Loved the food although it was quite noisy so it was difficult to have a conversation. My steak was fabulous and my husband enjoyed the scallops very much. Will love to go again when we are in DC.

Fantastic food and service.
The restaurant is beautiful! Very trendy and at the same time very comfortable. Most steak houses are dark and a bit claustrophobic, but this restaurant is open, warm lighting and quite energetic. The service was impeccable, but not stuffy! The servers are friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and offered great suggestions. The grilled Spanish octopus was awesome. The Hamachi appetizer was a bit odd for us. Somehow, we couldn’t appreciate the taste of the fresh fish with strawberries. We liked that they had 1/2 size entrees and the rib eye steak was great. For dessert, we shared the assorted sorbets and custards. This was a perfect dessert for a hot, humid day and light enough after a heavy meal.
My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves. The service was great. The food was excellent. We will definitely come back.
Celebrating a graduation...they brought a complementary champagne toast and a dessert for the graduate...very nice evening.
We enjoyed a great date night. Daniel was attentive but not intrusive. Everyone worked together seamlessly to deliver a delicious experience. Ordered the 42 oz 29 day aged ribeye and next want to try the filet. See you all soon. Thanks. Maria

Great location, great food, service was a little off that night. We got forgotten a little bit and didn’t feel like we got a “fine dining experience” (my gf used to be a server). Either way I’d go back for sure.
As the only non-steak eater in our party, I ordered the swordfish on the recommendation of the server. It was a great looking portion with excellent garlic & lemon risotto and morels. Unfortunately the swordfish was a bit overcooked but good nonetheless. I did mention this to the hostess upon leaving the restaurant and she promised to let the kitchen know. The steak eaters in our group were very pleased with their choices.
The ambiance was terrific. Once you enter you know you are in a special restaurant. The service was spectacular-very attentive. The meals were served timely and all at once the way it is supposed to be served. The only suggestion I would make is that they need to have a bit more wines in the moderate price range.
Great service. Wait staff was superb. Food surpassed expectations.

We had a table outside on a lovely DC night. Much noisier inside. Lamar provided EXCELLENT service and really made us feel welcome and special guests. Food was terrific, too.
Experience overall was average. Even thout we did get a complimentary dessert for our anniversary, it was never acknowledge nor we receive any kind of greeting or congratulations from the server even thou that in the notes in my reservation I stated that it was our Anniversary. it was only after I mentioned it that they acknowledge it. Food average, good not great. server was somewhat attentive yet they did not make you feel special in comparison to other steakhouse.
Food is good but service is incredibly slow for a restaurant of that caliber. It took 45 mn just to get a drink.
Great restaurant overall. The staff could be a tad bit more attentive and more polished but wonder dining experience. The food was delicious and price comparable to most restaurants of its stature.

From the warm greeting by the hostess Gelizbeth to the fantastic service from our waiter Gustavo and all other servers, to the complimentary glass of champagne for our anniversary we knew we had selected a good dining spot. Then the food- complimentary shrimp ceviche, colossal shrimp cocktail, steaks and dessert to die for! Our dessert plate was garnished with Happy Anniversary in drizzled chocolate! Wonderful experience- highly recommend and will definitely return!

Though tasty, the main plate's presentation (we both had filet mignons) was unappealing: steak was gray, decorated with one cooked shallot. Gray and purple are the colors of a bruise, and were kinda revolting-looking.
Service was mediocre at best; dishes and drinks were presented to the wrong diner.

The food was good, but the bartender ignored my husband while we were waiting at the bar for our table and even after he ordered, he didn't get his drink for another five minutes. He took other orders and filled them from other patrons and even cleaned and stocked before coming back and making his drink. If it had been busier, we wouldn't have minded, but as it wasn't it was very insulting.
Steak was a filet and supposed to be medium rare. It was rare, cold and dry.
All the rest (salad, crab, dessert, sides and cappuccino were superb. Ambiance was over the top good.
We will give you another chance sometime.
The food was really lovely. The steak perfectly cooked . Staff were very attentive without being too much so. It was a little cold in the restaurant
GORGEOUS RESTARANT WITH A SPECTACULAR WINE CELLAR.VERY MODERN AND VERY NICE.THE ONLY THING WAS THAT THE SERVICE TOOK A LITTLE LONG BETWEEN COURSES BUT THEY TOLD US THAT THERE WAS TOO MANY CUSTOMERS.THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT.

I truly cannot say enough about the extraordinary service and graciousness of the team here at Charlie Palmer Steak. We were celebrating my brother’s PhD graduation from Georgetown, but we aren’t the powerful lobbyists and legislators usually in this restaurant. Still we were greeted as VIPs and brought complimentary champagne and dessert. My brother felt so special, my parents were delighted, and the whole family had a happy time. It was extremely memorable. We can’t thank you enough!

The meal was delicious. The service was excellent. The ambiance was very comfortable and not noisy, and the experience was amazing. This is a definition of fine dining, and it is pricey. You won't be disappointed.
Good service and excellent food. The best part about this restaurant is that customers are allowed to bring one to two bottles of their own American wine to enjoy with no corkage fee. We still end up buying more from the restaurant, but it is nice to be allowed this benefit. Keep it up Charlie Palmer Steak!!
Food was good but the wait staff must have taken intermittent naps. It took four of us more than three hours to complete meal.
As always, Charlie Palmer does not disappoint. The food is excellent and we enjoy the separate sides as well as the generous portions. I had the filet mignon with the addition of foie gras and it was perfectly prepared and mouth-watering delicious. We always enjoy several courses with the appetizers being a favorite. The chef always has some classic as well as some unique offerings that are a delight to the eye and palate. We began with a chilled seafood platter that was fresh, delicious and again featured generous servings of oysters, crab, lobster.
The staff are exceptionally pleasant, courteous and more than competent. I always enjoy discussing wine and cocktail options as well. One of my very favorite restaurants in DC - or any city actually - and that is saying something as DC is a foodie paradise.

Mac and cheese was completely tasteless. Steak was good with apple horseradish sauce, but I ordered a medium rare and got medium-well (no pink). Bill wasn’t correct either. Not the kind of experience you expect from this level of steakhouse.
