Service was good. The food was meh For the price. We are the shrimp and grits That was not on par with other local restaurants, and a fillet mignon I was pretty bland tasting. Great views however
Lovely evening of fun and good food. Couldn’t beat the views of the USS Clamagore right out the window. Boats coming up and down the harbor.
Crab cakes too much bread.
Shrimp and grits bland.
Good service where the server presented my wife with special treats or candies for our anniversary.
Very special. The USS Yorktown provided aerial bombardment during WWII in the Pacific campaign (Operation Flintlock). My father was a US Marine who must have seen the Yorktown or the aircraft from the Yorktown bombing specific sites before the major amphibian landing on the Marshall Islands.
The wait staff was slow, inexperienced.
Our service was not great. It made an impression. Food was not great either, but very good. Would consider coming back.
Nice view of the harbour. Food was beautiful to look at and tasted great! Waiter and hostess were very nice and informative. Would recommend this place to visitors to the area and to locals both.
Chowder, she crab soup, shrimp and grits, and oysters were all flavorful and enjoyed. Service by Romanine was top notch and the views were much appreciated. Bar on the top floor had good service as well. Would recommend especially if already I. The Patriot’s Point area.
The food was average. It was very loud. The server was very nice.
Great ambiance and views of the Ravenel Bridge and USS Yorktown, away from all the hustle downtown. Great food and decent service.
Limited selections for lunch. Had reservations and they sat us where view was blocked by a pole and venue had better open seats. Then reported we didn’t show up. Won’t return.
Fabulous view of the fireworks on July 4th when they opened the garage-like walls. Food and service were exceptional!
We had reservations and got seated on time. The service was wonderful. The views are amazing. Food was great. We will be back.
Beautiful view of the marina & bridge into Charleston. The upstairs was closed for a private event so we did not get to see the view from there. Food and service was very good.
Although we were a bit concerned after reading a few not so favorable reviews, we were pleasantly surprised with our dining experience. We had an early dinner at 5:45 in the main dining room.
The view was incredible and the chairs were comfortable. The interior was updated and lovely. The patio chairs were metal, so perhaps that is the reason for the complaint from other patrons regarding the chairs.
The food was very good and service was excellent. We did however ask for an appetizer and a couple of drinks that were on the menu that they did not have. Although the server was unapologetic, we were not bothered by that. We aren’t picky so we just order something else.
We would recommend this restaurant to friends.
Food not nearly as good as it usually is. Very very noisy. Service so so. I go here often but this time it was disappointing.
Slowest service. Got seated at 8:15, ordered right away and got our food at 9:30. Food was good but not for an hour and half wait. Views are beautiful, definitely a go to for pictures!
Food and service were excellent! Highly recommend.
We came in at 9:45 on Sunday night probably not too excited to see us, but we had been at a baseball field all day and were desperate for a good meal. The service was excellent, our server was professional and polite despite our late arrival and kitchen was fast and still producing a high quality meal. I wish we had arrived earlier to appreciate the view. We would try again.
Great atmosphere and nice to watch the sunset. Skip was an awesome bartender. Food was good, but service was very slow.
This was a really disappointing experience. First, we were not seated in the dining room but in a more open area by the bar. The chairs were the most uncomfortable chairs I have ever encountered. So much so that I actually asked for another chair. The waiter said he would get one from the dining room. Never happened. We ordered our food. I had a gin and tonic before dinner. It came with no lime. Who serves gin and tonic without lime?! Okay, so I got the lime. The food comes...they serve it to the table next to us (!). There is confusion at that table and they realize their mistake. So they actually pulled the plates off that table and served them to us! Well, the swordfish was actually cooked nicely. That was about the only good thing about the experience. It was so loud there that you had to yell for the person sitting across from you to hear you. This is not a place I would return to at all.
We were there for a special occasion and it just didn't quite meet our expectations. The food was overpriced for the quality. The service was just ok. Was too loud inside. Requested a seat with a view of the harbor and got sat in front of a window with a huge bar in the middle. There are much better places to eat in Charleston that are better priced.
The restaurant was fairly empty yet it took way too long for the food to come out. Food overpriced. Service average. Scenery was good....I won't be returning.
This restaurant could be much better with just a couple adjustments. The one thing that really bothered me were the sticky concrete floors as soon as I walked in to the seating area past the bar. Food was good but not great, I think a new chef could really give the food some pop. Service was descent but not outstanding. It was very loud so for me it would be best for a happy hour. I would call it average but had a nice view and some other dishes that came out looked tasty. I will likely return for a happy hour sometime or maybe a lunch.
Server was too busy
Food was mediocre
View was amazing out into the harbor. The service was slow due to a party upstairs that had to get their food before us. The food was mediocre, I’ve never had a filet that tasted so bland.
Maybe we caught them on a bad night...crying babies and noisy children at nearby tables, slow service (from bar and kitchen), a long delay before advising that fried oysters were not available (a primary reason for selecting the restaurant)...food was good but just not the experience we expected. We would give this restaurant another chance and you should, too. If nothing else, the view is spectacular and it’s a great place to watch the sun set.
We stayed on site so close and convenient. Food and service was very good. Good wine list. Scenic. We went on rooftop. Great service, scenery and sunset. Would definitely come back and recommend to others.
Was looking forward to eating here, website mentions views while eating...our table was on side near water but we were seated in the section set up for open dinning and at eye level is blocked...the chairs were very uncomfortable as well..food was very good just disappointed in seating
Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Other than her service, nothing else stood out on our visit.
Our reservation was at 8:15. We ordered immediately We did not receive our food until 9:35. One steak was undercooked and both meals were cold. Not cool, cold. The waiter said he was terribly sorry and could not have been nicer. He said there was a problem in the kitchen and offered to cook them again. The manager came over and reiterated that they would cook us another meal. We said no thank you that if they would give us our ticket we would pay for our drinks. She acted as if she could care less
Started in upstairs bar area. Lisa was friendly and took time with all patrons.... enjoyable experience. Best Dark and Stormy ever had.
Went downstairs for dinner reservation. Romaine our waiter was polite and informative about menu. Food was delicious. My husband had a special which was Corvina fish and it was a generous portion in a beautiful presentation. I had fried oysters and they were very large, lightly breaded and not at all greasy. We liked our table by the windows as requested. Nice views of harbor and Yorktown. Sunset views not available this night but Lisa had showed us some great pictures of other days. Would definately recommend. Most enjoyable evening of our trip.
Four of us all enjoyed our meals. Service and ambiance was very good. We will return.
Great service with amazing view of harbor and USS Yorktown.
Excellent food and service. It was a little noisy. The wine was mediocre. In fact, the wine is the only reason I might reconsider coming back. However, it was one of the best seafood dinners I have had in a very long time. They also validate parking.
Enjoyed my birthday dinner there!
The lovely waitress from Jamaica was wonderful!Food was good but the hush puppies seemed hard almost stale.
Very average-We had high expectations but food was not impressive. We were seated by a dark wall under construction with no view, apparently they will not seat large parties by the window because they have to push tables together? Best part was the hush puppies-
Meh all around. Nice view but service and food sub par for the price.
Very nice seafood restaurant, many choices, very good food, very good service, very nice space, fantastic view
