Wonderful in a historic location
Back at the Chart House for date night, and did not disappoint! Excellent location, service, and food was exceptional. Can't wait to come back again.
Food is always great at Chart house. Our server, Milan, was excellent...Attentive and pleasant. Gorgeous building. My only complaint was the seating against the wall was uneven at our table. One part of the couch was higher than the other. We scooted the table over a few inches and that was much better. Will definitely be back.
Great place. Food not as good as in the past.
Service was not that good. I think waiter was having a bad night.
Wow...should be closed...service was a joke, food good but I will never be back
There was a wedding going on upstairs and they just couldn’t handle it. We Waited an hour for food with no apology and could not locate a waiter. Will not be back
Great meal! Appetizers were delicious too. Recommend the poke bowl and calamari. The Mac crusted mahi with peanut sauce was excellent. Noisy that night due to an event on the top level but normally much quieter. Note the restrooms are on the bottom floor. Fascinating old historic building.
We sat in the bar at lunch time, bartender was very patient and helpful with suggestions. It was quiet only because we were the only ones there at this particular time. I go here often, food is consistently good.
40th birthday with phenomenal service.
We went in January and the food was amazing. We had great service form our waiter as well. I recommend the molten lava cake!
New Years Eve. Great meal! Excellent service
A server can make or break an experience. Our server was pushy, forgetful, inattentive, and uninformed. Orders were messed up, etc. we couldn’t get out of there fast enough, which was a shame because it was New Year’s Eve and intended to be a fun night out. The Charthouse in Annapolis was always a go-to for us... this location was a disappointment.
Feels like a lot of the food is pre cooked and not necessarily fresh and cooked to order and while not bad but certainly not high quality is not a great $ value
Great time and great table!
Family of six, nice round table, great service, everyone liked their meals...!!!
Service, food and setting were all great.
Christmas dinner with family and everything was great!!
We took the family for Christmas Dinner, the food was great and we had a wonderful time.
Good and service were excellent. Only disappointment was the seating. I never thought to ask about elevators to the second level. Unfortunately if you use a cane or walker your only choice is one of a handful of tables across from the main door. Not a very attractive spot.
This is our 2nd year going to Chart House for Christmas Dinner (Easter last year too)...the
service, the food, the waitstaff, the atmosphere all lead to "celebration"...
Yes I would recommend Charthouse for seafood but my husband's steak wasn't up to standard.
Very attentive staff, made dining experience joyful
Christmas Eve dinner. Great service and food.
We dined in the afternoon on Christmas Eve. There was only valet parking available. The inside is dark and they’ve kept the decor to old Boston style. We both got the lobster stuffed Schrod and it was excellent. The server wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu but was friendly. The prices were slightly high, but that’s to be expected in a Chart House. Good overall experience.
All ok. Always a treat
Chart House is a classic Boston restaurant experience. The food was great (and priced that way) and the service was generally pretty good. The Lava cake is to die for, just save room for it. I might recommend a table away from the kitchen area, however, as we got to hear every word of the staff getting an earful from the higher ups on a regular basis...a little uncomfortable. Overall worth the trip into Boston.
Loved the ambiance. Loved the shrimp and crab avocado mango stack.
We had an awesome dinner! The food was excellent and we had a lovely table by the Christmas tree. The staff even gave us a card wishing us a happy anniversary. We will be back!
Good and service was great. The only problem was that it took a LONG time to get our food, including desert.
Igor our waiter was fantastic, very attentive and the food and atmosphere we're great!
First visit to Boston and Chart house. Made a great choice, food was great and the service was even better. The shrimp, crab, mango stack is really good and the prime rib is close to perfect. Our server Gene was the best part, nice helpful and made the evening great. Thank you for a great first dinner in Boston
We have always loved the Chart House but we’re very disappointed to be seated in a small congested ground level area where there was a very loud group next to us. The upper levels of the restaurant was reserved for parties, which I feel should be noted when booking. Our table was not in a desirable area and my husband and I could not hear each other speak. Our appetizers were forgotten(again, too busy with the functions).
The last couple of times we dined at the Chart House, 2016, 2017...the service was so-so. A waiter that we felt was trying to move us along. Took away my young daughter's plate, without asking etc. We didn't visit in 2018.
This time, in nov 2019, our waiter "Tristam" was excellent, a true professional. Explained the historical basis of the building, the various specials, his own favorites, quite helpful. All goes to show, hire solid professionals like Tristam, and people will notice.
Excellent service for lovely lunch
Service was very good. 6 of us ate, 3 liked the meal , 3 did not. Noise level was very high due to a loud and obnoxious group of eight at the next table. We were also seated next to the kitchen door which was not pleasant. 4 of the 6 said they would not return.
As for me, the overall experience was poor.
Very great service from Maruna.
Delicious Blood Orange Sage non-alcoholic beverage before devouring warm freshly baked bread with supple and light flavors leading to perfectly steamed vegetables and melt in your mouth filet mignon. Ambiance, waiter Ighor and delicacies make this a place to visit and keep visiting!!!! Thanks to the Chef.
Excellent service. Great food, especially the seasonal soup & chopped salad
Excellent lunch with my family after a fun day in Boston. Was so happy to have Joseph as our server. He is so friendly and always gives such a warm welcome which is why I keep coming back. I was with my sister and two young nieces who received a wonderful lesson on the history of The Chart House from Joseph. I was so impressed and learned a lot myself. It was wonderful and his delivery was just perfect. Our food was excellent. I love that I can come back a week later and have the exact same dish and it is perfect each time! All 4 of us enjoyed our lunch selection. We also enjoyed the chocolate cake and a raspberry sorbet for dessert. I can't wait to come in again real soon! What a nice treat.
Our meal took over 2 hours and the restaurant was not busy. It seemed the waiter was serving the other tables faster. Overall inattentive staff. Never saw the manager. At one point a nice young woman took our order but she wasn’t ours.
