Poor service, one server taking care of a full patio on a Saturday night. One manager working who couldn't care less, his cell phone on ring causing a constant disturbance to the customer experience. The busser had more ownership than the server and manager combined. He pre-bussed our table, checked for our cocktails (since we had food before they arrived) and he helped out with backfilling napkins and silverware. Server never returned to ask how our meal was, didn't offer dessert even though I'd made a reservation noting a birthday celebration. We ended up getting dessert elsewhere, which was upsetting since the food itself was amazing. Online menu was large and full of options but upon arrival we noticed a very small list of options and server pointed out it was their "covid options" which was consistent with the amount of verbal excuses he defended himself with. We won't return, sad too that chef should work somewhere with less operational issues.
The service was terrible, sat 10 minutes before being acknowledged. We had to keep stopping passing staff to get menus, drinks, check. Very disappointing!!
Red necks screaming at the bar, using the ''f word every other sentence, sent some diners out the door. we unfortunately remained to hear screaming laughter that went on for almost an hour. I had 'the wedge' and it was made with OLD lettuce that was yellow. Won't go back as our bill for 3 people was over $150.00 and we did not have excess liquor. Ambiance was horrible and value for money, inspite of wonderful view was not worth it.
It was great good food but the only thing that made this experience not a 5 star is that there was no cornbread
Our meal choices included crab cakes and the salmon which we enjoyed but expensive. We would not consider this restaurant to be "fine dining" however. The view is wonderful, oh, but those chairs are awful and were uncomfortable, especially for a guest with back issues.
Awesome food, awesome staff. We brought our twin boys here, and the staff was great to them. Beautiful views!
Amazing food and hospitality! The views were iconic!
Food was great as well as service
Excellent food; service. Ambience is nice. I had the scallops and they were very good.
Two of us had ordered seafood ravioli and honestly it was awful. The ravioli itself was stale and the inside was hard as if it had been over cooked and reheated. Neither of us ate any of it. A third member had ordered a steak with all sauces on side. It came out cold with everything on top of it. 4th member was very happy with his plain steak.
Great view of Yorktown battleship and bridge even though it was a cloudy, rainy afternoon. We had the fried shrimo as recommended by the server. It was served hot and was great. Wonderful way to start a visit to Patriot Point.
Quick and extremely friendly service. Delicious food.
Danielle customer service skill set is the best I have had in a very long time. She made our experience worth while returning from Charlotte, NC. I will specifically ask for her if we can and she is available.
Went at 1, lunch menu is lacking variety. No seafood platters with fish, shrimp, oysters, etc
Skyler was a great server and the bartender was great also. It was quiet but the food and service were great. Thank you for a nice out with friends and family.
Food was good but not special. Very disappointed in southern pecan pie, it could have come from freezer section at local grocery store
Live locally I am often asked how is it there for dinner, so went there to try it out. The location is inviting and the staff are friendly. However, I found the food to be average at best and very overpriced. The old fashioned cocktail was very good, the she crab soup was very average and was served luke warm. The crab cakes were said to be lump, but they were really back fun crab meat sitting on top of average cheesy grits and a few pieces of nicely grilled asparagus. Did not have desert, can’t comment. For dinner we ordered a bottle of wine of the month which was advertised at $18, when the check arrived we were being charged $28 which we brought to the server’s attention for correction. The check was corrected and we were told the computer had it wrong and needs to be corrected, but given this was the middle of the month it made me wonder how long this has been known and how many bottles were sold at the mistaken price. Two cocktails, two appetizers, two entrees and a bottle of $18 wine, our bill was $140 which was way overpriced for the overall quality of the meal. Knowing there are much better restaurants in the area I could not recommend this place at that price.
Good food, atmosphere and service. Great view of the water.
Worst experience I’ve had a Charleston a Restaurant the Menu doesn’t match the open table I requested certain items was told it was unable it is a seafood restaurant with no seafood manager was unfriendly didn’t care told us to find a different restaurant in Mount Pleasant to go to we wanted more items
New Year's Eve dinner during covid so cannot be too harsh....Food was excellent and location is great, service was OK, they were out of a few items and there wasn't a drink list. Overall, I would recommend but it's definitely a casual spot and probably better during the daytime to enjoy the view.
The item ordered was prepared differently than the menu said it was. Which was a problem as it made the food become allergic to a member of the party.
The company did fix it, but it took a while, I am assuming it was not first on the agenda for the kitchen staff afterwards.
I was expecting the full menu as it is in the website, so I made reservations based on what I saw online. Upon being seated, I noticed that the menu was modified to reflect a limited amount of choices which made it more difficult to find entrees that the whole family would enjoy. I’m pretty certain it was due to Covid, but the waitress couldn’t tell us. However, the food was great and we had a pleasant experience.
Lovely seafood restaurant. We ate Christmas dinner and had the sweetest server.
Dinner was wonderful.
The food was excellent! I had calamari and the scallops entree. The view overlooking the harbour was beautiful. It was on Christmas day, so the small staff was really multi-tasking. She sometimes forgot the our table.
Our food was very good and our server Isabelle was excellent and very attentive.
It was a very nice experience- Christmas Day Lunch. Our server was fun and our reservation was perfect.
Holiday getaway
Amazing meal. Attentive staff! Great views! Wonderful evening.
Excellant location, food and service. Would highly recommend
Booked a reservation just an hour before my date and was sat right next to a beautiful fireplace and a window. Service was excellent and the food... pricey yes, but the salmon was definitely worth it.
When we arrived for our reservation at 7:00pm on Sunday, December 13, 2020, as confirmed in the reservation, we were very surprised to find the restaurant closed and dark. We found that they had established a new schedule of being open for dinner on only Tuesday-Saturday evenings. This was very embarrassing, as we had invited guests to dine with us, and we were all from out of town. We had to locate another restaurant at the last minute. Neither the restaurant’s website nor Open Table had accurate information about new hours of operation. This needs to be corrected ASAP!
I took my husband for his birthday. They sat us next to the fireplace overlooking the harbor. Our server was awesome and the food was delicious. It was perfect.
Very clean restaurant with great service. I would have added more stars but the portions were small for the price.
Thanksgiving dinner
It was a beautiful night to watch the sunset over Charleston. The bartender, Chip was the best and our waitress was as well. Prime rib was a little tough, but the scallops were wonderful.
First this is a very scenic restaurant with the main dining area bring open with screens. Provides and open air feeling. The upstairs has a bar with beautiful scenes of the River and The USS Yorktown at Patriots Point. Tables are spaced out, too. Impressive with the cleanliness, the setting, the view, the staff and the food. The Grouper was great, crab cake a hit, the Turkey Dinners for Thanksgiving were very good. A different Thanksgiving for our family but very good food and setting. Easy to get to from Charleston Historic District and on Patriots Point. Easy to recommend to visitors.
My husband & I had a wonderful experience. The food was outstanding & the service was great!
Great food and service but not quite the night water experience I was hoping for
The lunch menu was very small and limited. Would not recommend unless you want to try dinner. Food was good but they didn’t have much to offer for lunch.
The seafood is fresh, prepared and served well. The view is outstanding.
