You will not be disappointed with the food or service but you'll certainly remember the tab - and that is not to say that the expense is not worth it. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves very much and have every intention of returning - before or after we win the lottery!

Great steakhouse atmosphere. Classy without being too old school formal. The service was excellent. Good selection of steaks as well as other options. The cocktails were generous and the wine list excellent. My steak was cooked to perfection.

Very good experience. Food was good and the waiter was very courteous and experienced. Will definitely go back and try some other stuff .

Great experience in the Scotch Plains location. So glad Char is now closer to our home. Beautiful and lively steakhouse. Our steaks were perfectly seasoned and just what one expect from a steakhouse. The restaurant had more than adequate servers and busses. Our server, Richard was one of the most pleasant and caring servers we have ever experienced. Many times he would check on us for any of our needs. Very gracious and polite. Manager even went to tables to check on the patrons. Hats off to Char Scotch Plains and their amazing server, Richard

First time coming here since they took over the space from a previous restaurant that closed that was here the brookstone. They did a total remodel it's nice and very upscale. I ordered a petite filet mignon and loaded baked potato both were very good,cooked perfectly and tasted good. My waiter was very attentive and friendly. My only gripe is the $7 credit card fee they charged me and my guest meals was over $230 so charging me a credit card fee just seems petty. So I suggest paying in cash like I will next time I visit

Fantastic meal, steaks cooked exactly as ordered. Tween loved the burger. Music was too loud, acoustics need some work. Even waiter needed to ask a few times what we said, glad he repeated orders back to us.

Food was great, Service was very good. I know they’re still new and they’re still working on the outdoor patio. Inside looks very nice, but it had to be the worst dining experience of my life. I’m not trashing the place. It was so loud and it wasn’t even Fully occupied. It was just sold out. I could not hear my friend across the table. They are in dire need of acoustic paneling. Something has to absorb that sound bouncing around all over the place other than that everything was great. And because of that, I will not return for recommend
