Food was excellent as usual. We had the spiced ahi which is delicious. I would think it would be better if when seared tuna was served the raw inside(which is my favorite part) would at least be warm. It was refrigerator cold...not sure how to fix but the dish just feels cold. I don’t think when I’ve had it in past it’s been like this. It’s still delicious but just wondering. Maybe I will ask next time
It was truly amazing!
A classic upscale Annapolis fixture that never disappoints.
The evening of 22 February 2020 must have been a bad night for Chart House Annapolis. My party of 7 spent three house at the restaurant when it should have been 1 1/2. Our food took 45 minutes mainly because the restaurant focused on the large parties instead of everyone. Most of the tables on our side of the restaurant had to wait longer for our food. The food was not well seasoned. The waiter was unresponsive at times. We were told that we would get complementary desserts for waiting so long for our food. The waiter later stated that the max complimentary desserts would be three. I am willing to try this location again but I heard that the Alexandria, VA location is much better. The manager came over 1-2 times. Not a very good experience.
Everything was pretty good however the steak was extremely tough. Normally get steak and it’s awesome but they still are our go to place.
Our servers Jonny and Sarah were just OUTSTANDING !!!!
Sarah was great. Had a great night! Will definitely come back again.
Kendall and Mark were phenomenal!!!! We have sent Friends since.
Everything was late starting with waiting 20 minutes past reservation time. You could tell they were just overbooked or short handed. The food was great and our server was doing his best to keep up through no fault of his own. Eaten there several times but this time it was a disappointment.
This was our second visit, and it was overall a disappointment. We made our reservation through Open Table for 6:15, but when we arrived, the hostess stand area was packed, and we were told that we'd have to wait 10 or 15 minutes before we could get seated. Ten to 15 minutes turned into 35 minutes before we were seated. That was a bummer. Our reservation was for a party of five, but we were seated at a round table for six, which made conversation awkward. The place setting for the sixth setting wasn't taken away until the third or fourth visit by the wait-staff, and the extra chair wasn't taken till nearly halfway through dinner. Drink service was poor, and we consistently had to ask twice for each drink. Clearly, something had gone wrong for the restaurant for the evening (overbooking? understaffed?) but this was a really disappointing experience.
I started with a cup of cream of crab soup, which was very tasty. My main course was grilled swordfish, it was grilled perfectly, but the seasoning was a bit bland, I know it is a taste thing but it was bland to me. My wife had the grilled rockfish, which was fantastic (as always).
Service was very good, even for such a busy time. We always enjoy our experience at the Chart House.
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere
Good food. Good service. A little pricey.
I usually love the Chart House in Annapolis. This visit was just okay. The service was friendly, but extremely slow. It took a long time to get drinks and the waiter completely forgot about my tea. Then we were disappointed to learn that the salad bar is no longer included with your entree. It is an additional charge, but has less to offer than ever before. No worth it. It's too bad because that is something we always loved.
My wife and I celebrate our anniversary every year at the location in Downtown Annapolis. I asked for her hand at this location, and rented the space to marry her in this location. BEAUTIFUL setting, excellent service, highest quality food, and you can’t ask for better ambiance within a restaurant. Overall, I would rate this restaurant as best of the best and I refer this restaurant any customer of mine that asks for an excellent restaurant as I own a business in Annapolis as well. Thanks for your years of excellence! No one should have second thoughts about visiting this restaurant after this review!
Fantastic service, even on a busy Valentine's weekend. Mahi was delicious. Beautiful ambiance.
My husband and I will be back to Chart House. It's definitely on the pricier side, but to me is worth it to celebrate a special event. I had the Fiery Cucumber cocktail which was delicious and refreshing and hubs opted for a chocolate whiskey drink that he loved. The food was great, well worth the price. I had Mahi and my husband had the steak with a crab cake. Everything was top of the line, including the water front view.
I know it was Valentine’s Day but not the experience we expected. They put us at a make shift table right in front of a doorway. We couldn’t enjoy the meal because we had to keep adjusting for people and servers entering and exiting the room. Soup came out 3 mins before our meal. I think the server forgot. Stuff shrimp were good. This was our first time at Chart House Annapolis, we have been in Virginia.
Great food, service and ambiance. Only issue was an hour wait even with a reservation. It mght have been because it was Valentine's Day so I will try again on a non-holiday.
This was by far the worst dining & Valentines Day experience ever!! Reservation was at 8:15 & didn't get seated until 9:30. Server was terrible & nonexistent. Ordered 2 glasses of wine & after not arriving for a while we inquired about them & the server said she thought we wanted them with dinner. Food took forever & when it arrived, a medium well steak was rare & had to be sent back. Wine still had not arrived also. When the wine did come one of the glasses was about 2 sips & the waitress said oh that looks pretty bad let me get you another. After all of this we just had them box everything up & left. We were so done with the whole experience we didn't even eat dinner & went home. I have been there many times before but will never return after this fiasco!!
Had 8 pm reservation. Arrived 7:30pm. Seated at 9:45. Finally served at 10:30.
Won’t recommend to anyone nor will I return.
Waste of money for the attitude of staff.
So, I made a reservation for 7:15 but didn't get seated until 9:00. The service was great but that wait was something else.
The Prime Rib had way too much fat and we had to wait 45 minutes past our scheduled reservation. Everyone there had to wait over 45 minutes. They overbooked the place and it was very clear what was going on.
Over booked for pass two years I have been coming for Valentine’s Day . I had to wait an hour with a reservation each time. Although I really enjoyed the food and the service was wonderful !
Seemed like the booked reservations for a normal evening. Kitchen was backed up. Food was great. Bar seating reservation and we were given a water view table! Very nice.
Good vibe all around
Awesome! We were right on the water. I could eat the Lava cake everyday!
One of my favorite restaurants! Great seafood! Great service! Our waiter, Michael, was wonderful!
Valentines dinner was excellent and the food was very tasty!
It was a beautiful day night at Chart House. The service was excellent.
It was anniversary night we didnt get any complements or any congrats except hostess. Food was tasty, porsions were generous.
Mark our waiter was excellent. We were a party of four and two were held up in traffic but Mark was most accommodating in the delay. Service was great and food was much improved over our last visit
Our server Johnny was AWESOME! The view was beautiful, and the food was good.
Facility is amazing. We had a seat by the windows, at 7:30 Pm, looking out at the bay and all the shore lights toward the Naval academy----great table. Nice wine list, so we had bottle of reasonably priced California cabernet.
Our server, Mark, was great. Ex Navy flyer willing to share some of his experiences We were a bit disappointed in the food, notably in view of the menu prices. There were some creative preparations on our appetizers, Escargot in mushrooms rather than shells, crunchy (fried) butterflied coconut shrimp served on really interesting shredded rice paper in a big rice paper form, but the shrimp were smaller than expected and overcooked. Shrimp and Scallop main course was served lukewarm at best and the shrimp were overcooked and smaller than expected. A crab stuffed flounder main course was very tasty, but the asparagus side (available in two portion sizes) was undercooked and not worth the $7. Should have been taken off the bill. We shared a chocolate lava cake which was delicious. Menu is expansive and maybe better luck would be had with the hoofed side!
It was our daughter’s 30th birthday. Her only request was to have a nice meal on the water. It was absolutely perfect! We will definitely be back.
A great experience for Sunday lunch with friends with excellent service and food
My Birthday. Wonderful brunch!
The staff was very friendly and checked to ensure we had a great meal and experience.
Wonderful evening. Food was excellent and so was our waiter Mark. So very special
