Somewhat disappointing. Despite numerous vacant tables, the hostess insisted on seating us next another couple. Totally unnecessary as the other tables remained vacant throughout our meal.
We both ordered pork chops prepared identical. They delayed unnecessarily and when presented one was way overcooked to the point of being dried out. The waiter attempted to make amends. Not a great evening.
Great service (our waiter was superbly friendly, upbeat, and knowledgeable).
Outstanding food. Great ambiance and conveniently located. I highly recommend the place for meat and fish lovers, alike!
Started with a martini. Unfortunately they use olives that are in olive oil rather than a brine. This ruins the martini in my opinion. Followed up with a shrimp cocktail that was just great. Split a steak with my wife and it was very good. Got a glass of Pinot that was out of this world good. Concluded with the best creme brûlée ever, which was comped as it was my birthday. All in all a class act.
We were celebrating our anniversary and were staying overnight at the Archer. Charlie Palmer was very convenient. The food was amazing and the wine selection on point. Our bone-in ribeye was delicious. We were also treated to a glass of champagne and dessert to celebrate. Wonderful waitstaff. We will definitely return.
Der Tisch neben der Küche war nicht sehr angenehm. Küchengerüche und dauerndes Laufen der Servicemitarbeiter war etwas störend.

Disappointed unfortunately. Cocktail glasses were on the smaller size. I don't mind paying $20 for a vodka straight, however put it in a decent size martini glass. Bread was not edible, which is unusual in NYC. No typical assortment of interesting breads that you find in other steak houses. The loaded baked potato was good, the brussel sprouts were okay. Salmon entree was excellent. Filet was cooked perfectly, but lacked taste. The sauces provided were not particularly good. The bone in NY strip was also cooked perfectly but lacked much flavor. Raspberry tarte for dessert did not really seem fresh. Sorry-needs improvement all around. However, staff was lovely.
Very attentive. Didn’t have moscato wine that day and “custom made” a glass for me somehow.
Good, but, just being honest, wildly overpriced.
First, Sommelier staff was outstanding. Can’t say enough great things about them. But the rest wasn’t terrific. Fois Gras was actually cold inside on one side, and when I asked the server, he said “it’s good though, right?” Steak was solid as were the sides. Ice cream for dessert ... I should say in advance they did comp, which was kind ... one was beautiful, but the vanilla was sandy. Very bizarre texture. All in all, details were not as I’ve come to expect from this place. Waiter was kind, but not well informed it seemed. Wine service was remarkable.
Wir waren im Zuge unseres NY Sightseeings Besuches in dem Restaurant, da meine Frau Geburtstag hatte und wir ein etwas gehobeneres Restaurant für diesen Anlass wollten. Die Küche ist wirklich sehr empfehlenswert (2x Filet Mignon), die Preis, zumindest für deutsche Verhältnisse doch sehr hoch. Speziell wenn es dann in Richtung Wein geht. Der Kellner hat gleich gemerkt, dass wir doch etwas auf den Preis geachtet haben und glänzte dann überwiegend mit Abwesenheit. Trotzdem war unsere Rechnung (mit Tip) USD 250.-
Das beste aber kam danach - raus aus dem Restaurant und im Foyer direkt hoch in die "Spyglass" Rooftop Bar in den 22. Stock mit Blick auf das Empire State! Preislich setzt sich dass dann dort zwar fort, was im Restaurant begonnen hat aber dann wars auch schon egal - der Ausblick entschädigt dann doch für einiges.
The bread was cold and hard. Butter was cold and hard. If bread isn't usually served with lunch, then why bring out cold hard bread? Spent more than half the lunch swatting at fruit flies.
We stayed at the Archer hotel adjoined to restaurant ... Fillet Mignon was amongst the best we have ever tasted and desserts and wine choice excellent too . We would definitely recommend this restaurant . We sat outside and people watched in the evening XX
I had the “bone on NY Strip” my wife had a filet. Both were outstanding
Great great food .... amazing service ... food came out a bit slow and would not have mattered except w were seeing a show . Can’t wait to get the Mac and cheese again

I had a wonderful experience. Our server Mario was very attentive and engaging. Our meal was delicious and we'll made. The atmosphere was quiet and elegant. Just a great time overall.
Our first time at this Charlie Palmer steakhouse, and very happy. My guests were impressed - aspiring college students who just graduated from college in May and set their eyes on the The Big Apple. Great people, great for, and a vibrant ambience. Charlie's Home Economics teacher would be impressed!
Evan was an amazing waiter. He kept the evening fun, worked with us on the pace, which contributed to an amazing and memorable evening!!
Achingly, unacceptably slow service -- on a Wednesday night with half the tables empty.
Unfortunately, my steak was a bit overdone (which I consider to be a no-no for a high end steakhouse; I would have sent back but we were under time constraint to get to a show so I didn't't think that was an option. I also thought broccolini was undercooked and Brussel sprouts were somewhat bland. I have been to CP steakhouses before and had outstanding meals. This one was a bit of a disappointment...
Had a great time! Food came out in reasonable time, and was up to the typical standard you would expect from a BY Steakhouse.
Recommend the Tuna Tartare for a starter!
I don’t understand why this place has such good reviews. The service was really slow and the food, which looked good based on the menu, was mediocre. Very disappointing.
Everything was fine, except for my steak. It was served barely warm, and it was not a good cut of meat - lots of gristle, which I would not expect in a NY strip. Perhaps this was because it was restaurant week, but I did not order off the restaurant week menu.
Everything was perfect. Service was polite and fast. Food great.
We went for Restaurant Week lunch. The potato and bacon terrine that came with the Hangar steak was not cooked in the middle. On top of that, the restaurant automatically charged 18% for service.
I like the Prime Steak tartare very much ! And good deal for the NY restaurant week lunch menu .
Took a long time (over 10 minutes) before someone came & took our order or even brought water or bread to the table. Appetizers were good, main course ok. Overall, expected better from Charlie Palmer.
This has to be my 3rd or 4th time at Charlie Palmers and they Never disappoint! I will be back I promise whether it’s for dinner or happy hour I am always prepared

Food was delicious. Service was off. There were either too many new employees learning the ropes or the employees were not communicating and were out of sync. Roles, timing and execution should be reviewed and improved for a restaurant of this caliber.
The food is really nice I loved the mushroom sauce under the hanger steak so rich and creamy. The environment is really quiet as well. Enjoyed it
everything seemed good, but just one caveat, they divide dining area by race. Me (work here live here) and my cousin( a US citizen) both of us are Asian, were surrounding by Asian tourists tables, on the other side of the restaurant are Caucasians.

We truly enjoyed the restaurant week special menu for three courses at $42.00. Started with excellent drinks at the bar. Manhattan on the rocks for me and Margarita for my girl. Excellent in every way. Dinner was superb. The hanger steak very flavorful. The risotto was delicious. The Cheesecake was great. Highly recommend and anxious to try the rooftop bar at this upscale property.
I like plamer’s, but the service was poor this time and new location lacks charm. I ordered the restaurant week pros fixe and was told dessert was not included even though I found out after the fact that it was..I think the food is good so I would recommend it for that.
Went for restaurant week. It in a hotel....the service was not as would be expected at a CP property. For what we paid it was OK, but I would go to a "real" steakhouse if thats what I wanted.
Filet mignon for lunch @ $49. All alone. No sides included. Pricey.

Overall a great experience! The new location is lovely, I loved the old location but this one is even better. We dined here for Restaurant week, the food was good and the service fantastic.
We dined here for the first time and was absolutely amazing. We had the smoked Caesar salad which was perfect, not overly smoky- highly recommend. For our entree, I had the bone in ribeye which was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sides we chose were very flavorful. The mac n cheese and asparagus are simply delicious. My husband and I love a good quality steak and we’re very pleased with our meal, we will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant to others. The manager, Enrique and server Francisco truly made our dining experience.
