Food was very good and prepared and presented very nicely. Server staff was terrible.
Made reservation thru Open Table. Arrived early but still waited about 60 minutes for table. Staff was very polite and accommodating, but still had to wait even though we made the reservation. Not sure of the benefit of using the app.
We had a very tasty meal. The humus appetizer with plantain chips was very good. My wife had the prime rib and I had the mahi, mahi. Both were well prepared and good portions. I liked that they split the salad we shared for an appetizer. Only concern was that the Caesar salad had too much dressing. Service was efficient and server was pleasant.
Fun time, not the place for recent graduates dining on a budget but lots of families.
Terrible food, a very institutional prime rib, disgraceful over cooked previously frozen Parmesan encrusted snapper with cold crab meat on top (frozen?) Even the cantaloupe in the burratta appetizer was rock hard underripe. Service was slow from kitchen to table, wait staff too young unable to discuss menu. Overall rating - never again.
We had a great meal at the Chart House. We leisurely enjoyed four courses...oysters on the half shell, New England clam chowder, surf & turf and Boston Cream pie. All these were excellent and our service was consistent and accurate. The historic atmosphere is wonderful on the waterfront.
They were extraordinarily helpful, they went above and beyond every turn which alleviated my fears of noontime parking. The manager was very Attentive and the waitress was fun, knowledgeable and the food was superb as always...
Was not a good experience for the money spent. Poor service (my water stayed empty for over 10 minutes for example) and my boyfriend felt terrible afterwards after eating their food.
Food and waiter was excellent. Valet professional was extremely rude and abrasive, he laughed in my face because he didn't feel as though I tipped him enough. I would not park at there unless you have to.
Food is always amazing. Location is great. Service excellent. Our waiter Tristen was excellent.
Great Food & Great Cocktails We got the Mojito Flites... absolutely delicious and the prime rib was perfect.
Small delay at check in when we had a reservation. Delay in delivering our dinner wine. Received dinner before wine. Dinner was delivered quickly. Just poor timing.
Great date place
We went there with my parent to celebrate a special ovation and it was exceptional!!
Our server went above and beyond to make our anniversary dinner night an extra special one! The food was just amazing! We had the crab stack appetizer and the large lobster dinner.. and we are just in awe he delicious everything was! Thank you for the amazing food, drinks and desserts Chart House Boston!!
Food was excellent but the service was extremely slow. It took over an hour from the time we ordered our food to receiving it. We thoroughly enjoyed our food.
Friend was here visiting from South America and we had a celebratory dinner. Delicious!
Food was decent, fish a little dry. Server was not great though overheard other servers who sounded very friendly and good.
Good as usual
My friend and I went for lunch on a Friday. The weather wasn't that great, so it wasn't very crowded. The food was great, and all the staff was very pleasant. It was quiet, but , as I said, it wasn't very busy. I have a feeling, when the place fills up, especially the bar area, it can be quite loud. Mostly seafood on the menu, but they also had some choices for non-seafood lovers like me. I had the prime rib French Dip, and it was very good.
The food was delicious, and our waiter Joseph has been outstanding, a real gentleman, kind and professional. Thank you! Harald
Great food and service
Came here for Easter Lunch. Food was top quality, delicious. The service was a little slow, but then again it was a holiday and our waitress was lovely. Prices are high however you do get what you pay for. Valet service was a much appreciated necessity in the city. The inside is dark red brick with beautiful windows looking out onto the pier. Definitely coming back in the summer so we can enjoy alfresco dining and take in the fresh salty air.
Have dined here many times and enjoyed the service, food and ambience. Dined here Easter Sunday and the experience was less than spectacular. Steaks and Prime Rib arrived over cooked and under cooked- sent back to the kitchen and they still couldn't get it right. Wrong meals delivered to wrong People at the table. Very bad day at the Chart House.
Well the food was good the service was not that great I understand it was a holiday but the staff seemed like they were confused a lot of the time and we waited quite a long time before someone even noticed we were seatin well the food was good the service was not that great I understand it was a holiday but the staff seemed like they were confused a lot of the time and we waited quite a long time before someone even noticed we were seated. Our mail was very good but our dessert was overcooked the chocolate lava cake had no lava so overall I would definitely recommend people go but I do think it’s quite pricey just for an every day dinner
Went for Easter.. Made reservations and were seated within 15 minutes of arriving. Our waiter Joseph was great. Very informative and pleasant. Dinner was served and cooked to each specification.. Was a nice time...
The valet staff was superb. Our waiter Charles was attentive and personable. The hostess stand - all four of them- were less than pleasant. We had to ask for Brunch menu. There is no toast or even a high end presentation with the brunch meals. Mediocre at best. The brunch items came first and ten minutes later the two regular menu entrees came out. The two of that received regular menu items were satisfied though our party who ordered the prime rib was brought the wrong meal so she had to wait a few minutes for her meal to come out. The ambiance is great. The appetizers - kim chee calamari and coconut shrimp were Delicious. We should have stopped there. The several hundred dollar meal was less than average. And disappointing considering we were there for a holiday.
Went there for restaurant week because we hadn’t been there in quite some time and had a very nice meal. Will definitely be there again in the near future!
Great place for a special occasion. A classic restaurant with outstanding food.
The food was great. Scrod stuffed lobster, very good. Service was extremely nice.
I’ve been want to get back to Boston for awhile. The opportunity came to celebrate my wife’s & my birthday. So we booked an overnight stay and made reservations for the Chart House. I had been here several years ago, it was my wife’s first. We both loved it. The food, salmon for her blackened swordfish for me, was excellent. My wife also got the lobster bisque & I ordered the clam chowder. Again both perfectly done. The lava cake was a perfect finish.
Our server,Alyssa was great. Very attentive, always checking in at the right moment.
We definitely won’t wait long to get back. I mean what’s a 3 hour drive when it for a great meal!
Our waiter, Tristen, was phenomenal! He made the experience absolutely wonderful. The food was pretty good, and the ambiance was incredible... so beautiful on the inside, and a great walk out to the pier. Will go there again for special occasions!
Went for Boston restaurant week. We had to ask if there was a separate menu and there was. A couple of the fish on the menus were sold out, but the manager was very accommodating. The food ended up being very good and the history of the building is a wonderful addition.
Service and food were excellent. Haven’t been here in several years from out of town. Did not disappoint. Great drinks, mussels, lobster bisque, prime ribs, lobster stuffed fish, and lava cake. Need I say more....
The food was great and the service was great, overall great experience.
We went for the Boston Restaurant week prefix luncheon. It was very good. They were very busy, even hosting an event upstairs, but service was still excellent. Our server was very attentive. Great experience.
We came here for restaurant week - the food was standard fare. Also got the mojito flight (delicious!). Ambiance was very nice and service was fantastic. Overall a great experience.
