The food and staff were both wonderful as always. The management should look into cleaning their ventilation system as the smoke from the frying is very strong and is not only causing lots of coughing and sneezing but also is a health hazard for the staff and customers.
Great location. Pre theatre menu good value. Food disappointing!
We loved the whole experience - plus the delight of having 17 swans floating past our window continuously! The staff could not have been nicer and we were all so very happy
It has been some time since my last and this visit didn’t disappoint. All staff were friendly, chatty and efficient. We really enjoyed our food and wine. Hopefully it won’t be too long until another visit.
1st class booth seats overlooking the canal dock - excellent menu choice!
Great place. Informal, relaxed but still sophisticated with great food and excellent service.
Fantastic dinner, as always, in Charlotte Quay. I've dined here 5/6 times and every time the service, food, setting, and drinks have been wonderful in their own right. A special mention to the absolutely delicious Raspberry Parfait for dessert which was so crisp and wonderful it finished the meal delightfully.
As mentioned I've dined her previously for personal reasons however this was my first professional dinner with my work-team and it was well received by absolutely everyone! (I think more will be back!)
Fabulous hostess. First to arrive. Had a short time only due to our Opera tickets. They made it work for us, table service for 4. I had the Halibut and loved it. We shared a raspberry sorbet and loved it. We will go back again without the kids and enjoy a longer date night out. Romantic and quiet atmosphere. Good music softly played. Very nice.
I booked a table to celebrate my husband’s Birthday on a Friday night and we invited a couple of friends to join us. The problem was half of the table was not hungry enough to eat a main course and only asked for bites/sides. We all asked for more than two drinks each and we spent a bit more than 1 and hour and 30 minutes in the restaurant. But during this time, the waiter asked us 5 times when we’ll be asking for the main course, as we’re there to eat not only drink. He also said if we would like to have drinks, it’d be be better if we had gone to the bar. I said to him it was our first time there so we didn’t know that information and at any point in the reservation someone said we all needed to eat a main course to be there.
But at this point, everybody in the table was very uncomfortable because the waiters couldn’t stop pointing to us.
Besides that, one of our friends, asked for a dessert and he asked to the waiter if it had chocolate (as he is ALLERGIC to chocolate!!) and the waiter said “I don’t know”.
Each of us spent more than 30€ and it’s not a small amount to be treated like this.
The place is very beautiful but the service was awful.
We had the most delicious meal on Friday evening. The service was outstanding and we had the table with a gorgeous view of the canal. Thank you so much for a super experience and we will definitely recommend Charlotte Quay to friends.
Restaurant branché. Cadre et ambiance agréables. Carte simple avec des produits de qualité. Cocktails sympas.
Nice location, especially on a sunny day. Service was attentive and friendly. Menu is good and pretty well executed.
Great food and staff, had a really lovely evening and would 100% recommend, I already have :)
I really enjoyed my meal, the service was great and the food was lovely. I ordered the cod from the pre theatre menu. The cod was delicious, the only suggestion I would have is to add more with it or encourage diners to get a side order. Apart from that everything was great and I’ll definitely be back again
Lovely and ambient restaurant
My only issue was the background music unnecessary, irritating and intrusive
Very very loud.
Charlotte Quay is one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin. On this occasion we went for the early bird menu, which is very good value. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Lovely food , ambiance and very pleasant staff.Great experience, will definitely be back 😀
we met with 3 friends for pre theatre show and menu at 6pm. Met by lovely waitress explained the menu and ordered food and wine. Gorgeous beef cheek starter and fab Sicilian wine, unfortunately the mains didn't arrive till 7pm after explaining show started at 730! The lovely waitress did give us a top up of free wine because of our delay and I must say the Cod was Devine. Pity we had to hurry off as gorgeous place. I will be back again for the 3rd time
We would have preferred a brighter table and did ask. We were given a window table but in a very dark area. The prawn pile piled were really overcooked. We had asked for the minimum butter but it was VERY buttery. Even though the dish was returned only half eaten no one enquired about it. The mains were very good. The scallop starter was find but very overpriced for 3 scallops. The tables in the bright space were still vacant when we left
Food was delicious and had lots of options. Staff were brilliant. Really attentive and pleasant. Beautiful spot for a meal looking out onto the Grand Canal - I will definitely need to visit again.
Wonderful typical Irish pub, everything nice, highly recommend
Food was amazing, so tasty. The service was excellent, our waitress was helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks
We were very highly impressed not only with our meal but the service was excellent as well.
Compliments to the chef's and floor staff.
Excellent service and food.
Very good all round. Would definitely go again.
It is a great place to go for a drink and dinner, you have a nice view over the basin and towards the theatre. Service and food were great, what do you want more?
A wonderful late Saturday afternoon lunch with friends; great table, food, wine & outstanding service! Can't wait to visit again.
From food to ambiance to hotel staff, everything is fabulous in this restaurant.
Every time i visit this restaurant with my wife , staff of this hotel tries their best to make my evening memorable. Special thanks to Anmarie.
As my local "eatery" Charlotte Quay ticks all the boxes. Convenient (and stunning) location, very friendly service, excellent food and good value. Charlotte Quay is the kind of place I enjoy going back to - where there is always a warm welcome.
Amazing guys , food is delicious as well as the view and the environment
It was my partners birthday and we had a lovely time ! The food and service was perfect and I had asked for a birthday dessert and they did not forget ! We will return !
Very good food and service. Slight confusion with the order but dealt with very well by the staff. Great views.
Great atmosphere and amazing staff. The service was really good and they were thoughtful making a surprise when they realized that we’re celebrating my friend’s birthday.
Excellent food(desserts fab) and great location for a pre-theatre bite to eat
lovely restaurant. Staff are so nice, we had a great time
Food was amazing, service was excellent cannot wait to go back again definitely my new favorite restaurant
This is the 2nd time I have eaten here just before a show in the Gaeity. I truly cannot fault the place. The food is excellent the staff are so helpful and courteous and the setting on the Quay, what's not to like. I think I will adopt this place as a regular for me. Just love it.
No real service today, very slow for been the o Kt two in the restaurant. Left sitting for ages, food was slightly incorrect to what we ordered. Which was disappointing as we were the only order in the restaurant at that time.
Lovely view, food was nice a tasty. Service was OK. The only issue was, that even though we ordered from the pre theatre menu, it took about 50 minutes to arrive. This a reservation at 6pm was too late for a 7:30 show.
