    The food was spectacular and delicious. However our service was not great. We had reservations and the hostess was perfect. Our waiter was not. No bread service although adjacent tables had it,no water refills even when glasses our were empty. Long wait for the check.

    Char is a favorite dining destination for our family. Highly recommend. We were seated close to kitchen. I should’ve considered that when I took my first bite. The crusted redfish burned my mouth it was so hot. So I just recommend blow blow blow before you take a bite😬. Otherwise a great great experience

    Everything that we had among our group of 4 was outstanding. We were so pleasantly surprised at the Pork Rind appetizer (which we ordered just because it was so out of the ordinary) - it was delicious! We chose Char to celebrate our dear friend’s birthday, and we’re not disappointed!

    We went for our anniversary this year and it was amazing. The food was perfect, our server friendly and attentive. While we have dined there before this dinner was exceptional!! Char is now our new favorite place!

    I would not recommend the house salad. All it contained was frisee lettuce. No other green to give it some taste. It was very bitter. The bisque was excellent. The BBQ shrimp was very spicy, and overall it was ok. For someone who really enjoys spicy foods, this is probably their dish.

    The food was outstanding,cooked to the exact taste and texture. Overall the restaurant would compare to some of the better restaurant that we ate in Europe. prices a bit higher than I Like but still not that bad.Plan on eating there again soon.

    We had a beautiful experience at Char. The food was great. The atmosphere was good and our waitress was wonderful. I had lamb chops and my husband had a pork chop. highly recommend them.

    It was our anniversary and we had an excellent experience. The food was perfect as always. Every facet of the evening was outstanding from the time we walked into the door to the time we exited. All employees were very welcoming, attentive, and engaging. I don't think you can find a better overall dinner experience anywhere. Thanks, Wayne.

    It was a first time visit for me and my lady, it was her birthday. We will definitely return for dinner again. We enjoyed the entire dinner experience. We have found another go to restaurant to add to our list.

    There was no one at the receptionist counter, for a few minutes, when I arrived. I stood there a few minutes and another gentleman came in after me. When the receptionist came, she asked him “how could she help him?” When she returned to me, I was seated with my guest who was already seated. He had ordered water, without lemon. He was served at his left side with a slice of lemon on the rim of the glass. I asked him why the lemon was on the table and not in a saucer/small plate and he indicated that he indicated no lemon so he took it off the glass and put it on the table. Based on the placement of the water, I thought he had ordered the water for me. He ordered a house salad and fried okra. The salad came without the okra. Our waitress never returned to see how our lunch was going. I eventually beckoned to another waitress and asked her if she could check on the okra my guest ordered. I ordered a spinach salad and crab claws, half and half. The sautéed crabs were stirred/cooked until they were broken up into soggy pieces of shredded meat, off the legs. When our waitress finally returned, she did not offer us dessert. I dine there from time to time; however, this was a very different and negative experience. Typically, I tip beyond what is customary but I decided not to tip yesterday because I decided at that time that I am no longer rewarding horrible service.

    Outstanding restaurant with a high end professional, yet sociable wait staff. The quality of food was equal to top fine dining restaurants with a variety of menu items. Having dined in fine restaurants around the world, Char would rank as a first class restaurant, quite surprising for Huntsville. I would recommend this establishment without reservation.

    This was a first visit trip. We went there for our anniversary. I don’t think the experience could have been any better. The food was amazing, the service match of the food, and the overall experience was fabulous. We were allowed to get the seat that we desire, a romantic spot. I don’t think I’ve ever had a better steak.

    We were dining for an anniversary celebration. Business Casual is the dress code, but there were shorts, tee shirts and flip flops. There were also children running around, jumping and rolling on the floor near our table.

    The Char in Huntsville never disappoints. I wanted a good affordable lunch and Char has an excellent choice of daily specials throughout the week. $14.00 for the Daily 'Meat' and a choice of two sides. The sides at Char are among the best choices I have seen, and I highly recommend the Fried Okra.

    It was very loud and not what I would have expected for a “fine dining” restaurant. If you charge fine dining prices, you really should have the ambiance and dress code of a fine dining experience. Wine selection was very nice. Food was well prepared and very good! Overall, it was good- not great. A bit of a disappointment after wanting to go for a long time.
