer. Inedible and $35!

Went with my wife for an after Valentines celebration. Food was great. Service not so. Don’t know if it was going he servers fault or not but it took an hour and ten minutes to get our food from the time we ordered it. We were seated immediately, even a few minutes before our reservation time. But then another couple was seated at the next table over after us and finished eating still before our food arrived. Fortunately we enjoyed the view and each other.

Have dined at chart house many times. My favorite place in Daytona Beach. However, this time was very disappointing. Took quite a while to get food which was not a big issue. The issue was the food quality. Two in our party ordered twin lobster tails. One tail was undercooked and one tail was way over cooked. Also one person did not get proper order.

Probably should have complained but didn’t. Very busy night at the restaurant. Waiter was not very attentive either

At these prices you expect excellent quality. Will have to think twice about going to Chart House again.

We were disappointed in the service. The food was good but not what you would expect from this level of a restaurant. We have been many times but we will not go back. Too many other great places to eat in the area that have better service, food and value.

Already reported my complaint...the Bar was booked for a Private Function...so we had arrived at 4:30PM when the Restaurant was scheduled to open. So we left and went to another Bar and then came back...Sorry we love your Bar but if you need to Book a Private Function...I get it.
However you should tell us when we Book a 6:30 Table.
Sorry again...but we spent $100.00 in another Bar and, then came back to the Chart House for dinner. Oh thanks for the “On the House” Coconut Shrimp HorsDeouves”.

The food was excellent, as were the cocktails, but definitely on the expensive side. Even with an appetizer split between 2 of us and 2 of the Chef’s specials, we both were still somewhat hungry. The place was super nice, but I didn’t really feel like I got my money’s worth. If you have the money to spend, I’d highly recommend it.

Usually we come here and enjoy our experience 100%. Tonight, wasn’t one of those nights. The table we were sat at was close to the kitchen entrance and the light above the table was like a strobe light (similar to a halogen bulb flickering because it’s on a dimmer). We had the hostess move us. The same thing at the next table but it was tolerable. I would suggest they have an electrician come in and look at the bulb types and repair.

The salad at the salad bar was very tired and slimy (black and spotty too). I skipped the salad and just had some of the other vegetables. When my fish came I could see oily fingerprints around the rim of the plate! Yuk! And during flu season makes it worse. It was almost like they spilled something on the plate and attempted to wipe it away but did so very poorly. Then there were several other prints around the plate (prints not glove marks). That's just rushing an order out and being careless about presentation. It is unfortunate as the fish itself was tasty.

The kitchen area (on the way to the bathroom) was a mess. I get places get busy - but there was food on the floor, cooks without gloves, one guy was sweating and wiped his brow! YUK! I hope he was the one who put fingerprints on my plate! .

Oh well - not a great experience tonight. Not sure if we will be back as this restaurant has gone through lots of change over the year. Its good, then great, then bad...

Last experience at a Chart House was in Westchester County.,NY at least 20 years ago. Glad to see that standards have been maintained!
Food was excellent and waiter kept to our tight schedule,as we had an event later that evening.
We will be returning.

Beautiful restaurant, beautiful setting. Prime rib wasn't very tasty. All meat portions were on the small side. 1sixth glass of wine for ten dollars is taking advantage. If efforts placed on ambience, were equaled regarding the food, this would be an exceptional dining establishment.

Our meal was very good. I had the stuffed founder and my husband had the "early bird" fish and chips. My fish had a little too much lemon shallot butter which they put on all their fish entrees. If I ordered again I would ask for easy on the shallot butter. The fish and chips were flaky and tasty. The early bird includes the salad bar which makes this a choice less expensive one.

This was our second time dining at the Chart House, and quite honestly, this particular experience was not nearly as good as the first. The server was very unfriendly, and the food was just below average.
