The food was good, but we had better for less $$ during our trip to Charleston.
Had the Thanksgiving Day meal and it was average. The pumpkin pie was not good. It seemed as though they microwaved it and then topped it with caramel sauce instead of whipped cream. Maybe their regular menu is better
Food came out too fast. Appetizers before drinks. Food was so so. Service was good
Very nice place. Went for Thanksgiving lunch, a bit pricey for the amount served, but the food was delicious.
Started out on bad note just trying to make reservations a week ahead -had to call about 4 times & a total of 4 days to reach anyone. Same thing happened when we wanted to add 2 more to our reservation. Upon arriving day of reservation, they didn’t have table ready & it was in the outdoor section & not real nice. Food was ok & not hot. Had to send it back. Very disappointed.
very good menu
We’ve been to the Fish House several times. The food and service are always good. We’ve recommended it to others and have taken guests there.
Last night we had the worst service. The waiter was inattentive and a little impolite.
Additionally, when my wife asked to sub something for the fries, he tried to tell us that he was unable due to Covid. Not sure how putting vegetables on a plate instead of fries furthers the spread of a virus…admittedly, I’m not a trained virologist though.
We were very impressed with our server, Shannon. Very cordial and welcoming and gave great recommendations for our meal. Everything was well prepared and presented. Look forward to going back again soon!
Hostess and server are in the wrong job,not people friendly
Interesting menu. Would have loved some green vegetables. The catfish served on grits was in need of salt and pepper and there was too much ham broth. The swordfish special with pumpkin purée was excellent. She-crab soup was warm and creamy but I couldn’t taste crab in it. Excellent key lime pie! Good service. Nice view of the USS YORKTOWN.
Leave the resort area for the better food in Charleston.
Disappointed in every aspect of this dining experience; it was slow this evening and we found the service, the menu and the service to be disappointing.
The staff did not provide a parking voucher to exit and it took an additional 20-30' to get o our way, having been unable to exit the gated lot.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Amazing food!
Went on a Sunday, so they had a brunch menu. Limited selection. My fish was ok
My wife had waffles and fried chicken. Waffles were stale! Chicken overcooked
Beautiful view looking at the marsh and the Battleship/ boats
Will try again, but not on a Sunday. Primarily for the view!
Too much fried food on the menu. Service was slow.
Stellar Location and Ambiance
Superior Customer Service from knowledgeable, extremely friendly, fun, and engaged staff
Great selection from the bar, served with personality and humor, evoking a sense of that 'great neighborhood bar' where everybody knows your name. Outstanding!
Thoroughly enjoyed my time at the restaurant. Low key, relaxed atmosphere, room to move around, attentive staff and really good food. A place I will enjoy visiting more often!
The menu they have is nothing like what is displayed on Yelp or elsewhere. It is barely a 3/4 of a page with very limited options.
The food was good.
Food was not that great and service was just ok.
Food was mediocre. Dog in dining room. Dog hair on floor under our table.
This worked only because it was on premis and convenient We had a booth and it was overly bright. Lights could be dimmed. We ordered a calamari appitizer and 2 glasses of wine
We got the appetizer ate it and then asked for our wine. The girl was shocked we had not received. Dinner was great. Overall, next time we might take the free shuttle to Charleston and eat on the mainland
Would have preferred our waiter to wear his mask. All other servers had them on.
Service was a little slow for a Monday night.Food was good but little pricey for the quantity.
With reservations we were seated immediately. Shannon was our server, he was great!
Food was superb, wife had the catch of the day, halibut. I had the pan roasted scallops. Outstanding!
Very nice ambiance and view!
Probably our best meal in Charleston! The view of the harbor and Ravenel Bridge are delightful, our server, Alicia, was very attentive, and our food was fantastic. Highly recommend the Wonton and Pimento Cheese appetizer. (Parking will be validated.)
Perfect place to eat and have a nice view. 10/10 recommend. The brunch menu was great. The chicken and waffles were absolutely delicious. Sharon was also an outstanding server.
I had the grilled salmon which was delicious. The Brussels sprouts starter was so very good! Only problem I had was the parking exit which would not take payment so the lady behind us scanned her hotel card to get the gate up. We would've had to have four cars back up to turn around.
Ordered chicken and shrimp gumbo. Got chicken, no shrimp and for cost was not much food. Waitress was wonderful!
Outstanding service the food was really good we be back
we are transient boaters and are here for a week. The service we received was exemplary . The halibut was prepared to perfection spicy and moist. The portion size was excellent and definitely a place we will eat at again.
Small portions, one step above home cooked food. Very average. Nice view of the marina though.
The food was great and Shannon provided excellent service!
Food below par for area. Great view of USS Yorktown
Food was fine. Service was poor
Very impressed! Food was excellent! We had the skillet cornbread for appetizer and fried shrimp and shrimp and grits for main course. It was all very very good! Price was pleasantly surprised for the quality of food!!
The alcoholic drinks weren’t very good but the food we had was delicious.
Good was amazing. Views and sunset even better! Highly recommend
Rachel did a great service to our table and we enjoyed a sensational evening!
Automatically reduced rating one point for refusing a substitute for side dish. Had others but waiter wouldn’t do it.
Excellent food. My wife and myself were very happy with the service and food.
The food was expensive & not that good... otherwise it’s a beautiful place to be at sunset!
