   I was very pleased and impressed with the overall quality of the food, reasonable cost and exceptional service that was very much in evidence during my first time at this particular establishment. I will definitely return at my earliest possible opportunity, and would strongly encourage everyone who is seeking a highly positive and flavorful dining experience to visit this restaurant as soon as possible.

   Service and atmosphere were great. Steaks and potatoes were very salty. Other side was ok. Very pricey.

   I dined during midshift/ shift change, and usually when you go to a place during that time, guest seemed to get neglected. I appreciate the fact that I received great (attentive)service.

    The restaurant was lovely and the food was wonderful. We did not know about the Happy Hour menu and were able to try items (smaller portions at a lower price). I absolutely LOVED the crab cakes! Wonderful experience and I can’t wait to go back again (and again).

    Everything about this restaurant was fabulous! The staff were all friendly and accommodating and the food was amazing. I had the filet - one of the best I’ve ever had. The wedge salad was outstanding! The appetizers, especially the onion rings and fried green tomatoes were excellent. I don’t think you could go wrong with anything on the menu!

    Took our mom out for an early Mother’s Day meal. Ordered steak, red fish, pork chops, and salmon. Had fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. All were good and nice sized portions. Atmosphere was nice.

    Visited CHAR for dinner! Excellent choice !!! The food and cocktails were delicious and great portions! The ambience and environment were nice and clean. The hostess was efficient and pleasant. Our server, JD, stole the show with his calm demeanor, overall knowledge and exceptional service! I will absolutely dine here in the future!

    Lunch menu a great value with right-sized portions and healthier options available. Our food has always been well-prepared and flavorful, a good central city alternative to the similar Seasons 52. We make a point to dine here before Sunday afternoon Memphis Symphony performances at the nearby Scheidt Center.

    The food is always flavorful and the presentation is the epitome of fine dining. I have become a regular at Char because of its food and ambience. The customer service begins with the hosts at entry and with your waiter/waitress throughout your dining experience . My favorite entrée is the salmon with broccolini with pecan pie for desert. The short ribs are always perfect and the crab cakes are a must have as a beginner dish. Last but certainly not least, Char has the most reasonable prices and satisfying portions you can get anywhere these days. You will not be disappointed at all but you must make a reservation to ensure you get a table otherwise, the wait can be very long.

    Caesar Salad- I didn't like the dressing,but my husband loved it. Fried Green Tomatoes - the come back sauce is delicious and so are the tomatoes. Ribeye Steak - Delicious, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Fried Oysters - Delicious, I loved them even without a sauce. Brussel Sprouts - I didn't like them, but my husband did Sweet Tea No ice - delicious. I didn't get dessert because we were so full but the next we will. I can't wait.
