Chart House Restaurant - Daytona Beach Ratings and Reviews
We had dinner at Chart House on Friday, January 12th. There were 6 of us celebrating our friend's upcoming wedding, and let me just say the service was wonderful. The hostesses were so nice and hospitable, taking pictures for us without us even having to ask! Our server, Jesse, was amazing and his recommendations and service were stellar. We had the calamari and lobster bisque to start, I had the Baked Crab-Stuffed Shrimp for my entree, and we all had the chocolate lava cake (which was to DIE for!); everything was DELICIOUS. I would recommend Chart House for any occasion, be it lunch, a romantic dinner, or girls night out!
We have been dining at The Chart House Restaurants through the years and though not what they once were back in the day of the Salad Bar Feast, still a very nice experience. Ahi Tuna was outstanding, hubby had the Snapper and it was good but he also thought my meal was better so he helped me finish it off. Small pour on the wine which is typical for fine dining, the Not So Old Fashioned, very good. Thomas, our waiter was wonderful. The chocolate lava dessert is worth it, loved the decor, view is great...a very enjoyable evening.
We went here last night for our 4th anniversary and were not disappointed. We mentioned our anniversary and there was a card at our table that was signed by some staff members and our menu was personalized and read Happy Anniversry that they let us keep.
We ordered the coconut shrimp which was so tasty especially with the tasty sauces. The plate looked like an underwater ocean scene. My only criticism would be the number of shrimp. I would have preferred 6 instead of 5 so my husband and I could have an equal number of shrimp.
I ordered the spiced ahi which was by far the best ahi dish I have ever had. The wasabi cream sauce and soy cream sauce complimented the fish perfectly. I usually don’t care for mine too rare but I went with it anyways and I am so glad I did. It was perfect.
My husband ordered the New York strip and it was a phenomenal cut of meat. It was cooked a little more rare than he likes on one side but it still turned out great. The Yukon gold mashed potatoes went very well with the steak.
Thank you for a great anniversary.
We will definitely be back again!
Seating was a bit uncomfortable . At our table we was seated at the waiters/waitress station and was a lot of commotion. There was 3 different people taking our orders . Getting the food right and our deserts right was a nightmare, seems like nobody had a clue who ordered what and then when the bills came out for each couple there was a lot of discrepancies. But still booked again for New Year’s Eve hope our next experience is as good as our first was . This was second New Year’s Eve we have eaten there so hopefully third time is better
The cuisine was exceptional.
The server forgot our appetizer which was severed halfway through our meal.
We waited more than 10-15 minutes for our check after desert and coffee. Server apologized for "keeping us captive" at the table.
We paid for and expected better service for a "fine dining" establishment.
There was a line in the ladies room on the main floor as there was only one stall in the bathroom.
We were seated promptly and the staff was friendly. Our server explained the
special menu and was attentive. The salad bar was very good and had a variety
of lettuce and toppings. Our meals were correctly seasoned and properly
served. It was an enjoyable evening and we will go again.
Celebrating New Year's Eve. Waiter was very good. My husband's prime rib was excellent. The crab stuffed shrimp were poor. The food is very expensive. It would be nice if a side salad was included with the entree. Great place to celebrate a special occasion.
Had a great evening there on Christmas Day. Our server Corey was excellent! Outstanding service and very friendly with a great sense of humor. The shrimp cocktail was delicious. My stuffed flounder was superb. My wife paneed chicken was great. It was totally a five star meal except for the dessert. The lava cake was very dry and there was no lava chocolate inside. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Very special place to dine. Only major problem is that the tables are packed to tightly together so it can be uncomfortable to sit, or have conversation without hearing that of those around you. Also, very tight walking spaces, necessitating walking a long way around to get anywhere. It shouldn’t be like that...cheapens the experience significantly.
We visit Daytona a few times a year and try to take family to the Chart House for a nice meal each time. We are never disappointed. It's a beautiful location on the water/marina, nice decor, great salad bar, maybe the best prime rib we've had, and lots of fresh seafood/fish. The service is consistently spot on, and they run the place very well. Very busy this past Saturday night and no hiccups whatsoever. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
The only complaint is I was a bit dissatisfied with my Filet Mignon. I have had better steak at the Outback Steakhouse. I was very surprised at how "dry" it was and not tasty at all - considering how much it cost. I will know better next time and order something else.
Food and ambience was excellent. Hostess was charming and very friendly. Bartender needed a little bit of Christmas spirit and a smile. Waiter seemed hurried as he said he would wait to place our order AFTER we finished our salad but we received our meal when we were 3/4 through eating our salad. He was nice but maybe had selective hearing when we asked im to wait to place our order.
