Wonderful bone-in fillet! Hayley made sure everything was the best. We had Eagle Rock and Blue Point oysters.....perfectly shucked, and the horseradish is everything you could wish for. Only wish I had room for the S'mores Brulee!

Our waiter was awesome but food delivery and service was slow. We were the last table to leave for the night. I ordered my steak medium however it was overcooked as were others at our table. Our sides were amazing. The atmosphere was awesome and I will give it another try.

We had the absolute best dining experience at Char celebrating our Anniversary!! I placed reservation on open table and every thing I requested they took note of and fulfilled them all! This is actually the first restaurant that has done this and it was highly appreciated. Thank you so much Char for making it such a memorable night and the food was outstanding!

We went there for our Anniversary and the food and experience did not disappoint. We both had steak, shrimp scampi, calamari, and the espresso martinis did NOT disappoint. What was disappointing was that we put in our reservation that we were celebrating our Anniversary and asked for a special table. We did receive a nice table, actually most of them were great. However, there was no acknowledgment of our Anniversary at all, which usually in high end places, they go all out. The REAL bummer was when the check came and our server asked if we wanted 2 checks or 1 check!!! We are a same sex couple, but still..... what strange ending to what was otherwise a great dining experience.

Justin always remembers us and makes sure that we have a wonderful experience. When tried several restaurants when we came to Missouri 3 years ago. We decided that Char is by far the best for both the food and eating experience.

Wonderful experience once again! Seated promptly, Katy our server made sure everything was just the way we wanted. Delmonico was the best ever, and happy the 8oz Waygu is on the menu.

First time visiting here, we had eaten at Flame and wanted too try Char. It was excellent! Tomahawk was delicious along with the wagyu meatballs for the appetizer.

One of the best restaurants/ experiences I’ve ever had. Our waiter Brent was outstanding! He knew the menu, knew the oysters. Made my wife and I vet happy to be there. He was spot on throughout. E3 steak had good flavor. I order rare, it was a bit over done but the thickness of the steak may have lent to the somewhat over cooked “crust” on the outside. Brent made the night wonderful for our anniversary. Will go back whenever I am in Springfield with the wife again.

Another outstanding experience. We have been numerous times, but love taking friends from out of town. Visited with friends celebrating their wedding anniversary, and they were blown away! Had the Waygu for the first time and will definitely order again. Can't wait for our next visit!

The restaurant was nice, made a reservation and still had to wait on a table for a bit. Service was not what i expected for the price was not up to par. Food was good. We ended up not getting everything that we ordered and had to let the waiter know to remove an item off our bill. Id say if you go there sit at the bar or outside for lounging but we were there from 7pm till almost 930 and was not happy it took that long to get seated and get our food. Way to long to be in a restaurant just for dinner. Glad we experienced it, food was good just expensive. Probably wont be back.

Really enjoyed the restaurant and food was good. The only issue was like it seems most restaurants have is staff. Started off with Oysters which were fabulous then a wedge which was excellent and for the main wife and I split the Delmonico steak. The server was in training and messed up the order and when the correction was made it took about 15 minutes. The general manager John went above and beyond an made everything right. Char you are lucky toque him. Thanks John

Just meh. First, seated at a banquet round table for 8 with just 4 of us dining (not great for conversation and just weird). There were multiple service failures. Had to chase staff for our filet mignon sauces for 5 mins after the steaks were served. They totally whiffed on one of our sides, so we had to remind them. The chocolate soufflet cake was dry as dust, and they were out of the huckleberry ice cream that was supposed to come with it. Espresso was available but not cappuccino (What?) No black tea available either (just a random herbal was available) Far, far short of a fine dining experience for fine dining prices.

Everything was amazing.we stopped in for my mother's birthday and everything was better than. I could have anticipated. There was one? Issue. With my mom stake being overcooked. But they immediately made it right. Best steak I ever had. The japanese sweep potatoes were also some of the best i've ever had.

Vacation dinner with friends. Great service, friendly and prompt. We tried a wide variety of items, from oysters and salads, to steak Oscar and lamb shank. Topped it off with two types of crème brûlée. The food was fantastic, each dish better than the last. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately every once and a while a restaurant has an off night, sadly it was on my moms Birthday. I brought my girlfriend to a date night a few weeks ago and had an amazing experience so I didn’t hesitate in going back. We ordered a dozen oysters to start, received 11, our waitress was wonderful and brought out four more to apologize, the four weren’t shucked properly. Our entrees were all amazing except my moms, her sea bass was wonderful but all the accompaniments were room barely temp. Overall we will return just hopefully the oyster bar/kitchen matches the amazing service by our waitress.
