HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! PERSONALLY, I MADE A RESERVATION AND I'D ADVISE DOING SO. THE DRINKS ARE GOOD AND PACKED WITH A PUNCH. THE MIXOLOGY MAKES FOR A GOOD EXPERIENCE. I SUGGEST THE WRAY AND GUAVA CAULIFLOWER WINGS. IT'S HARD TO FIND TASTY FOOD, SO WHENEVER I'M IN BK AROUND THE BARCLAY CENTER, I ALWAYS STOP BY.

Overall a great experience minus reserving a high top table, waiting more than half hour before deciding to take next available low table. The host was pleasant through it all though. He deserves a gold star for service and I’m sure he appreciated our patience

I always enjoy Charm Restaurant when I go, however, it is always VERY pricey once my bill comes and the gratuity is included- which I believe is good and bad…otherwise, the food and drinks there are always good!

The restaurant is very small but cozy. The decor and set up is nice and works well for the space. The brunch menu is very limited and two of the items on it were out of stock the day I went. We were told that all the staff ate biscuits and gravy the day before so there wasn’t any on the next day (which is when we dined). That annoyed me to no end. The drinks were delicious and well blended with lots of natural juices and flavors where the alcohol wasn’t overpowering but packed a punch as well. I ordered a side of eggs (that wasn’t on the menu in the restaurant but WAS on the menu they post on the website) and then overcharged based on the price on the menu’s website. Though the price was eventually adjusted back down, I was told the price online was wrong and wouldn’t be honored going forward. Who’s problem is that? Yours or mine? Weird. One piece of chicken for my chicken & waffles brunch dish was barely chicken. It was fried bone to be honest. I mentioned this and the piece was replaced with another. Gratuity was automatically included on a party of 3 — which I’ve also never seen in my life. I thought this was odd but it ended up shortchanging the staff because I would’ve tipped more than what they took out. Oh well. The overall experience was just okay. It’s a local location so I’d give it one more try for dinner instead because brunch was not it.

I've been here for dinner couple times before. This time I wanted to do brunch. That little plate of home fries is crave worthy. I enjoy the drinks here, especially the wray maker. A RnB type of vibe with the music. Food is great to me. I always try something new to eat every time I come.

Friendly, welcoming and lovely experience. Great staff🤩 Hefty portions of deliciousness! I enjoyed the jerk chicken and my colleague delighted in the salmon. The sides were perfection, particularly the coconut inspired rice and beans. I look forward to my return🙌🏽

The restaurant was low on staff and the person behind the bar was not a bartender. It took a long time to get our food and drinks. The server apologized but it was just not a good experience

My first time there. I will definitely be back. Food was very tasty and in good sized portions. I had the oxtail pasta, which was really good and great portions. My wife had the skirt steak, which was also amazing and perfectly cooked. We really liked our cocktails as well. The only issue was the uneven service. Our waitress was very nice, but too often we had to look for her. I assume it was due to staffing levels, as she was attentive when we did see her. The restaurant was not full (which was surprising for a gorgeous Saturday evening and the great food) so I am not sure why everything took awhile, including drinks. Considering they charge a 20% gratuity upfront, this was a tad off putting but didn’t ruin the overall experience. I ordered a 2nd cocktail that took so long to come to the table that by the time it was delivered, I didn’t want it anymore, thus a wasted drink. Still, I added an additional gratuity because she was very nice. I will be back, particularly for the food!

This was the most bizarre meal out I've ever had. The food itself was decent and the outdoor setup was good. It was 6 of us adults and 2 kids. The waitress was really nice but our food came out in rounds. First 2 dishes. Then after another 15 minutes another 2 dishes showed up. Some time later, they said they ran out of a second order of biscuits and gravy (this one with pork versus the first one we did receive with chicken). Then another 15 minutes or so for the last entree. We had also asked if it would be possible to order 2 orders of an appetizer from the main menu and the waitress did warn us that it would take a while. So when one order came out after everything, we weren't that surprised. But what was strange is only one order came out. You would think since it was the same dish, both would be out together. Very strange experience. The kitchen needs to get its act together.

The vibe in the restaurant is amazing! I believe they might have been short staffed in the kitchen because we waited over an hour for our appetizer. The waiter did not inform us that there would be a wait, I had to ask her about our food. Once the food came out it was worth the wait but a little communication from the waiter would have been appreciated.

Charm bar has all the potential to be great. Ambiance and vibe was great. The drinks were great. And I really wanted to love this place. The waitress was really friendly . However, we arrived at 7 pm …we waited 45 mins for two fried appetizers. The apps tasted great so we weren’t too upset for waiting. But then by 830 we had still not had our entrees. By 845 we ended up just asking for the bill and gave up on the entrees. Also on a friday night. They need to have more than one waitress. She was taking care of customers inside and outside and had to deal with the fact that the kitchen was backed up which didn’t allow her to be attentive to her guests. She seemed frustrated after a while. She was running all over doing the best she could. She needed more support Overall .. had they had better kitchen staff and more help in front of house. They could have given a better experience. I understand bad nights happen and I will give them another try.

I was looking forward to trying this new restaurant. I have to say the jerk chicken was flavorful and my friends loved the mussels and skirt steak the each had for their entrees. I do have to say I was disappointed in the wait time for our food. We did not order appetizers so we had nothing to munch on while waiting. We sat down at 7:30pm which was our reservation time and the food did not come out until 9:10. Only one of us received their entree and two of us had to wait another 6-7 minutes. We were not told anything about the wait until we asked what was going on. I'm not sure if the kitchen is cooking one table at a time, but the wait time was unacceptable. If they are cooking to order then the patrons should be told this. Trying to give restaurants a bit of grace during this time because they have been hit hard, but....

We went for Saturday brunch and the place was pretty empty. Our drinks were good but the food took a long time to get to our table. About a 45 min wait (generally wouldn’t complain but there was only one other table of two when we arrived ). We had to get ahold of the server anytime we needed anything. When our food finally came the shrimp and grits were cold. My French toast was burnt and the bananas cold. Like they came out in the freezer. Which would be understandable if it was ready in a reasonable time but it still took forever. Overall the drinks were good and they had cheap menu items but the brunch is not good.

Everything we ate was wonderful; the mussels in coconut sauce was our favorite. The staff was friendly and we would definitely recommend this neighborhood gem. We were “charmed!”

This is either my 3rd or 4th time reviewing for this place because everytime I find something else I love about it. Went for brunch, had the chicken and waffles. It was amazing. I’m usually not a thigh person but I completely finished it lol. I’ve had their Wray-Maker a few times but this time was different. The recipe probably changed but I was not disappointed at all. It’s sooooo good. If you love r&b, great food and drinks that do the job, then you should definitely go here.

The restaurant is a small, cozy restaurant located within walking distance of Barclay Center. Made a reservation for 2 for 4:15pm and was seated immediately. The restaurant played nice music but it was too loud for me. Couldn’t really speak to my friend to catch up, but we did enjoy the r&b music.
