Chardonnay's Ratings and Reviews
My boyfriend and I went here on Valentine’s Day we found a reservation for 7 at 6:30! Which was already a score, we arrived on time seated within a few minutes. We ordered our appetizer (calamari) it arrived fast and was very tasty! Next we both ordered the special it was lobster tortellini with 2 cajan spiced shrimps in a spicy pink vodka sauce. It was amazing to say the least the sauce had little pieces of lobster meat as well in it, we both enjoyed this very much. Next we both had dessert I had the PBC I believe it’s called? Amazing amount of chocolate and peanut butter and my boyfriend had the s’mores pie which they put the marshmallows on fire! It was a very great experience and overall amazing meal and service never in my life have i had such service and besides the fact it was Valentine’s Day the busiest day to go out to eat! Highly recommend if you have not gone go now!!!!
Visited this restaurant quite a few years ago the lighting seem to be better than the last time I was there the food very good service was very good and also learned Specials Deleigh would recommend this restaurant to other people. The free birthday meal brought me back to this restaurant and it was worth every penny good job
We had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday with friends at Chardonnay’s. The food and drink was yummy and the waitress we had was the best! She was very knowledgeable and efficient-a pleasure to have.
The only complaint I have is the parking. It was horrible!!! Not enough spaces ...wish that could be resolved because then it would be perfect.
We will definitely go back.
My wife and I visited Chardonnay's for her birthday. We both had the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The cook did an excellent job! Not only were the chops cooked just right but the presentation was very nice. Our waitress Jessica was both pleasant and professional. We expect to return again soon.
The evening started out well, good appetizers, prompt service to start with...then it fell apart! The others in my party received and ate their meals while I waited for an extra 18 minutes for my meal because the water didn't submit the correct request to the chef. The waiter twice promised the correction would be made and my meal would be out in 5 minutes. I was not charged for one of two appetizers and a fine glass of Cabernet, which I requested after the first promise to serve my meal, helped to pass the wait-time, but the damage had been done at that point. I had made the reservation for this outing to celebrate a birthday for a member of our party. Needless to say I remain disappointed at the outcome and will not be eating at Chardonnay's in the future.
Parking was a nightmare. Circled five times and finally park at the mart next door. Which seems like not a bad idea since the lots basically connects. HOWEVER towards the end of dinner our waitress mentions cars being towed and there is extra parking belonging to Chardonnays across the street! Boy was this an incredibly INCONVENIENT way to find out about the extra parking!!!! They towed our car which made our dinner bill more than double the amount!!!!!very disappointing as it turned into a very expensive dinner after paying the tow guy to get our car back. Left upset but goodbye was good.
A friend and I attended dinner during Restaurant Week and the food was amazing! . We used the "Select a Table" option on the website to make a reservation, which works awesome....we did not have any wait time. The food was prepared as requested (I am a Weight Watcher) and I was able to enjoy my meal to the fullest and still stay on program! Our waitress was friendly, very attentive, and our orders came exactly as requested. I had the tenderloin/shrimp/scallop skewers. I did not eat my banana cream pie (which looked "wonderful"), but took it home to my husband who said it was the best he had ever eaten. What a wonderful dining experience! We'll return!
I thought the food was great. The service was average since our waiter seemed very distracted. It made us feel like we were imposing and we felt rushed. The environment was pleasurable except it was very cold in the restaurant. You want to feel relaxed and comfortable and that was definitely not the case. Everyone around us was putting their jackets on while eating dinner. I would return only because the food was exceptional.
There is big problem with parking. Arrived for a 6:00 reservation and there were no spots. After calling the restaurant, I was advised to park across the street behind the gas station where the staff parks. Taunton Ave is a four lane road, it was pouring rain and I had no desire to park in a dirt lot. After deciding to go somewhere else, I noted someone pulling out of the Chardonnay lot and was able to park.
Weak beer selection. The two best beers were Dogfish Head 60 and Wormtown Be Hoppy. There are so many better beers in New England. Service was slow and poor. One person was brought the wrong side and another the wrong beer. Meal took 2 hours without apps or desserts.
