I took my sister to Chart House for her birthday. It was our first time there. The food was EXCELLENT EXCELLENT and plentiful. So plentiful that we got full off the appetizers. BEST calamari ever. The lava cake was just sinfully delicious! The other person in our party had been there, and she had nothing but good things to say about Chart House too. Ambiance was excellent. We sat next to the window that looked out over the water. Our server was friendly and attentive. We ended up leaving her a 30% gratuity.
Server was awesome! Food was amazing! Views of water maybe it a memorable dinner.
The ambiance was amazing!! The food was exquisite!! It was my 50th Wedding Anniversary!! We had a great time. The view was perfect!! The server was very good!! Plus he really messed up our photos we had him take. I couldn’t use any of the photos he took or share them with friends!! Also i put on the instructions when i made reservations and i told our server that it was our 50th Wedding Anniversary, and it wasn’t acknowledged. I was very upset.
Wonderful mean and great service from Crystal! Sat outside on a beautiful day while in town for a conference. Had the gazpacho, which was one of the best I’ve ever have had. Have traveled to Spain and this beat there’s! Ordered shrimp tacos that were blackened. I like my tortillas soft and these were slightly hard but still wonderful. Then we splurged on our diet and had the trio of ice cream. Apple/Brandy, home maid strawberry and blood orange. All were wonderful and presented in a way to cleanse the palite! Thanks and will definitely visit more CH’s, haven’t in a long time.. Great Job!!
I booked online and stated it was our anniversary but I just wish it was something special added to the dinner. It was not so I was a little disappointed.
Everything was delicious! Our service was great. I would highly recommend the Chart House in Alexandria.
The food was respectable with a heavy nod to seafood. The service was good. The dining pace was appropriate. Nice view of the river. However, the overall experience was diminished based on being seated at a table that was too small for the size of our party. It was not a fluke. A quick look around indicates it's by design. So beware if you have a party of six (especially if any diner is not svelte) as they just cram a chair on each end of a 4 top. I am sure they would call it cozy. I call it trying to maximize your dining room seating and create incremental profit by placing a low regard on the comfort of your patrons. The person who sat us just shrugged her shoulders and said: "I don't assign the seating."
My fiancee' and I walked by it many times and talked about going, so we finally made a reservation for Valentine's Day weekend. The food was delicious, the view was gorgeous, and the service was outstanding. Pricey, but definitely worth it.
It was enjoyable. Lunch was good and service was nice.
The service was a slow to start, with appologies; OK later. Our view was good. The food for all at the table was fantastic!
Great food and wonderful atmosphere. The Chart House is where we go for special occasions and it never disappoints us!
Chris was an exceptional waiter. The food was phenomenal! From start to finish it was by far one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The Chart House really made it memorable for my wife's birthday by personalizing our menu! Chart House Manager (Sarah) sealed the deal by visiting our table a few times and ensuring the very best service and experience was served that night! +10 rating with the best reviews all around.
We had a delightful lunch at Chart House today! Two of us shared three appetizers: crab cake, coconut shrimp and fried artichokes, then shared a large spinach salad. Since we were celebrating my birthday, they surprised us with a slice of mud pie. The crab cake and coconut shrimp appetizers were particularly delicious, but everything else was also excellent. The whole experience was enjoyable and was enhanced by Porscha's exceptional service and the beautiful, sunlit fire room.
Overall good experience
Great food and great service
Great! Food amazing
First off I was celbrating an anniversary and when I made the reservation I was told they would write this on the menu. I did not request this but thought it would be a nice touch. They reconfirmed this when I checked in. They did not add this to the menu. The employee at the counter was in a huge rush and pushing menus out as fast as possible....Not the kind if service you expect when our dinner for 2 set me back $300+ with wine. Our waitress was polite and provided mediocre service while hardly coming to the table at all. BUT, the food was to die for. Excellent Prime Rib and Salmon Rockefellar ! Food was worth the wait. Great view from the table as well!
Valentine’s Day buzzkill.
CH is always our Valentine's dinner reservation of choice. Seven out of the last eight years. Last year we switched. That will never happen again! Great drinks (sangria), great appetizer (calamari), great meal stuffed shrimp, prime rib/crab cake, and great service!
Reservation for 6PM only to be told there was a 20 minute wait to be seated. Is this a doctor's office? When we left (8PM) there was little room left to stand anywhere near check in. Ordered medium rare Prime Rib and it was exceptionally dry and tough ($43) and was obviously the end cut subjected to a constant heat lamp for a very long time. The salad bar ($10 with entree) was lacking 5 items and we waited 20 minutes for it to be replenished to no avail. I understand that Valentines day will be crowded but these restaurants seem to way over-book on special occasions and the clientele suffer for it. Table service was exceptional but understaffed particularly bar service which took about 20 minutes per (glass of) wine order.
We tried to upload a much better photo, however i feel we had a comfortable, very extraordinary experience overall. The stuffed shrimp, steak, potatoes and mushrooms were cooked to par.
For this Wednesday date, we were celebrating my birthday, Valentine’s Day ‘18 & our one-year-anniversary.
Thank you for sharing your lovely river view, and for making our night memorable!!
Valentines Day- exceeded expectations
The food was excellent. We went on Valentine's Day so it was probably busier than usual. The only thing we didn't like was that we had to wait for about 10 minutes for a server to visit our table. I'm sure inhrh spring/summer its beautiful with the boats on the water.
It was valentine's so they were packet full. Service was good but food was ok. We've been there with much better food before . Will go back, just not on a holiday!
Everything was outstanding Salmon Burger was out of this world. My waiter was very professional. Could not keep my wife from the salad bar is was very clean.
It was a bit disorganized it took a while to get a server. I didn’t receive everything I ordered. We were approached by 3 different servers all polite but didn’t know who was our server. The last server was very attentive but he wasn’t the one who originally took our order so that is probably why I receive my full order.
Overall experience was great. Some of our food did not have much flavor
Our server, the food, the view, and ambience were all excellent.
Excellent service. She-crab soup good but lacked spice. Sweet potato fries were excellent. Would like to have seen better selection of fish-dishes. The river view would have been delightful were it not for the junk in the river (not the restaurant's fault). Seating was perfect for river watching.
