Chart House - Atlantic City Ratings and Reviews
We have had many fine dining experiences here so it was bound to happen that we finally had a subpar dinner. Service was excellent, the waiter was personable enough but the food was not hot. Mine and my wife's was warm not hot but our guest who ordered scallops/shrimp over pasta was actually cold. As in just out of the refrigerator cold. It was odd to say the least.
Brought my family here for the first time Friday. We were a little past our reservation time but they still accommodated us. Our server was more than welcoming and added to the experience. We had our 2yr old daughter with us and they still had open arms. Food was delicious and came out in a timely manner. Not the mention the beautiful view of the harbor which had boats lit up. Look forward to going back.
We usually sit in a booth or by the windows . Last night we were seated in the middle section between the other two sections .
The reason I rated the noise level unacceptable was because I could hear the entire conversation taking place by the people who were seated in the booth .
It was very distracting and definitely took away from a romantic evening .
we went here for Valentines day. it also happened to be ash Wednesday which meant we could not eat meat. The meat selections were wonderful. we opted for the lobster tail which was at market price...the price was $110 each. we both ordered the tail which was delicious but pretty pricey.
Enjoyed a lovely Valentine’s dinner with my daughter. She ordered the Coconut Shrimp dish and I was so happy I chose the Lobster and Shrimp Carbonara off the Chef’s menu. The Raspberry Sorbetini is perfect dessert if you’re already feeling full. It’s refreshing, light, and the perfect flavor of raspberry. So happy we chose Chart House for dinner. Only semi-disappointment was the Shrimp and Lobster Fondue, but the rest of the meal made up for it!
I will start off by saying the food was excellent and the service at the bar was great. I recommend starting with the wicked tuna it was perfect. The problem I had with the restaurant is the service from the wait staff. We were rushed at first but then when we ordered our entrees they took forever to come out. We also had a waitress that had no idea how to open a wine bottle. She couldn't get the plastic off and then she broke the cork in half. I don't think I will be back to Chart House.
Excellent experience at the Chart House last night The kimchee calamari was fantastic I highly recommend it and the Ahi tuna was about two and a half inches thick & perfectly cooked We like it rare and it was perfect with a cool center and my go to one of my favorites the Snapper Hemingway never disappoints and the sizzling mushrooms are some of the best we've gotten in our travels around the country. They were truly cooked to Perfection Unfortunately I can't comment on dessert because we never have room, but if you're in the Atlantic City area stop over at the Golden Nugget and go to the Chart House for dinner you won't be disappointed.
Dinner was excellent and service even better. Greg was our server and was very personable and made sure everything was perfect. Great cocktails too. Looking forward to going back soon to try out their happy hour menu. Looked amazing and reasonably inexpensive.
On Wednesday January 24th I had a reservation for 2 at 8:45pm. Due to the convention in town an earlier reservation wasn't available. There were 3 tables occupied & almost thru their meal making us the 4th & last table of the night. The waiter that greeted us returned informing us he was sick, leaving & someone else would be over to take our order. Shortly after this we placed our order. Our appetizer arrived very fast, which at the time seemed great. After a few short minutes of enjoying our bottle of wine & each others company staff returned to our table to remove our UNFINISHED PLATES which again seemed ok until we were forced to wave them off 3 times in JUST THE 1st Course from taking our plates in about a 10 minute span. We informed our waiter we did not appreciate being rushed thru our meal even if we we obviously the last table. Dinner arrived shortly after and unfortunately was lukewarm. Staff stood 3 short tables away watching us eat and making us uncomfortable and making our time awkward. We quickly ate our meal, turned down dessert, asked for our check and paid our $170 PLUS TIP bill for a rushed mediocre meal that was meant to be a special evening for 2 and rather expensive for (1) shared appetizer, 2 meals, cold asparagus and wine.
Regardless of being the last table for the evening with servers, chef and staff wanting to go home for the evening your last customer should be treated just like your first. I can honestly say this far from occurred. I eat out often and have many experiences good and bad but what occurred was not appreciated, fair or customer service oriented. If you prefer not serving later meals do not offer them on Open Table or when calling to set a reservation.
Overall, my experience at this location was awesome. The staff were very friendly, the restaurant was clean and beautiful, and the food was delivered timely and delicious. My only quarrel is, towards the end of our dining experience another group was seated right next to us that was rather loud and obscene. Our waiter still handled us well and even seemed a little embarrassed concerning the group. All in all we enjoyed ourselves.
I wanted to order the swordfish but they were out of it. As a substitute, I ordered the snapper. It was over cooked and had a bone in it. Not what I typically expect from Chart House. There are no Chart Houses in my area anymore. Being one of my favorite restaurants, I look forward to dining at one when out of town. DISAPPOINTED
Reached a bit early. Sat at the bar and the drinks and the bartender were both very good. The hostess was very pleasant when she escorted us to the table. Had a table at the waterfront. We ordered seafood , salad and onion soup. Everything was just right. The service was very good. Overall we had great experience. We have been to the Chart house in Philadelphia, but this was definitely much better. Good place for quiet birthday, anniversary or a romantic date.
