Amazing food, amazing place
For a really high-end steakhouse, it was just ok. I ordered a filet mignon medium and it came out closer to what I would describe as medium well. Salad was slightly under-dressed for my taste. Tuna tartare starter was fresh but preparation was uninspired. Prices relative to the overall offering are extortionate. We ordered a cocktail each to start, a $90 bottle of wine, two filets, two vegetable sides, two caesar salads and one starter. It came out to around $470 including tip. I'd say it was a net positive experience, however I'll only return if I'm on an expensed dinner for business -- though even then I'd keen to explore other options.
I travel to Las Vegas frequently for business to entertain clients. We normally go to Strip Steak, but this year I decided to try something new.
Charly Palmer was recomended by a colleague of mine so I came in with high expectations. We were greeted by our waiter right away, and he took our drink orders. Drinks took about 15 minutes, and from there the service continued to be slow for the rest of the evening. Waiter was pleasant, not sure if the kitchen was backed up, but a disappointment. Food on the other hand was perfect. Steak cooked to perfection, and loved the lobster fried rice.
Saturday night in Vegas with great friends who were looking for a great steak dinner. We've been to a lot of steak houses up and down the strip but never have found anything that we had to go back and try again. So we decided to try Charlie Palmer's, and I'm happy to say we chose well! Ordered the "cut of the week" prix- fixe dinner that is not on the menu, so you have to ask for it. Frisée Salad with blue cheese and apples, petite filet steak (which was NOT petite at all!) cooked to perfection plus 2 family style sides of whipped potatoes and sautéed butter mushrooms, and strawberry cheesecake for dessert! Service was amazing, the atmosphere was cool and an overall great meal! We will be back again!!
Nice place/great servers. It was very empty for a Saturday.
Tough steaks-used to be a lot better meat quality. Maybe that's why it was empty?
Too bad. Being a Shareholder of this company-it is being followed up on.
Hopefully in the future the meat quality improves.
Dinner was great! Food was delicious. Drinks weren’t as good. Margarita wasn’t drinkable. Bad sour mix.
Manager Philip was unhelpful and a jerk. Won’t be coming back.
The three course meal is amazing!
Food is always delicious and well prepared. Service is always outstanding. A fine restaurant worth visiting often.
Group of 4. Business dinner. Quiet, easy to have a business discussion. Fillet was excellent, appetizers were limited. Wine list was a bit complex.
We had a really nice meal, not over the top. Our Uber driver suggested the “Cut of the week” which is a 3 course meal with wine pairings for the salad and main dish. The dessert wine cost extra. Service was okay, not exceptional. The meal was not on the menu, nor did they suggest it. I had to ask The server about it. Then I saw that all the tables around us ordered the same dinner. I would go back again because I thought that the meal was a decent price.
Unsure what happened with our party but the food was horrendously poor. Ordered a rob-eye and lobster. The rib-eye was so fat I couldn't finish my steak; steak = meat. The lobster was tasty but cold. The waiter offered to replace it and promptly brought out a hot lobster. Unfortunately the meat was chewy and overcooked - probably microwaved - and with a lack of flavor. We were anticipating this meal for weeks. I won't return to Charlie Palmer Steakhouse, especially when the meal was well over $200 with one drink each.
Aleaysga great meal coupled with fine service. COTW menu was well prepared, delicious, and paired with very good wines.
My husband and I dined at Charlie Palmer Steak House on New Years Eve. I was surprised by and disappointed to only have the option of a price-fixed menu. The food tasted mass-produced like at a banquet meal as opposed to fine dining. I would have preferred to select my meal from a full menu. I will not visit the restaurant again as the food quality was disappointing regardless of the ambiance and fine service.
This was our second New Years here and it was just as wonderful as last year!! Will return soon I’m sure!!!
Anniversary Dinner. Everything was perfect. They even brought out ice cream and cake to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We will be back.
Been here many times, and it never disappoints. Food is always outstanding, and service is usually appropriately attentive, though our server this time seemed to have too many tables, as we did have some lengthy waiting times. Atmosphere is very nice too, we will be back again in the future.
Excellent, outstanding, great! We had great food, will go there again!
Fixed menu for New Years, Steak was well done, so when your eating a well-done filet, kinda ruins the entire dinner, especially if you are eating at a restaurant that specializes in steak, no thanks.
We loved this place! Food was awesome, and the experience was awesome!
Celebrated New Years 2019. I was very happy with the service and quality of the food. If you want a awesome steak, then this is the place. A++++
Cut of the week special is an amazing deal! 3 course meal with wine pairings. Excellent food, excellent wine and excellent service. What more could anyone ask?
First time visiting this restaurant. It was a wonderful dining experience. We’ll definitely come here every time we’re in Vegas.
Great cut of the week special! Great service!
One of the best steaks I have ever had!! Staff wonderful! Highly recommended!
Ask for the “cut of the week” menu. $58 includes unlimited white and red wine, salad, steak, 2 sides as well as dessert. Really good and reasonably priced at Charlie Palmer.
Their Cut of the Week menu is a terrific value. Great for groups!
We both loved the food as we have been having a string of bad luck lately with Filet Mignon and it was prepared perfectly. Best place to go in Las Vegas for a nice steak dinner that is classy.
We’ve dined at Charlie Palmer many times but this last experience was terrible. We had the special menu with a fixed price for a 3 course meal and the steak was horrible, fatty, chewey and awful. Not what I’d expect from this restaurant. The wine was served from a magnum bottle that was almost empty every time the waiter came to serve it. He never showed the label and because of the magnum bottle and nearly empty each time it proved how cheap the wine was. Lastly the dessert was so bad, Nutella cream brûlée, we each took one bite of our dessert and pushed it aside. It was like they were old and stale. The experience turned us off so much so we don’t ever plan on going back. Again, we have dined there many times but this is not an experience we ever want to have again.
We always enjoy Charlie Palmer's restaurant. The food is great, the wines are wonderful, the ambiance can't be beat. The staff is the best and we are always treated royally. It's a place where a patron can feel very special. The chef is superb and makes vegetables in a way that even my carnivore/ dessertivore husband will eat them and have second and third helpings. We'll be back.
Food was outstanding. We arrived a 5 pm and my husband and I were only ones in Restaurant- shortly on more couple arrived. Sad. Place was empty. ;(. Felt badly for waiters.
Charlie palmers is our go to place. Luckily it wasn't all that busy so not noisy except for the bar radio which was blaring . I don't know who the bartender thought he was entertaining but the sounds were very loud in the dining room. But the food was terrific and just as good the next day. A total secret here. Friends went the next night and they loved it.
It is over evaluated. Too expensive for the food quality.
Get the cut of the week. It is a good deal. it was nice.
At the very least would have expected the waiter to clean the table cloth after the plates were cleared. A small portion desert would have been nice.
WE WERE SEATED AND GREETED PROMPTLY. OUR WAITER WAS IN A HURRY. VERY ANXIOUS FOR US TO ORDER. WE HAD ORDERED COCKTAILS.. HE CAME BY TWICE TO TAKE OUR ORDER BEFORE WE HAD OUR DRINKS. I HAD TO SAY THAT WE WOULD LIKE OUR COCKTAILS BEFORE DINNER.. WHEN THE DRINKS WERE DELIVERED, HE WANTED TO TAKE OUR ORDER THEN.. I SAID.'WE'RE NOT IN A HURRY TONIGHT- CAN WE SIP OUR COCKTAILS FOR A BIT'
WE HAD THE VEGAS SPECIAL CALLED ' CUT OF THE WEEK'..IT WAS OKAY.. WAITER SEEMED DISAPPOINTED WE WERE ORDERING THAT AS IT'S NOT A REAL PRICEY CHOICE. WE ARE LOCALS.. NO NEED FOR US TO GO BACK THERE.. A SERVER CAN MAKE OR BREAK YOU EVENING EVEN IF THE MEAL IS JUST OKAY.
Went twice in December and the food was horrible. Tried the steak the first time and was loaded with gristle. Tried the salmon and it was not cooked even though I asked for it to be cooked through. A friend had the steak and again it was gristly and she couldn't eat it. Another had the chicken and said it also was bad. Canceled my reservation to go a third time. Very disappointed with the food!!!!!!!!
Impeccable service. Immediate seating and the food and wine were great
Service was excellent! Ambience perfect. Only disappointment was my rib eye steak was very grissly & fat...truly a poor cut. When a restaurant is suppose to have great steaks I was very dissappointed. My 3 companions all enjoyed good meals
