    The view was amazing. The salmon was delicious! This restaurant is perfect for a date night ! Would definitely come back!

    A business partner who lives in Kentucky was in the area. I wanted to take him to a nice restaurant in the area. They’re many restaurants in Old Town that I could of chosen, but I chose Chart House believing that we would receive the best service. That was far from the truth. Waiter was non existent. Once food was served, the waiter never checked on the table for over 45 minutes. once the waiter appeared, he attempted to bring the check without offering coffee or a dessert menu. Unbelievable. The waiter ruined the evening. By the time we left the restaurant, it was 9:30.

    Since the location is picturesque, the store can get away with offering minimal fare. We ordered calamari and we got a plate full of rice noodles, with french fries and some calamari on top! We ordered fish, and we got tiny portions, but for 4 people the bill was $300+. If you actually want to eat in Old Town, there are many far better choices.

    Overall it was a good experience. The food was good, the scenery was spectacular. The biggest drawback was the server was new (2nd day) and very unsure of many things about the menu and general expectations of a upper end restaurant. This is not her fault in any way, but rather, the restaurant needs to do more training and being with another waiter for more than one night. The best example of this was she did not know how to open a bottle of wine. It was obvious she had no idea on how to do it. So she went to another server, and they also were not sure how to open a bottle of wine. So that is a management problem that one would not expect at the Chart House.

    I went over a decade ago, I wasn’t too keen on the food then and thought I’d give it another try. My preteen asked for seafood by the water. Was going to drive to Occaquan, but since it was Memorial Day weekend, I decided to stay closer to home to avoid any potential traffic. The ambiance and views give the Charthouse its appeal. We did have a great server and the meal was brought out correctly. The food appeared ok (which is why I gave it a 2), but lacked flavor. I don’t think it’s too much to expect a better meal spending $45 per person. I will pay for good food, but unfortunately it didn’t meet the mark, even a decade later. The salmon didn’t taste fresh. My son said the coconut shrimp had an after taste. The sauce saved the calamari. You get more fried vegetables on the plate than calamari, but I’ll admit, the fried carrot was pretty cool the try. Oh, but the best thing, was the garlic mash potatoes. All that was missing was some cheese, so I added a bit of the blue cheese dressing from my salad to it and it made for a pleasant concoction. If you are cool with water views and a vibe and maybe want to stick to appetizers, you MIGHT be ok for a happy hour, but not for a full meal. I gave it a 3 overall because the views, setting, and staff were nice!

    It was a great dining experience and our server was terrific. The restaurant was a tad busy took a minute for our food to come out and unfortunately it wasn't correct so we had to wait a little longer.

    Went for Sunday brunch and the food was just OK (nothing really wowed anyone at our table). I would say the bread basket was the best part. The mimosas and bloody marys were good and a good price. Our server was attentive and friendly and fun, and of course the view is nice!
