Food was excellent and service was great. We believe the selection of seafood dishes is the best on the island.

Our favorite restaurant on the island for consistently great food!

Food is always excellent and a menu with multiple choices of fish with great meet alternatives. Excellent food presentation with perfect portions. Wait staff, nearly all are full time, who know the menu well and can describe preparation, the texture and taste of all offerings. You feel treated like a valued customer and the owner greets you at your table.

Incredible dining experience. Our server, Anthony was great! Our meal, from the escargot to the swordfish to the lamb, was cooked to perfection. A beautiful romantic setting for our anniversary.

Terrific, as always. Service at other restaurants on the island has been sketchy, but Charlie's is always wonderful. The bread pudding wasn't as good as I recall... quite flavorless. But everything else was amazing.

The sea bass and the mahi were fantastic. We also loved the shrimp soup, escargot and the pate.

10/10! I took my family friends who have been coming to HHI for 40 years and they said it was the best meal they have ever had on the island. A great menu with tons of enticing seafood options and plenty for those don’t care for fish. Leave room for dessert.

This is a high-quality restaurant with very good-excellent food, wine, and service. Menu is new daily so you are always assured of getting fresh seafood. One thing we noticed on our last visit that, even though the three of us had different entrees, the vegetable and starch were the same for all dinners.

Went to Charlie's for dinner Monday night, which is 1/2 off bottle of wine night. We have eaten here almost every time we visit HHI and usually the food is excellent. This time it was good but nothing special.
Our food: I had redfish and found it a little fishy tasting. Haven't had it before, so I don't know if that is typical. Everything else on my plate was very tasty. My husband had the halibut and said it was good, not great. I tasted it and found it to be satisfactory but nothing special. Our friend visiting from CA had the Chilean Sea Bass and enjoyed it. The bread was delicious!

The Covid precautions were impressive. Very distanced tables and all staff ore masks.

Absolutely wonderful. Go to restaurant, especially Mondays.

We had a lovely table on the porch and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

We tried to eat at the best restaurants during our long weekend at Hilton Head. Unfortunately, this is the only one that we would include in that list, now having eaten at several. The food was excellent, the ambiance equally pleasant. Would definitely return.

The food was amazing!!! Our server was very knowledgeable and sweet. Our drinks were delivered immediately and the food was served hot!!! Would love to go back.

Have never had a bad meal here. Service is always attentive. Highly recommend any seafood dish when you are here. Desserts were fantastic as well.

As usual, awesome food & service. Not a fan of high top tables in the bar but better than waiting late to eat. We ALWAYS eat here when visiting HHI (3-4 times a year). Highly recommended!

One of our first restaurant meals since Covid. It was a wonderful choice! Everything was 5 star! Michelle waited on us and gave attention to every detail to our dining experience. We will be back in June!
