   5.3.25 We've dined at Charley's several times and enjoyed it, but today was very different. Everything about the experience was unpleasant. We were seated upon arrival at a table next to a party of 24. When I asked to have the table changed, by the time the waitress gathered up the menus, two other tables that were further from the large group were taken. The meal was completely inedible. I ordered the lemon chicken with lemon potatoes. I couldn't slice the lemon chicken even with a huge steak knife, because it was so dry and leathery. The potatoes had obviously been cooked a very long time before and had just been reheated because they were dry and crumbled on the inside. After dinner, we ordered a decaffeinated tea for me and regular coffee for the rest of the table. I emphasized to the waitress that I was not able to have caffeine and asked her to make sure that the tea was decaffeinated. Well, you guessed it, she served me regular black tea and I didn't notice until it was nearly all finished. When I brought it to the attention of the server, she became visibly annoyed with me! The waitress then ignored our table, and no matter how many times we tried to flag her to get the bill, she turned her head and pretended not to see us. We had to get up and ask the hostess to get the bill for us. What a lousy experience! Won't be back...

   Lovely day to be out on the porch. Party of 6. Service by Amy was impeccable- she took great care of us! I thought the beet salad would come with greens but it did not. So very nicely presented, though. The cheeseburger was delicious! Greek salad was scrumptious. One of our party ordered lemon potatoes. Unfortunately they were a bit too crispy. The french fries are absolutely delicious! Overall, a good experience. We will return!

   Reservation was kept, seated very quickly. Ambience was beautiful and food absolutely delicious! We can’t wait to go back!

   Hamburger special offers good value. Was put off by the 2 t.vs showing offensive Fox news political stories with scrolling banners so you were bombarded even with the sound off Best to not take sides in a public business!

   First time here and everything was delicious. We had the Greek salad, Brussels sprouts and bacon wrapped jalapeños for appetizers and they were all very good. Then we had the salmon, pork chop Murphy, chicken fracaise and crab stuffed flounder, also delicious!! Desserts and drinks didn’t disappoint either.

   We were there for Jersey Shore Restaurant Week. It's a great value. The food was great. We had the stuffed flounder and the salmon. And the service was great.

   Best restaurant week special. Food was excellent. Large portions. Brussels sprouts and calamari appetizers were a big hit. Pork chop, chicken francaise, and stuffed flounder entrees were of top quality. Toll house pie with ice cream was a sure winner. We all needed doggie bags. This restaurant is a sure keeper,

   My wife and I booked a reservation at this restaurant at the last minute for our valentines dinner. The food and service was excellent. We also was surprised to see live music which was an added treat. I look forward on going back in the summer 🙂.

    Enjoyable Valentine’s Day dinner. My wife and I both chose prix-fixe menu with appetizer, entree and desert. I tried the Peruvian Calamari with sauce on the side (waitress said it’s spicy) and my wife has lobster bisque. For entrees, stuffed flounder with crab meat and wild rice and salmon with asparagus in parchment paper and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious and filling, so that we both took our cheesecake boxed for home. We have been to Charley’s several times but never on Friday evening (live music every Friday) where the band Danjo’s added to the atmosphere. We’ll be back.
