    Our server was happy and friendly and the service excellent. We ordered brunch and food was very good, but barely warm. The cheese grits, which are normally very good, were very dry & barely room temperature. Overall my experience was very good.

    The only thing that was bothersome was when we got there, and we had a reservation, the host took forever to pick a table so we could be seated. I was with an elder who had to stand and just wait for her to make a decision. And my menu was wet as it was just cleaned and handed to us. Would be nice to have a dry menu.

    Good meal. Great service. I wish Char did something for special occasions. It was my wedding anniversary and nothing special was offered. Nonetheless, it's a good restaurant.

    This was our second time at Char and it was just as pleasant as the first time. JD was our server and he was extremely nice and helpful. We look forward to our next visit.

    Dined at Char for our first time. Overall, we had an excellent experience from food to service. We had the butter sampler and oyster dish as appetizers. The pork chop entree was delicious. We will be back for sure

    Glad we chose to dine here. Excellent food and great service. The Shrimp and Grits was amazing. Excellent wine selection, especially the by the glass offerings. I will be back on my next trip to Memphis.

    It’s not all the time that you go to restaurants and you get everything in one spot. Char’s exceeded our expectations and having only gone there for the first time we went 4 out of the 5 days of our stay in Memphis! That tells you how much we loved it!

    great overall. Except for screaming kids. 3 tables next to us all had little kids (all under 3) one kept screaming, another banged silverware on plate whole time. Seemed inappropriate to have such young children in fine dining place.

    The server was amazing. Bone-in bone-eye was captivating. However, Brussels came with no bacon and many of the dishes were room temperature at best

    The aesthetic of the restaurant was pretty nice, our waitress was nice, no long wait for the food but the food was NOT good at all.

    We entertained friends from San Antonio, Texas…a retired Major, USMC. Our server, Alie, was exceptional, making the dining experience delightful. We were among the very last to leave. Our guests were blown away by the 5 star appearance of Char. The chef and his team did themselves proud. Thank you for a great evening!

    Everything about Char is excellent from being welcomed at the door to enjoying your meal. I ate the salmon and it was flaky and moist. Delicious! Our server was extremely attentive, but not overbearing. I love the quiet, relaxing ambience and emphasis on an overall amazing experience.

    The overall experience? Outstanding! 9/10 stars. We will be back. JD was our server for the 7:30 reservation, he was respectful, knowledgeable, and quick on his feet, very polite! The Lamb chops and Redfish were amazing! If I had a complaint it would only be that the corn and macaroni are definitely a different taste but it’s worth a try. They aren’t bad but out of the norm.

    Celebrated our anniversary at Char and chose it from previous dinners there. The food was cooked exactly as ordered, service was just right, not too much, not too little. Ambience was good, it was still daylight, after dark it gets better. Wine selection is good as well. Did not order a desert to finish our dinner. Overall, a very good restaurant for special occasions or a great meal.
