Charleston's Restaurant - Mesa
This place seems always to be busy. We like the menu and the food is great. Their light and airy croissants are amazing! I loved their champagne chicken salad. Every bite was wonderful. Hubby liked his pork chops. Drinks are good. Service is good. Atmosphere is pleasing. Parking handy. Hostesses look sharp and are on top of things. Loved it!
Delicious meal. Quick service for a boat Saturday night. Our server was proficient and very professional but not too friendly nor engaging. Always consistent quality which we appreciate.
The experience was good overall, with one big exception. One guest has an allergy and asked for gluten free, no flour. Her meal came mixed with pasta. We had to look for a server as no one came back to check on the meals. Finally a manager came and offered a new meal and revoked the charge for this person's meal. But it took a long time for the new meal to arrive and by then the rest of us had pretty much finished eating. Very frustrating!
Had a great server, Raven! She was attentive & delightful personality. Ambiance & food were amazing.
Best tasting food and it is beautiful to look at; all staff super friendly - an extremely pleasant and relaxing experience!
Excellent service with excellent choices on the menue. The prime rib is the best in town.
Always an excellent place to dine for any occassion. Food and service are consistently superb!
Our waitress, Melanie, did an outstanding job. She was very attentive and personable. We really enjoyed her. One of our favorite spots. Thank you for the lovely evening!
Six of my family members dined at the Charleston’s in Mesa for a birthday dinner. Ambiance is romantic, low lighting, dark tables. Staff was very nice, we felt taken care of. All meals ordered tasted great, and I would highly recommend the filet-tender, flavorful, and delicious. My brother had the prime rib, which was cooked perfectly. An odd item on the menu were the enchiladas, my husband ordered them, and he said they were great. When I come back to visit, I definitely will choose Charleston’s!
Our family dines out for New Year’s Day. The food and atmosphere were very good and prices were decent for the food. The alcohol was a bit high at over $45 for 4 beers. The service was cordial but slow. The first check we were given was incorrect and when we sent it back to be corrected, they brought us back the wrong check.
Have eaten at a hand full of Charleston's Restaurant over the years. Mesa is our favorite, have taken a hand full of friends that now go. .
This location always does a great job. Everyone is friendly and the food always comes out perfectly. When we were there, a group was being quite loud and using obscene language. We spoke with our waitress to complain since we had small children with us. She quickly notified the manager, who then observed the group and said something to them. They did quiet down and thankfully left shortly thereafter. The manager came over to inform us what he did and to make sure we were happy with the outcome. He also apologized that we had to experience that. I like restaurant managers who are not afraid to confront a problem like that.
We were seated early - treated great throughout the experience and the food was outstanding. Keep up the good work.
New Years Eve celebrating with family. Our waitress and our food was spot on! We love Charleston’s!!
Good but not great. Brussel sprout side dish are steamed in a weird butter sauce, not caramelized like most steakhouses do it. Spaghetti squash side dish was also drenched in butter. Double pork chops were good but sirloin steak had an overwhelming (fake?) smoke taste. Sorry, not my favorite place for this type of cuisine. Would prefer Bobby Q or even Texas Roadhouse.
New years eve so noise level was higher than normal as the place was packed to the hilt. The service was still fantastic as was the food. I have been here many times and never disappointed. Management has their act together as well as the servers.
The service and the quality of the food was excellent as always in the past. It is our go to restaurant when ever we want a nice relaxing well prepared meal. Throughout the years we have not been disappointed.
Have come here for the past 4 years during the holidays. They have always been accommodating - the food is great and the wait staff is very friendly. Hopefully will be coming back for many more holiday family dinners.
Limited menu, drinks quality poor,noise
Too loud. Not for a large group sitting was too tight.
Excellent dinning great atmosphere
Everything was great except it was very noisy. The place was packed so I guess that is to be expected. My husband and I had a hard time hearing each other.
Everything was perfect Nicole did a marvelous job. We will continue to go there for years to come.
We had a 5:15 reservation, we arrived at 5 and they Sat us directly to our table. This was on a Busy Saturday night. They had plenty of wait staff to more than cover the tables. Our Server was very polite and attentive. Food was received quickly and done to the requested taste. Dinner salad was large and our server even split the salad for us with out asking, after hearing us discuss that my wife could not eat an entire salad herself. The only issue we had, not a big deal, was I had notated on the open door that we were celebrating my wife's birthday and the resturant did not know it ahead of time. But they did provide a nice little treat for her when I mentioned it. I would love to go back and we will if we have something happening in the east valley. It is just such a far drive from Goodyear (takes an hour) that is does not make sense just to go for dinner.
Excellent service and food. The noise problem was caused by a group at another table. I’ve been there before and highly recommend it.
I would give Charleston’s five stars overall. However, I made reservations for my Mother’s 80th Birthday and noted the special occasion on the reservation. Nobody at the restaurant acknowledged it. Then the waiter refused to let us sit in a larger booth even though we had several elderly people in the group who needed additional room. Other groups of four were sat at the larger booths and one booth and table was open the whole time we were there. Not very accommodating!
The food was excellent. Our waitress Alicia was awesome!
Waitress did order wrong. Didn’t check back with us. Had to flag her down to order, she and 2 others were on their phones by kitchen area.
Server was very nice. I ordered my usual margarita on the rocks w/salt and it was awful. She immediately returned it for another and didn't charge me for it. Food is always excellent.
We've always have great food here, until last night. We were celebrating a birthday, unfortunately, the prime rib was very "chewy", I was so disappointed. Service was great. It was so loud, it was difficult to have a conversation.
Awesome like always!
Wow! Charleston's had great food and even better service! Our server, Jamie, was very helpful in every way. She answered all our questions and helped us with options. She was very friendly and helpful, and even paid for our desserts! One of the meals was not quite warm enough, and they completely remade the dish for us. The manager even came out to make sure everything was okay. The booths have enough substance that we could have a comfortable conversation without yelling, even though the restaurant was full, and the music was a pleasant background, rather than overpowering it. Would recommend absolutely!
Love Charleston’s!! Amazing flat bread for app, and steak and mashed potatoes for the win!
Excellent food especially the French Dip. It does get quite noisy some sound absorbing materials would help. It gets so loud it is har to hear across the table.
Wife’s birthday. Really great meal
Food was made incorrectly. Remade food was still incorrect.
Food was excellent and service was great, too!
Excellent restaurant with great prime rib and super service. Place to go for an excellent meal.
Thanksgiving with family
Excellent food and great service.
We were celebrating my mother’s birthday. We’ve celebrated there a few times before since they have her most favorite ribs. She’s always gotten a small dessert with a happy birthday song. Not this time. Price of ribs went up $ ?! in a year? Mmmmk. My chicken was poorly seasoned. The catfish breading was stiff and overly crunchy in a stale way. Worst part was them not having bread pudding on the menu anymore. I almost cried. The entire table wanted that for dessert. I will say the service was fantastic. Our waitress was super nice, attentive and always had a smile. The ambiance was nice. We always enjoy the dark moody lighting there.
