Charcoal Grill & Bar
Delicious new flavors with eye catching cocktails! Lucky to have a cool new Kosher restaurant in town.
Excellent service. From beginning to end. The portion sizes are very big. 1 people can share 1 entree. Yes it’s a bit pricey but when you take on the consideration of the portion sizes and divide by 2. It’s pretty average in price.
Good quality is fantastic. From the Rib eye to the chicken schnitzel.
Amazing food, large portions, pricey. Very tasty!!
Great food! Portions are rather large so you can take home if you are a lighter eater. The music is playing a tad too loud but it's fun so overall a nice experience!
The food we ordered was delicious I got to try a new drink it was a arak piña colada and it was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to all!!!
Food, drinks and service were all outstanding. Highly recommend.
Was awesome. Love going there. Every time we go have a great experience.
Food was Great!!!
Food is beyond yummy. Inside is noisy. Outside seating available. Parking is a bit challenging. Will definitely be back.
Was amazing. Always look forward to eatong there. We live in ny and come back every time. From the food to the waiters its beyond great. Laughter & fun
Awesome as usual!!! Always a great vibe and relaxing atmosphere.
Great food, loved all the dishes, meat is grilled perfectly. Salads super yummy!
If you're looking for a restaurant with an amazing vibe, and great food, this is it!
Excellent food. Excellent service. Would highly recommend.
Forest, and foremost, the food was great! And the portions were huge! We ordered two appetizers and 1 entree, and had 2/3 left over. The cauliflower appetizer was delicious! And the hummus was great!
The service was good too, but a bit too attentive. Be prepared to know what you wanna order the second you sit down. And if you don’t, be prepared to be asked multiple times within a 10 minute period. Seriously, there was a lot of pressure to make quick decisions.
Additionally, the ambiance was not very intimate. I wouldn’t recommend for a 1, 2, or 3 date. However, I definitely recommend for all other occasions.
It can get loud, especially if you sit outside (and not because of street traffic). The tables are very close together, so be prepared to hear lots of other conversations while attempting to have your own.
All in all, I’d def come back here to try more menu items! Although, I foresee myself coming here with family or friends, as opposed to a date.
Three dates, special occasion
What a delight! The experience was exceptional from the greeting at the entrance, the knowledgeable waitresses, and skilled kitchen snd bar staff. After 8 years of living in Los Angeles I finally found a restaurant I would recommend and go back to. It is pricey, and worth the price. Our Marilyn cocktails were perfectly executed. The hummus and falafel reminiscent of the best restaurants in Jerusalem. The cauliflower was the best I've ever had, nicely seasoned with texture and sweetness added. We had kabobs and the rice and Israeli salad were perfect, and the kabob flavor and spicing spot on. Yes.. we plan to return!
Best Kosher restaurant and ambiance great bar and fun food!
Great food but very pricey!
Amazing! But too loud
High quality food in a energizing ambience inside. Very attentive waitress and service team. Only thing to know is that they will only allow Kosher certified wines to be opened in the restaurant.
Make your reservations ahead of time as this is a very popular place- not suitable for a last minute outing decision.
Food is outstanding but a bit overpriced.
If you can get a seat indoors- you lucked out. Outside there a lot of noise from the street and we were a bit warm...
Great place! Felt like I was in Tel Aviv
Have to here a few times since it opened. Went on a Tuesday night with the whole family for my wife’s bday. They were very accommodating with our large party. Everything from the service to the food was top notch. The manager even came by personally to make sure that everything was good. Food portions were big. Presentation and taste were excellent. Will definitely be coming back again.
Great food service.. very good service
This was the first time I had been to Charcoal Bar & Grill. When I arrived for my reservation the only table was seated outside exactly where I didn’t want to be. Although it was extremely busy, the hostess was calm and tried to accommodate my request to sit indoors. I offered to wait and they were able to fit me and my guest in at the bar right where we could see all the food getting cooked and up close. It was the perfect spot. The chef, and our two servers were conversational and upbeat. All of that alone would cause me to write a nice review, but then the food came I was blown away. The charcoal cauliflower was unbelievable. We could not get over how good it was. Then the rib-eye and the burger were heavenly. It was an exceptional culinary experience and it will now be my fine dining place of choice. I could not have asked for a nicer evening, well done all around.
Delicious food whether it’s kosher or not. Delicious side dishes as well as main courses. Recommend cauliflower and eggplant and rib eye!
Excellent food service was fab
Main dishes were large and for Sharing Will def go back
Excellent food and excellent service. Would go there again and again. A little small so make sure you have reservations.
Good food and nice presentation. With not very many entrees on the menu, did find it concerning that a few of them were not available.
I 100% recommend this place to everyone who likes good quality and different food, honestly the prices are a bit high but the portions are big and most of them are good for two, as soon as we ordered steak and burger the food was ready on our table that we kinda didn't like it means that we didn't have enough time to enjoy our wine and ambient and it's because there are so many demands and less room, so the food was really delisious and the staff were very welcoming ,we would love to go there agin and again
The food is excellent-especially the desserts. The menu is however expensive-$39 for a hamburger with a small amount of fries. Very good service. The portion of schnitzel is huge. However, not all of the menu items were available.
The Bar/Restaurant is located in a great location. Although the food, service, and the overall ambiance was very good the price of the for is outlandish. Would I have known the meal would be so expensive-close to $200.00 for 3 people, I would never have gone. It is ridiculously expensive. $37 for schnitzel - that is more than ridiculous without sides.
Not thrilled that they list bourbon that they never stock. Bar needs work.
Delicious! Expensive but large shareable portions. So good you can't tell it's kosher
Excellent food good atmosphere fun place To hang out
Great food interesting menu! Service a little slow but worth the wait.
Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences my family and I have had in a long time.
First, we were seated outside in the cold with miserable heaters (we were given no choice where to sit ) and we had to beg to have the heaters turned on;
Second, the seats were on the sidewalk in front of the hostess stand where people crowded up and practically stood on top of us.
There were menu items that showed ingredients included in the price that I surprisingly had to pay extra for ... and they said “it’s a mistake on the menu”; Really, an additional $2 for a slice of pastrami bacon on a $40+ hamburger....
The prices here are outrageous... Maestro level prices with A Bob’s big boy ambience...
I could go on and on... I would never recommend or return.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD. VIBE. STAFF. MUSIC.
Best kosher Place and one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in LA!! Such a fun night out!
