This was our 4th Thanksgiving at the Chart House that our family all enjoyed, and plan to make it again next year!

Very good food and service. Tables were a bit tight, but fine once you got to your table. Pricing in line with other "better" restaurants.

Best experience of the night came from the valet parking attendant. Charthouse, you need to promote this guy.
Our server struggled, we assumed she was new. Our party of four was her first table; she was beyond attentive at first, crossing over to rushing us. When the second and third tables in her section filled in, she was clearly overwhelmed. At the end of our dinner, we expected the bill but after 30 minutes of watching her struggle with the other tables and no attention on us, we asked other wait staff for our bill.
The food was average at best. We have been to the Charthouse a few times but not since the summer of 2016. At that time service, food quality, beverages, everything was perfect. This time not so much. Changes have obviously taken place since the last time we dined here. Disappointing but I guess this one ran its course.
We will not be back.

First time experience was great. Ed provided excellent service and the food was delicious. We had the coconut shrimp for appetizer and the spicy ahi tuna & chicken as entree. Highly recommended!

We were there on a Sunday night and the upstairs dining room was quite full, so we sat downstairs in a corner near the entrance. It was very quiet, but I suspect that's because of the day and the location.

The food was very good, especially the Thai soup - new to the menu, and delicious. The lobster bisque and clam chowder were a little too thick, with cream too prominent in the flavor, instead of the seafood.

We were in Boston on Honeymoon and dining at the Charthouse was highly recommended by 2 friends before we left home! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience! The ambience of dining in John Hancock’s counting house was breathtaking! The service provided by Jewel was delightful! The handcrafted cocktails were delicious and our meals were scrumptious!! The shrimp cocktail served with dry ice smoking from the serving dish was fun and appealing to the eye! It is a meal we will both remember for many year to come!

A Boston standby that has only gotten better over the years. The last time I was there must have been 10+ years ago. The menu is updated, the drink menu expanded, there are many more modern options. Our server took the time to learn about us and share some interesting facts about Boston.
As far as I know - you can't go wrong with the Chart House. It is why I went back and it proved itself all over again.

I had the Maine lobster which they take apart for you and remove the meat at the table, which is nice. The food was great. Very quiet place. Great wine selection.

Caution ladies, watch your shoe wear as there's 3 or 4 levels so you may end up walking up a lot of stairs.

Fancy dinner with two colleagues, we booked on Open Table and they stuck to the reservation time even though we were 20 minutes early. Upstairs is a lovely and refined restaurant that is definitely a quality spot for a date or a business dinner. Prices run from high to very high, depending on your choice.

I decided that the ten ounce prime rib was dinner tonight. It didn't take long to arrive an.d an order of the creamed spinach on the side. Well marbled and delicious, the mashed potatoes that came with it were tasty.

Only two small problems.
I specifically asked my waitress for raw horseradish with the steak. She even remembered later that she'd forgotten, but it never did arrive.
As good as this steak was, a proper steak knife would have been a big benefit for cutting into it.

One colleague had the coconut shrimp. It was definitely an interesting presentation and he said that it was delicious.

Visiting Boston for Falcons-Pats game. Having visited Chart House in Maryland I was looking forward to dinner with water view but unfortunately, if their are any views of the harbor, I did not see any. Great night for outdoor seating. The other guests were very pleasant as were server and manager. Only "issue" was our apps (my clam chowder) came out the same time as my food. I was informed there was a large group that held up the order so I'm hoping they can devise a system where guests of small parties aren't affected or to be more conscious of getting at least the soup out! Also I got the crab leg add on, I do think $28 for two legs is a bit much (maybe $15-20). Other than that our food was fresh and cooked perfectly!

The staff were so friendly and accommodating but..... we booked on a Saturday night and found the restaurant very busy, waited over half an hour for our table and then a further 45 minutes for our starter to arrive. It was a very noisy and manic atmosphere but the food was very good! The staff made a conscious effort to try and make the evening run smoothly but it wasn't as relaxing as we had hoped!

Reservation was 8:15, they were backed up. Hostess said we'd get seated once a table cleared, but her tone was very short, unfriendly. Didn't get a seat until almost 9, and opted for the 'cafe' as there was still no table available upstairs. Our waiter was very good, friendly. Bottle of wine was not the year on the list, it was one year later. Was just eating at 10pm, too late. App of Ceasar was average, strip steak ok as well. Expensive and unexciting meal. Don't think we would go back.

Years ago my wife and went here quite often. After lastnight we quickly realized why we stopped. Service was awful. 14oz prime rib was 12 oz of fat. Drinks took so long to get to our table the ice had melted. Waitress didn’t want to be there, looked overworked. Never received the sides we ordered. Should maybe cut down on the events or reduce the amount of tables to offer a better service.

Our reservation was for 7pm. We were seated at 740 after "checking in" 3 times. Each time they acted like they didn't know who we were. It was 50 minutes from then to get water and a glass of wine because the hostess never told a waitress we were seated and her table. Also my husband drinks non alcoholic beer and there was nothing carried do he had to have Sosa. Another 45 minutes for our appetizer and then another hour for our meal. The kitchen was backed up all night and the waitress could have cared less. All the dinner guests around us were complaining. The waitress Never came so we could order more drinks etc. she made herself scarce. Our food was delicious but we didn't get to actually leave the restaurant till 1030. A dinner for two reservation should not take three and a half hours. There was no apologies for the service. Incredibly disappointed on our 22nd wedding anniversary dinner. Use to be one of our favorite restaurants but I don't know if I will ever go back because the service was so bad.

This was our 28 wedding anniversary dinner. Surprised my wife as this was where I took her on first date 30years ago. Table was great until two large parties invaded us. Waiter was awful and not flexible when my wife wanted a half order of crab legs.
We love the location and menu, had a great night despite the obstacles.

We had a very nice time, my only complaint was that upon arriving, the restaurant was not filled, but the table they led us to was right next to the kitchen door on the second floor. This was an Anniversary celebration and we had expected a nice table as that was noted on our reservation. They did change the seating for us after we said we didn't want to sit by the kitchen door. We were still in the same room with the kitchen door though, I feel like they could have found us a nicer table. Our waiter Ed was great!
