Chart House Restaurant - Annapolis Ratings and Reviews
We went here for my wife's birthday and they did a fantastic job. I notified them ahead of time that it was her birthday and they printed "Happy Birthday Mrs. XXX" on the menu! They also brought out a complementary desert with a candle and gave us a great table. The quality of the food and service were both outstanding. Anyone looking for a great meal in Annapolis should make Chart House their first choice.
Normally there is a short wait and great food. This time, half an hour wait ( with a reservation ), packed lobby with no where to sit, the floor by the salad bar / ladies room was so slick I slipped twice and flew across the floor, wait staff spread thin running around and not as attentive as usual, the food was just ok this time - lacked seasoning and I got so sick from dinner I was sick for 2 days. Not the way to send your birthday!
We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation, not seated until 40 minutes later at a table near high traffic. I requested a table near the waterfront since it was a first time and special occasion. Food came out cold and over cooked. Terrible first time experience.
My seared tuna was delicious and so was our son's salmon and rich dish. The oysters rockefeller was alright. It was just cheese on top of an oyster, I expected a little more of an updated version. The shrimp was over cooked, but the crab meat inside was delicious. The service was very good. It is a beautiful restaurant and the you can tell how careful the management is with the care in the service. I would go back.
I have been a patron of Chart House for almost 40 years. Got engaged there celebrated many occasions and milestones; so I was very disappointed to have the experience I had the other night.
The attention to detail and service was not what I have come to expect after 40 years of patronage.
My wife and I visited the Chart House while on a weekend getaway for her birthday. We were extremely satisfied with all facets our visit including the waiter, food selections, food quality, ambiance, view, and atmosphere. Both our meals were top quality and my wife described hers as one of the best meals she had ever eaten. Well done, Chart House, highly recommended.
I've been to chart house before, and I really enjoyed it. However, this location and experience was just okay. While the views are spectacular and the wine was good, the dinner was just average. My server was nice, but she did not get part of the order correct and she was difficult to understand so communication issues could have been part of the order problem. If I'm in Annapolis I might try it once more to see if the second chance is a better experience; I'll also order something different to see if my experience is better.
While the location is terrific---fantastic view of the Annapolis harbor--and the interior comfortable and inviting, the food is quite good but overpriced for what it is. There are numerous other restaurants in the area serving food of equal or more exciting at a better price.
I was impressed with how well Chart House handled such a high volume of diners on Thanksgiving Day. Yes, there was a bit of a wait, but the atmosphere was warm and festive, the food very good, and I can’t recommend our server highly enough, he was so friendly/did a great job! Also, we had my elderly mother who is in a wheelchair with us and they went out of their way to put us at a good table for her. We were also impressed with the wine list and enjoyed an excellent bottle of Sancerre with our meal. Thanks to Chart House for making it a great Thanksgiving Day meal for us!
We had the worst table in the world, in a corner in the extra room in the back, sunlight shining in eyes almost the whole time even though the shade was drawn; noise from falling utensils, etc. right next to our table, turkey was terrible, gravy was not "brown" but sort of yellow. We are members of the club and have always enjoyed our meals and the ambience. This was the worst Thanksgiving dinner at the Chart House. Sorry to have to tell you so, but the dinner, etc. was not worth the money. Our server "John" was very nice, and attentive, but the entire dinner was not worth our time.
Pleasantly surprised the Thanksgiving Dinner was quite good. The filet was cooked to perfection.
Brandon our server was attentive and welcoming. Smiled constantly.
Bartender was great while we waited for our table. (We arrived early for our reservation)
We may return for Christmas dinner.
It has been years since I had been to the Chart House but my recent visit did not disappoint. The redesign looks amazing and the location and view is great as before. We went for Sunday Brunch and the salad bar, food and service were impeccable. Highly recommended all around.
The Chocolate & Bourbon drink was amazing (photo attached) and highly recommended for bourbon lovers.
