Chart House Restaurant - Daytona Beach

My now fiancé proposed earlier that day and we had a celebratory dinner. Exceeded all my expectations.
Everyone including Seth our server were very helpful and accommodating.
The dinner portions were not as plentiful as they should have been, my husband had steak, it was tough. My dinner was the scallops, very good flavor, but very little mashed potatoes.
This place has seen better days. It was the place to go 20-30 years ago, but it is looking and feeling a little tired.
Our server, Gio was the BEST ever! He had a GREAT sense of humor, knowledge of the menu and knew exactly how to recommend several entrees to the guests at our table. The food was superb and cooked perfectly. the Macadamia crusted Mahi was delicious, as was the blackened salmon. We very much enjoyed our Saturday evening at the Chart House and would highly recommend Gio as your server as he is a very accomplished server!
It took 3 times for them to get my filet right and then it wasn’t a great cut
My husband wanted to go there for his birthday. We hadn't been there for a few years; this was a special occasion.
We were seated next to a large family with a small unruly child. They handed her a call phone to occupy her so she had it playing something very loud and annoying. She tan all over and they were constantly scolding her. The ambiance was no better than a McDonald's.
The food was also disappointing. Portions very small. Plate presentation lack luster. Service was slow.
Finally, I realize this is Florida and it is a casual atmosphere, but no one dresses for dinner anymore. I would expect a fine dining restaurant to have some dress code.
Great view for a lovely sunrise. We love their salad bar and, as usual, it was excellent with great variety and very fresh. We had salmon and prime rib. Both very good. Service was outstanding. We always return. Superb.
Outstanding food and very quick and friendly service. Not rushed.
Excellent Service, great food and wonderful ambience. Really enjoyed it Thanks!~
We went there for our 20 year wedding anniversary both ordered filet mignon cooked to medium both came out very rare and had no flavor at all besides pepper went back 3 times still rare finally my wife ordered something else and I just gave up.
Fabulous night, great service, wonderful meal!
The food is always just ok but expensive for what you get. The scenery is great. The service is very good and the people working there are really nice. The music does not fit the atmosphere. It is a chubby checker/disco/bar music type sound in the beautiful setting and it ruins the meal as it is very unpleasant.
Went to the Chart House last night for dinner. It was my husbands birthday. We had a 7:15p reservation (which I got several text messages reminding me of our reservation during the week) When we got there at 7:10p we were told they would do their best to seat us soon. Did get sat about 7:40p. The place is louder than most cafeterias I have eaten in and the tables are so on top of each other. Our waitress was nice but extremely busy with numerous tables and we had to ask for things more than once. I ordered a sangria that tasted like pure alcohol, we sent it back and stuck with a glass of wine. It did not feel like fine dining what so ever. The food was good but nothing to write home about. Sad, because my husband had a bad year last year and was hoping to ring in a new birthday year with a great experience but it didn't happen.
Food was fabulous, fresh and delish. Never have a bad meal at this Charthouse.
Not enough waiters. This is coming from a Landry’s Select President Club member.
The server was an absolute delight. The steak was good. The mud pie was amazing
This is so far the best restaurant in Daytona Beach area. It is worthy to go.
We have brought guests to the Chart House 3 times since we were first told about the Chart House. Having recently become Snow Birds in the NSB area, we had never been to Chart House. The food, service, and ambience has made it a favorite!
Very good meal, but service has been getting slow. Particularly if you order wine/drinks which are made in the lower level bar and have to be run up to the main dining room.
We loved the meal b
It was ok. The menu wasn’t that big. I didn’t see much I would like and I like a lot different types of food. I do have to say the crab cake was incredible. I just don’t think Chart House lived up to the hype especially for spending over $100 for two people. I’m glad I had gift cards and didn’t pay for anything out of pocket.
Our drinks took to long. We never got bread until we asked. Our dinners came out at different times and one took 10 minutes after we all had ours. They forgot to bring our sides. Would not go back.
I have never been disappointed in the food, service, and enjoyable time I have at the chart house.
What’s old is what’s new again. It has been quite a while since we dined at the Chart House. Let’s face it, Daytona has a small selection of upscale dining establishments. We had a special occasion and decide to return to the Chart house. Everything was fantastic and made for a wonderful evening. We both had the Bronzed Swordfish. Outstanding sauce, fresh veggies and flavorful rice accompaniments. We started with the calamari rings which were covers in a sweet and spicy sauce.
Set among beautiful yachts, soaring palm trees on the inter coastal with spot lighting and groomed landscaping make this restaurant stand out above many others.
The food was very delicious and beautifully prepared The table had a wonderful view of the harbor.
However the whole dining experience was downgraded because of the very slow service. We waited a long time for a waiter. After we ordered we were told to get a salad at the salad bar. By the time we finished eating our salad, the cocktails had not yet been delivered. The manager explained that the large number of happy hour guests put their service behind to us regular diners. He did not offer any compensation to us for this.
We were there for 3 hours from 4:30pm to 7:30pm and finally left after dinner and skipped dessert as it didn’t come out yet. We ate our entrees in 20 minutes and it still took time for our dishes to be cleared. The prime rib was very tough and when we spoke with the manager about it, his response was bleak and asked what we’d like instead rather than apologize and be pleasant about the situation. He didn’t come back to check on us either. We drove 1.5 hours to celebrate my grandmas 95th birthday. Poor choice.
This was our first visit to Chart House but definitely won't be the last. The tuna and sea bass were perfect, lobster bisque amazing, crab cake melted in your mouth. I read other negative reviews before and I can't believe others had a negative experience, but then again some people have a negative experience everywhere the go.
They over booked for that evening. There were no parking spaces to park & we needed to park on the access road. Our reservation was 6:15 & we were not seated till 6:55. The wait staff was spread to thin. The chefs were way behind on orders & we did not get our meals till 8:20! The food & presentation was good.
Horrible experience. Didn't sit us where we wanted even though it was the 60th birthday celebration and reservations were made a week in advance minimum. Took an hour to get our food and when it came the steaks were switched and my boyfriend had put salt all over it by the time he knew it wasn't cooked properly so we couldn't switch. Terrible. Salad bar way overpriced for what you get. Not anything like the pictures you see on the Internet.
It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was quite busy. We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation time which was not a good start. Although our server was attentive and prompt, our food was not. It took quite a bit of time to get our appetizers and for some reason our soups were actually served before we got our appetizers. Three of us order prime steaks and only one was cooked correctly. My filet was ordered medium, but was delivered very well done. Our other guest ordered a New York strip medium, but it was delivered very rare and needed to be sent back. Tried to order a second bottle of wine only to find out that they had no more in stock. Overall, not a very enjoyable evening for the high price that we paid.
This has always been our go to place in Daytona when we stay at our condo on the beach. However, it certainly let us down this time.
Manager was awful, horrible table manners. Server had an attitude, hence why we called the manager. Food was good but ice cold.
We arrived at 4:30 and when we went up to the salad bar, it was a mess. The only word I could think of was gross. There was Caesar salad all over the top of the refrigerator where you get your plates. I had to get the young man that makes the Ceasar Salad to clean it up. If not, the Salad would have dropped onto the plates. It wasn't up to your usual standards. Corey was amazing, as usual.
Wonderful Salad Bar and very attentive service. Only negative was that they ran out of Sea Bass. Will definitely go back again.
This used to be a place that was on the top of my dining list every year that I visited Daytona Beach. Sadly, this year, was extremely disappointing. Food was ok, not exceptional. Portions seemed to have downsized. Salmon dinner was sent back and the second dinner was no better. Snapper dinner was overcooked, and was obvious. Service was great, as was the salad bar, so all was not lost. Nice wine selection as well. Unfortunately, we will most likely not be back next year.
mahi with thai peanut sauce and rice. yummy!
Great place in daytona! One of the best we've eaten in in 2019
Will never go back. Horrible service. Food took way too long. Not just our table but all four tables around us. Had to get manager to get a drink Never again
