Came in for the Monday Napa Locals night dinner because of the meal that was posted on the internet for this week. Sat down at the table and the menu was totally changed. Did not like the switch on the menu from lobster to game hen. Service was great, and food was good, but not what we were looking for.

Charlie Palmer's Steakhouse Monday Night Special is the best deal in town! Three courses for $55 per person and a nice wine pairing available if you want to go that route. Our service was spectacular and food absolutely delicious! The crudite salad was so fresh the vegetables had to have been picked that morning. I am super picky and they cooked my steak to perfection and the sauce that came with it yummy. We very much enjoyed our experience and look forward to going back!

Had filets asked for med rare came out med to med well. Should’ve sent back but had long day doing wineries. Salad and crudite very good, Brussels sprout as a side ok. Definitely not a top steak house in Napa.

Overall, we had a good experience. We sat at a table for two which was terrible! Way to small for the size of the plates, glassware, side dishes etc. Both of our meals were as described and we enjoyed them. It's an expensive restaurant which we knew. Service was efficient but our server had no personality, she did nothing to engage us, no eye contact, all business. Service is what can make a visit fun or just a dinner. Just a little tweaking to make the guests feel welcome might be indicated for our particular server. And please, don't make people sit at those little cocktail tables for a meal!

We dined at Charlie Palmer on Father’s Day, June 15, 2025. The food that we ordered was very tough and tasted very bad. I have been ordering the same steak at so many restaurants and I have not been eaten anything like this. I will definitely not eat at this restaurant.

This is going to sound ridiculous but concerning the service...We went early for dinner 5:30 on a Friday night. There was NO ONE other then us in the dining room. Our server was way to much! We couldn't have a conversation more then 3 minutes and she was there. Asking us what we did for the day. Asking my husband what kind of trouble he was going to get into tomorrow. She stood at the table and said she was going to wait for all of us to take our first bite of our food, and she literally DID. It became all a bit creepy. We were seated right next to the window which normally would have been nice but it was the only table with the sun glaring through the window coverings. My friend didn't want to be an issue and change tables, but I'm pretty sure she was sunburnt on half her face. Now to the food...We are tomahawk steak coinsures . The tomahawk was advertised as "mini", which I thought was funny. It was not. This was not a Tomahawk, It was a regular bone in ribeye. No Fred Flintstone bone, just a regular bone... For 185 dollars I want a BIG steak with a big bone. The halibut was VERY small, maybe 4 bites. The potatoes were delicious and the wedge salad was also very good. I don't normally review restaurants, but when your paying 600 dollars for a meal and tip, I truly believe you should walk out with NO complaints. I'll stick with Coles Chop House from now on

Not what we were expecting - overall a bit of a let down. For the price, the steaks didn’t measure up - they were dry. Took a long time for our salads and soups to arrive. Our server was apologetic and said they were having issues in the kitchen. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience, it just wasn’t great.

DELICIOUS, reasonable and plentiful breakfast sandwich & potatoes! Hubby had a waffle that he loved. Lovely service and atmosphere. Hubby also enjoyed the Bloody Mary.

We had been to Charlie Palmer once before. We sat at the bar and had the Lamb Lollypop appetizer. It was so good that we said we must return soon for dinner. We came for dinner last night. It was in a word, average…at best. This time the Lamb was overcooked. I had the Pork Chop, which to my dismay, came out sliced. It’s ok to pre-slice a steak. However, I’ve never seen that done to a Pork Chop. It caused the pork to be on the dry side as well. Also, both dishes were covered in a sauce that would have better been served on the side. The service was good, but overall, a lack luster performance. We will not be back.
