Northwest Chef and Edmonds native Jake Wilson brings his signature care for cuisine and jovial grin to Main Street in Downtown Edmonds. At the heart of the kitchen is a charcoal fired grill, inspired by the Argentinian Santa Maria style, and custom built to serve the finest bounties of the Pacific Northwest. Located in the Graphite Art Center building on 2nd and Main, Charcoal is where food and art come to meet.

    Our first time dining here and loved our experience. Jin was very attentive and knowledgeable about their food craft. Highly recommend the bone marrow and Santa Maria mixed grill! Look forward to next time!

    My husband and I dined here for the first time for his birthday and the only thing that wasn’t perfect was our table. When I reserved on OpenTable I asked for a window seat and when we arrived they were all taken, so that was immediately disappointing. But the food was wonderful, we really liked sharing the mixed grill for two! Even the house salad was surprisingly good, I normally forgo salads but I loved the avocado and pepitas. They let us substitute the papas bravas for truffle fries, which was also amazing. Our drinks were great too, we did the Happy Hour old fashioned and lemon drop, then my husband got the draft Pilsner with a shot and I did the Hemingway #2 with some simple syrup. We also got two desserts, but I’m sad the bread pudding was off the menu! Bring back bread pudding!! Our coffee crème brûlée was a bit thick on top, I kinda felt like I was eating a window pane, but it was delicious underneath. Our server was Sophia, she was awesome ❤️ We did debate whether to go to Salt + Iron or here, and I’m glad we chose Charcoal in the end. We will be back!

    Came to Charcoal for the first time to celebrate my fiancés birthday. He had steak - I had scallops. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. Our server made our celebration special and the experience was wonderful. We will be back!

    We were celebrating our 52nd anniversary and it was just perfect for us. The service, the food and the ambience all were just what we were looking for. It is fairly expensive but well worth it. It looks like a great happy hour and we'll be back for that. An unexpected extra was that it was Tuesday night/ half price bottle of wine night with a great selection. We highly recommend it.

    My husband and I went to Charcoal for our 42nd anniversary. The staff and our server all said "Happy Anniversary" to us and we each received a glass of champagne to help celebrate the evening! The food was wonderful!!!
