   Char Restaurant Review – A Memorable First (and Second) Visit! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I visited Char for the first time this past Friday, and I was so impressed that I returned the following Wednesday to meet another friend. Both experiences were fantastic from start to finish. Our server, Cedrick, deserves a special shoutout—he was attentive, pleasant, and made us feel truly welcomed. He struck the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness, enhancing the whole dining experience. The atmosphere at Char is absolutely on point. The sound levels were just right—not too loud, not too quiet—and the ambience was warm, comfortable, and elegant without feeling stuffy. It’s the kind of place where conversation flows easily, and you feel relaxed from the moment you sit down. Char has definitely earned a spot on my “go-to” list for both casual meetups and special occasions. Looking forward to my next visit!

   We've eaten at Char many times. It was Mother's Day. On this day they were overbooked and under staffed. Waited 30 minutes for our reservation. We had 7 in our party. They mixed up a couple of our orders. At least our server, who knows us because we are regulars, was very good.

   Saw a recommendation on Instagram for the pork chop. Ordered it and it was delicious. And the shrimp bisque was the best I have ever tasted.

   I've been visiting Char for years and it's losing a bit of it's appeal. I'm assuming there is new management as the service is barely adequate and marginally friendly. Food is unchanged and is good quality but the staff has lost it's warm approach to clients. The menu needs an update as well.

   I always eat here when in town and it’s normally good as it was this time. Only issue was it was graduation weekend and they wouldn’t allow us to make a reservation for 20. Forcing us to make two reservations for 10. The reservation was made months ago. When we arrived the tables were on opposite sides of the restaurant. When we asked if we could have the table next to one of our tables for 10, we were told no, and that they have a reservation for 8 coming for that table in an hour. I told him we only have 18, so it would work. Leaving our table for 10 open for that reservation. Without explanation, we were repeatedly told no. Not just no, but no with plenty of attitude, despite us remaining professional. It was an unnecessary inconvenience. I was surprised at the inflexibility shown.

   Hi Renzie, thank you for dining with us — we appreciate your loyalty and are glad you enjoyed your meal. I'm so sorry to hear your seating experience was frustrating. We understand how important it is for groups to be together, especially on special occasions. That said, due to the volume of reservations, our GM did explain in advance we were unable to seat a party of this size together. We offered the best option with two reservations and ensured those were confirmed for your group. While we understand it wasn't ideal, we did our best to honor all reservations, including the table you mentioned, which was committed to another party.    Food took a very long time due to private party in back room. Otherwise it was lovely. I just think kitchen was overwhelmed by the private party

    Thank you to everyone at Char for giving our family a wonderful post-graduation family dinner for 16! Samantha was amazing bouncing between tables and taking care of everyone.
