Chart House never disappoints!
This place does a great job during the social distancing. The wait staff is fabulous. Food is yummy. And you can't beat the ambience of being on the river.
It was my mother’s 90th birthday and everything went great! The waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable. My mother felt so special. Thank you so much!!
It’s been several years since we’ve eaten at Chart House so we decided to make the trip from Loudoun County to celebrate our 18th anniversary. Everything from the view of the Potomac to the food and service was as wonderful as we remembered.
The dinner was lovely, but I wasn't able to add 1 guest to my table which didn't make my party overly happy, otherwise the dinner and service was fine.
When l viewed the menu option online that very morning, l had selected the menu l thought l would love and be able to afford; of course upon arrival the total menu changed as well as the higher prices.
We decided to go big for Mothers Day, and the filet mignon and lobster tail was a perfect choice!
The food was delicious and the views are beautiful. This is our “go-to” restaurant to celebrate special occasions, such as birthdays, anniversaries and graduation.
Good service atmosphere so good. Food excellent so delicious of place it was so nice. I am satisfied . 😍
The experience was great! We requested a window seat and this request was accommodated in a reasonable amount of time. Multiple managers came to check on my party throughout our meal. The meal was delicious and we will definitely be returning.
Our waitress was not very consistent in coming to our table. We had to ask for things multiple times that were forgotten. Our order came to the table wrong a couple of different times with no offer to comp anything on our tab. The food was subpar. The view was nice. We will not be back.
Thank you to Chart House for the extra steps they took to make my mother's birthday special. I appreciate the happy birthday on the menu and the slice of ice cream cake for my mother.
I will return to this restaurant b/c I enjoy the view and for the most part the food and service. I recognize my party ate at the restaurant on Mother's Day, one of your busiest days. Our drinks arrived promptly and the food was hot. Five of the six in my party order eggs benedict. The tenderloin was cooked properly. Overall, the eggs were cooked properly, however, I would have preferred a softer yolk, but recognize the challenges posed in cooking these number of eggs. The english muffins should have been toasted more and more hollandaise was preferred.
I appreciate the dessert offered to my mom for her birthday. I did not request a piece of dessert, but do appreciate the effort made. The dessert was brought to the table (ice cream) when three of six were not at the table. The waiter gave my mother the dessert and handed the candle to someone else. My mother does not eat ice cream and for that reason we shared it a bit at the table. I had cake at home, which is why we did not order dessert.
I worked in fine dining for years, I suggest restaurants train their staff to understand table dynamics. It is rude to leave one person eating by themselves. In my experience and training, plates should be removed when the entire party has finished eating.
We had a great time! The location is beautiful, the food was great as well as the service. Highly recommend!
Alexandria was the best. Her service was very professional and accommodating.
It was perfect for being out with my friend for the first time in over a year. We got to chat and catch up as long as necessary. It was a fantastic experience!
Very COVID safe dining experience. Menu is robust .
We were seated at the very back of the restaurant with a view of Blue Plains. The hostess was very rude! It was ten minutes before we even got a server to bring us water. However, our server was quite nice and personable! Our meals were excellent! We would definitely order the, again! We even indulged in the decadent mud pie!
Great restaurant with a stunning view. I will continue visiting from time to time.
Always an outstanding time! My wife and I celebrated our 8th anniversary and 12 years of being together. We got a little carried away with ordering all the great food but it always an awesome experience. See you next year around this time chart house!
Great service and food!
My wife and I both got sick after eating the food .Dishes was subpar, presentation was horrid, . Never heard from the restaurant about it after reaching out to speak to someone.
Manager rudely addressed us upon entry informing us they “weren’t accepting walk-ins,” though we had a reservation. Food was overdone. Waiter was spread thin and only visited table once after food was dropped off. Overall a very poor experience, especially considering the price point.
Food and atmosphere was excellent, the service was poor.
Server was forgetful, slow to return despite a light crowd, blamed the bar for backups in orders, and messed up the dessert request for no nuts because of a allergy. Floor needed vacuuming. Only one bathroom was working, yet no one on staff seemed to care that people were lined up and alternating sexes for entry into the toilet. One stall had water all over the floor. Food was great, view is pretty, but disappointed we all were with the experience.
We arrived at the restaurant we had a great seat , however our waiter consistently was unavailable for us to reach him . We also needed to use the restroom but it was completely out of order we were very unhappy with the service
I invited family and friends for lunch and we had a great time and enjoyed the appetizers, drinks and main courses.
The food was cold and the waiter was not accomodating
The waitress was very knowable, the food was delicious. I had stuff crabs.my husband had a steakk
This was my 3rd year wedding anniversary and my wife asked to go here. We were seated in a beautiful area, in front of the fire place and the noise level was minimum. The evening started off great. We ordered drinks and then placed our order with our waitress Aniah (i believe that's her name). I ordered their 3-course meal and my wife had the halibut with couscous. We waited some time for the food to arrive, but nothing conversation didn't make up for. Prior to the dinner arriving, our waitress checked in on us to see if we needed anything. Our finally dinner arrived and I realized I never got my soup (1st meal of the three course). Mid dinner she finally returns and I told her I never got my soup. She brought it over and it wasn't good at all. I then asked my wife about her food and she didn't like that couscous. We informed the waitress of our dislike and asked to have the cream spinach instead. My wife was concerned her fish would be cold, so she asked is there a way to keep the fish warm? The waitress responded and said I can get you mashed potatoes instead since it's quicker. She never paid attention because we had a bowl of mashed potatoes on the table. I also request salt and pepper. When she returns about 10min later with the spinach, she ask is there anything else and I replied just the salt and pepper I've been waiting for. By that time the food was cold the night was just about ruined and for this to be our 3yr anniversary it wasn't a great experience at all. We requested to speak with the manager and Christine was very nice and attentive. She gave my wife another piece of fish to go. I don't know if the waitress was tired or just wasn't as attentive as she should have been, but I feel like we need a redo for our anniversary. That night was not the best at all.
Wonderful location with good food and service.
We went as a group date and had an amazing experience.
The sauces for the coconut shrimp were soooo good!
Managed to get a table outside which was nice as it was a beautiful night, I had the Salmon my friend had a steak, everything was good, I would have liked my salmon cooked a little longer, it wasn't really cooked evenly, it was still good, just not my preference. Service was excellent.
Outstanding Overall Quality Service! Can't wait to go back!
We always enjoy the prime rib, cooked to perfection....but be very specific in communicating your meat doneness preference,
Normally the Lava Cake is delicious but on this occasion was not served hot. It must have been sitting for a while. However, our table of four consumed it quite easily.
All in all, we were very pleased with the Chart House in Old Town. The view is outstanding.
It was the best thing I did that day to sit and see the panorama from their windows...😍🍷
Herb crusted salmon was ok. It could have been cooked a little longer and seasoned a little more.
