It was a beautiful night to watch the sunset over Charleston. The bartender, Chip was the best and our waitress was as well. Prime rib was a little tough, but the scallops were wonderful.
First this is a very scenic restaurant with the main dining area bring open with screens. Provides and open air feeling. The upstairs has a bar with beautiful scenes of the River and The USS Yorktown at Patriots Point. Tables are spaced out, too. Impressive with the cleanliness, the setting, the view, the staff and the food. The Grouper was great, crab cake a hit, the Turkey Dinners for Thanksgiving were very good. A different Thanksgiving for our family but very good food and setting. Easy to get to from Charleston Historic District and on Patriots Point. Easy to recommend to visitors.
Great food and service but not quite the night water experience I was hoping for
The lunch menu was very small and limited. Would not recommend unless you want to try dinner. Food was good but they didn’t have much to offer for lunch.
The seafood is fresh, prepared and served well. The view is outstanding.
Best cole slaw I ever had. I don’t recommend the crab cakes.
The view is stunning, and our server was courteous and attentive. The food however was missing any kind of seasoning, and my whole party felt the portions were much smaller than expected for the price. Most of the clientele is older and everyone was dressed very casually. I guess I was just expecting more.
Great atmosphere and even better food! Will always send business their way!
Excellent, the Salmon melted in my mouth. My Husband had steak The New York Strip and Sauted Srimp. We traveled from Atlanta and the food and service was amazing.
The food was overly priced for the small amount of food and the server was barely there.
Everyone thought that their food (Caesar salad, scallops, she crab soup, salmon, and grouper) was excellent. While not crowded, it was nearly an hour from order to delivery with no sign of our waitress between. That set a negative tone. As usual the view was spectacular and the prices a little on the high side. Will still recommend it, and continue to dine there.
We had a good dinner, but not great. Peel and eat shrimp were okay but not that fresh. The bisque was served lukewarm. We sent it back. My wife had roasted grouper on risotto- pretty good. I had the roasted scallops. Sadly the scallops were undercooked. I brought them home to eat later. Wine was good. Ambiance was really good. Dessert was good. Our sever was adequate but Stepford. ("my pleasure" ... No feeling or interest). She'd make better tips if she connected with customers.
The worst was not being able to get out of the damn parking lot due to the crappy exit gate. We were stuck for 5+ minutes before another car let us out.
Very impressed with the staff and the atmosphere. The Grouper was delicious. Very well cooked. My wife had the hamburger due to seafood allergies. She said it was very good. All in all was a very good dining experience.
Great view of Charleston, very friendly and helpful service , well prepared delicious meal.
Had a great meal! Thank you! We like to eat here when we stay at the beach club
The view was awesome. The service started out good. The server was friendly. Aps came quickly (brussel sprouts were delicious), but people that arrived 20-30 minutes after us got their meals 20 minutes before us. We had to ask our server what was going on before she realized it. When our food finally came, the grouper was tough and the scallops were flavorless. With 4 glasses of wine our meal was $160+. Too much to pay for marginal food. They were kind enough to comp us a bottle of wine which was appreciated but we were really looking forward to some good seafood.
Beautiful setting. Food was lovely. Views make the ambience, fabulous
The place, the ambiance, and the food were all wonderful! Would highly recommend just for the view itself. Everything we ordered was delicious. (The soup, however, came out lukewarm and was a bit thick), but everything else made up for it.
A bit on the pricey side, but would still go back.
The view was stunning and breaktaking. Even on a rainy day, that was the outstanding.
Great food and great view on the porch! Seemed to be good with social distancing and wearing masks. Would definitely go back again.
The food was excellent. The waitress was very pleasant and allowed us the time for a relaxing dinner. Will definitely be back!
My husband and I went here for a casual dinner overlooking the USS Yorktown - the views did not disappoint! I would’ve loved to have had more of an ambiance for a Saturday night but altogether it was great!
We will be back. Had a great dinner enjoyed the view of the harbor.
Chose this place because my dinner date was staying at the hotel nearby. We thought about going downtown but the convenience of this place was too tempting. So glad we chose it- best view! Even though Charleston is known for restaurants and water there aren’t many restaurants with a water view! Also wonderful service and great food!
The service was very good. The food was ok not my favorite. The main entrees were too bland for our taste. The wedge salad was really good though. That and our waitress were the best part.
Everything was great, except it was really hot in the restaurant.
Caitlyn, our server, was phenomenal!!! The food was okay and took a long time. The location is great and restaurant nice. I would go back but Charleston has too many marvelous options. We loved Caitlyn though!!!
With reluctance (COVID) we dined out at The Charleston Harbor Fish House at Patriot's Point last weekend. I made my reservation on Open Table, primarily because I was unable to get anyone on the phone at the restaurant. We all wore masks upon entering and requested outdoor seating, with which we were accommodated. The view was incredible through the large screened porch. We could see the USS Yorktown in all its glory, and as night fell its lighting made it even more fabulous. We were seated a good distance from the others dining there. Waitstaff were appropriately masked, and wore gloves. The servers remained as distant as practical. The environment was perfect. I enjoyed the special which was "The Tuscan" a great medley of mussels, shrimp and grilled toast. It was great, although 2 mussels hadn't opened during cooking. Other guests in our group got the Springer Mtn Farms Chicken which was a very generous chicken breast, well prepared and delicious. Yet another had the Charleston shrimp and grits and commented that it was quite tasty. The surf and turf option that night was a sizeable NY sirloin with very large scallops, which was more than enough for two to enjoy. The grilled salmon was also generously portioned, and good perfectly, not mushy and not overdone! We were very pleased with our visit and recommend the Fish House highly.
it was disappointing, we were seated in an open area it was very cold and windy we asked them to close the windows they told me the customers who were sitting there asked for the windows open, but nobody ask me if i wanted to stay in that area. I made the reservation the day before and it left me very dissatisfied.
Excellent food and service!! I would definitely go again and recommend this restaurant to anyone!!
Birthday dinner. First visit and had been on my list of one to visit. Beautiful setting, nice ambiance, great staff. However, there were a few drunk ladies at a table making way too much noise. They should have moved to the rooftop bar. There was a private party with screaming babies just over the partitioned wall. There was an additional private party in the bar area. I say all that to say the kitchen must have been focusing on those parties because it took FOREVER to be served. Starting with a bowl of she crab soup that took FOREVER and then it had absolutely NO flavor. I think they forgot to add the crab. The manager removed it from the menu for the night as agreed it was not up to their standards. The main course was not much better. The surf and turf served a steak also lacked any seasoning. The parmesan shrimp was the saving grace of that dish but only 4 shrimp. The skillet cornbread was under baked and stuck the roof of our mouths. The local grouper was beautiful yet again no flavor. The asparagus and grits were the stars of that entree. A lot of money for 4 shrimp, asparagus and grits. Because it was a special birthday dinner we had wanted coffee and dessert but we decided not to even try. We couldn’t wait to leave. The meal took 90 minutes.
I’ve always heard really good things about this restaurant and because this may have just been a REALLY OFF night for the kitchen I may give it a second chance but not any time soon.
Ribeye cuts of meat are really poor for the price. Margaritas at the bar not so good, the Reel Bar margaritas are amazing compared to fish house.
Views where great, she crab soup was very good, stay way from the steaks and crab cakes, not good at all.
Yummy flavor combinations. Grouper is my favorite and this chef's version didn't disappoint. Outside seats are tiny and uncomfortable and truly disappointing that doors were down on such a pleasant evening.
Took our family there for a nice dinner, they were very impressed!
Delicious with exceptional view! Rachel was a wonderful waitress.
The Covid measures were properly in place. The food was amazing and wait staffs very attentive.
We had a beautiful view of the harbor. Our waitress was very polite and attentive. We had the fried calamari and fried shrimp. We enjoyed our meal and our experience at the restaurant.
We go into the Charleston area often and wanted to try a nice dining experience in Mt Pleasant. We were very pleased to find this venue. Service and food was excellent. We had oysters as a starter and the shrimp and grits. Excellent! My husband had the crab cakes. Excellent. Of course we tried a little of each. Beautiful view. The outdoor bar upstairs was a great experience as well. Must try!
